  Check your computer manual or support web site to find the emergency disk eject function and use.  So do not put the drive back.  :-)

  I had a 30-minute PP CS4 project with tons of graphics (rendering models AE movies H.264, film background, psd, etc), 720 p 60 overall images, music and sfx. He looked closely like the last 30 minute DVD, I did, but with more graphic things. The sequence is HDV 720 p 30

  The last export MPEG2-DVD lasted 17 hours (my system is displayed in my profile). It took only two hours. The only difference I can think is that this time that I made the whole preview timeline while the last time I did not. The SOUL export parameters were identical, including by selecting 'quality to make Maximum usage. The results of the last time were good. The result this time is not - it looks like a quality excerpt.

  If you are sure that you do not preview for this project files, so the only other explanation for the lag is that this project was simply not as complex of export like the others (assuming that there were no hardware upgrades between projects).

  In other words, there are only a few things that can affect the export time.  They are:

  1. support of source.

  2 export settings.

  3. the complexity of the project.

  4. material capabilities.

  5. use of the preview files.

  6. software version.

  If 1 and 2 are the same for both projects, and assuming that the 4, 5 and 6, has not changed, then the cause of faster exports must be 3.

• QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-242 won't read DVD or BURN a CD (music CD will PLAY) [AFTER the HD FORMAT and re - install}

  Dell Inspiron5100 WinXP SP3.

  Due to malware, I had to FORMAT my HD and re-install Windows XP OEM disc.  I also reinstalled WIN DVD4 from the OEM disc that came with the laptop.

  Check SYSTEM/DeviceMGR/material indicates a problem with the drive, but: it won't READ a DVD or burn a CD (which she has done before)

  Can't update anything of QSI as they were absorbed by COREL years.  No support available for WINDVD4

  When you try to run WINDVD4 with a DVD in the drive, I get a Popup of WINDVD screen that says:

  CREATE OVERLAY FAILED-Please lower your color depth or screen resolution and try again.  Of course, it worked fine with the reg settings in the past, now Ive tried even lower TWO the RES SCREEN and color at least registered but still does not work

  After following all the steps (including the update of the MP9 for Media Player [MP] 11) below

  I can get the drive to DISPLAY all the data from the DVD (Master & Commander 'movie)

  on-screen MP11.  He plays (automatically) the intro (ONLY) from the DVD music (as when you put it in a DVD player, forward to press PLAY) MP11 shows all of the content and all the files on the DVD and SEEMS ready to play, but pressing on PLAY don't either not anything.

  2 , what exactly happens when you try to burn the CD? You get the error message?

  Did yesterday.  It installed/ran "MR. Microsoft Fixit' with the result:

  "Question: media in the CD-RW/DVD drive is not readable" CLICKED top DIFFICULTY... and after computer "worked" on this subject awhile, he says STATUS: fixed.  St ill did not.   MP9 introduced the format of the DVD player but don't seem to read anything other then showing a list:

  So far it's PROGRESS.  We are at a point where it SEEMS at least that we are ready to PLAY and MP can SEE all the info on the DVD.

  I see many people on other sites of the same question: Player does not work after FORMAT operating system and reinstall of WIN (and in my case: WinXP SP3 and WIN DVD4 of OEM disc)

• DVD looks bad!

  I've used yet for years and never had much trouble until recently. Do not know what is happening. I recently upgraded from the Mavericks to Yosemite. I don't know if that's the problem.

  Anyway, the title says pretty much all this. This is the first time I created a DVD with even where the movie is really bad. I compared this DVD to another that I did a few months ago. The older looks good, not as sharp as the counterpart of Blu - ray, but still smooth and pretty good. The last one I did today a new project looks blocky, you can see a compression block. The menus look good, except for the transitions that look as bad.

  The counterpart of Blu - ray