    Hello

I had posted earlier on the unused hardware reserved RAM when I upgraded my RAM to 3 GB, 6 GB. Link pasted below

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/HP-Pavilion-DV6-2165tx-3GB-hardware-RESE...

I have suggested that I install 64-bit windows.

I tried to create the bootable USB key, but it simply doesn't. Have tried the steps as mentioned in the following links

USB bootable - Windows 7 key

    Installation Windows 7 64 bit

    In brief -

    ISO downloaded 64-bit Windows

    Approach 1-

1 downloaded Windows7 USB DVD Download Tool and created a USB of my 32-bit Windows 7 OS drive

    2. the installation program has not completed. Received error "utility could not create the boot sector on the USB key.

    Approach 2

1 used my laptop desktop - download Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool and created a drive of my Windows 7 64-bit OS

    2. installation completed successfully

3 Connecting USB in my DV6, and click on "setup.exe" in the USB

    4. has received the error "this version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you use...". "

    Approach 3

1 used my laptop desktop - download Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool and created a drive of my Windows 7 64-bit OS

    2. installation completed successfully

    3. change the order of boot in my DV6 - to charge from USB

    4. start Windows gets stuck on "windows loading files" and keeps restarting all stuck in the same loop

Then, when I try to create the bootable USB of my laptop DV6 32 bit, I get an error. When I create my computer laptop desk, my DV6 won't start him.

I read in one of the positions that

    • You can only create a USB stick bootable Windows 7 64 - bit flash player if your current Windows 7 installation is 64-bit also.
    • You can create a USB stick bootable Windows 7 32 - bit flash player if your current Windows 7 installation is 32-bit or 64-bit.

I think that even if I try to burn a DVD, it will be the same question

    Can you please.

    Thank you in advance.

    Found the problem...

I got 6 GB RAM inserted in the notebook (4 + 2 GB sticks).

I removed the newly isnerted memory stick 4 GB and replaced the original configuration that is 1 GB + 2 GB RAM

Windows booted from my USB and I installed 64-bit Windows OS.

Well that now the purpose of installing64bit what OS is still not reached... as the new Windows does not start when I put the 4 GB of RAM in all configurations

    Thank you.

  • I could install windows 8 on my computer hp Dv6-6070ee laptop

I could install windows 8 on my computer hp Dv6-6070ee laptop

Windows 8 is compatible for all the things in my computer hp Dv6-6070ee laptop

    Hello

    Thanks for posting again.

I will now give you instructions how you can test whether Windows 8 will work for you.

Before we begin, I want to say again that

    • Material to your computer allows you to install and run Windows 8.
    • However, I could not find drivers for your machine to Windows 8 and your model was not officially tested with Win 8HP.
    • Personally, I do not guarantee 100% compatibility with absolutely everything and everything works perfectly.
    • So it is for you to test it or not.
    • The procedure takes time.

    Before you begin:

    1. You must create a recovery HP (disks or USB) media - this can be used in case you want to recover your computer to factory default - instructions can be found here
    2. Very important - using Windows 7 built-in options and go to control panel-> system and security control, click on save to your computer. It opens his backup center and restoration. You will need a disk (CD/DVD) and do a Windows recovery disk. It can be used in the case where you have to reimage the machine and return to Windows 7. Instructions here.
    3. Yet once in the backup and Restore Center-> create a system image - this will make a copy of all your hard drive right now. This will help you restore in Windows 7 and the State of the machine (if Windows 8 does not work for you). Instructions on this subject can be found here. I recommend that you create this image on an external hard drive.
    4. Back up your most important files by using the Windows backup utilitity - instructions can be found here. Place them on an external hard drive.

Once you are ready with the above steps, and if they have successfully completed, you are fully backed up and you can continue with the experience/test.

Download the Advisor of Windows 8 upgrade from here and run it.

It will scan your computer and if it is compatible and what needs to be changed before you move to Windows 8.

Follow his instructions to fix what may need to be corrected. This could take some time.

At this point, don't buy Windows 8.

Check these instructions from HP on the upgrade to Windows 8 - Note that not all written inside is related to your case, but you can read to get an idea. Read the paths of upgrade of Windows 8 here.

After that depending on your edition of Windows 7 current and according to your preferences, you must do a clean install of Windows 8 or to do an upgrade.

You can download the free 90-day Windows 8 Enterprise Edition on Microsoft TechNet evalutional version - link.

You will need to register using the Microsoft account - it will provide you with a license key and a downloadable ISO image of Windows 8 Enterprise. On your own drive you should burn this ISO (double-click it) to make the installation of Windows 8 disc.

When the installation disc is ready, use to make clean install Windows 8 or update install. Look at all the instuctions I provided. After installation of Windows 8 upgrade, or own, you should try to run Windows Update to ensure that it is up-to-date. If a specific driver is required, you can try to install the Windows 7 version - download it from here. You can restore your personal files from Windows 7 upwards you created earlier.

Experiment. If this works fine, you can later restore to Windows 7 image, then buy a proper version of Windows 8 and perform the upgrade on the spot or other clean install.

If this does not work and you decide to go back to Windows 7, boot from the Windows system recovery disk (created before - look above at step 2) and use the option of image recovery system to reimage the machine and return to the State of Windows 7.

Instructions on this subject can be found here and here

    Good luck and happy testing!

    HI Margaret Winwood.

There is no way to directly copy the photos from Windows Photo Gallery into the micro USB drive.
You will need to manually copy the pictures from the original location of the pictures on the computer, and then manually copy into the microphone connected to the computer player.

Try the following steps to copy photos in the micro drive.

    (a) right click on the photo in Windows Photo Gallery and then click Open file location.
    (b) now right-click of the photo, click on copy, then open the Windows USB drive and paste it.

Also when I go into disk management it is shown that two disks hard each of them Go 99,76 and a CD-ROM that has 1123,13 GB RAW. • Windows 7 USB Flash drive - if I click on Scan and difficulty after you insert the disk, it erases my files

Original title: Windows 7 USB/Flash drive problems

In Windows 7, if I plug in my USB drive, the message box appears titled ' do you want to scan and difficulty of removable disk (e :))?»  If I click on Scan and Fix, he deletes my files (or so I thought).  I hope that the files are still there and I have simply can't see because the drive is FAT32 and not NTFS (it says that most of the drive is NOT of free space, so I assume that the files are still there).  What should I do to see / access files?

Note: A reader, I never selected "Scan and repair"... so I can still see/access files.
On the other drive, however, the first time I plugged it on Windows 7, I clicked Scan and Fix and it erased all the files on this drive (I guess).  This of course got me very angry.

    Hi MichaelGramm,

It seems that the file format has been corrupted. You might consider formatting the drive in NTFS file system and check if this solves the problem. For Windows 7, the best choice for hard disks is NTFS.

Note: Make sure that you back up the data before formatting the disk.

See these articles for more information on formatting disks and flash player:

Create and format a hard disk partition

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition

Formatting disks and drives: frequently asked questions

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/formatting-disks-and-drives-frequently-asked-questions

    Caution:

Formatting erases all existing files on a flash drive. If you format a flash disk that has files on it, the files will be deleted.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool > > I can't clear it

My problem is the same title.

Well, I delete it, but it is still on my Uninstall list
I erased the with Revo Uninstaller, using the more complicated method
(which deletes the unwanted file that are left)
After this, I check Revo Uninstaller, so I can't erase another program
but I found the windows 7 USB/DVD download tool exist (on my list)

  • ThinkPad X 220 clean install problems (Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool)

    Hi all

My apologies if this has been answered before (I searched through the forums of viable solutions).

I tried to format my hard drive on my laptop Lenovo Thinkpad X 220 and perform a new installation of Windows.

Since my laptop doesn't have any CD player, I went to download a Windows 7 .iso file professional hoping to use it as a

    bootable USB tool.

Extract the file .iso on the USB port, went into the BIOS and choose USB, but in vain.

Decided to download the exe tool Windows 7 USB/DVD with the .iso file I always had, but eventually received this message:

After a bit of searching on Google, apparently there is a bypass to this by changing the file .iso of UDT (However the .iso file I had was already ranked UDT).

If anyone has had experiences with this, I'd love to hear your comments or advice.

    Hi Hiro,

I think I downloaded the two files .iso on this site here which has the same links.

Looks like .iso files are corrupt (I've heard some people sometimes had to re-download).

I looked for alternatives and eventually found one that worked.

    Thanks for the help.
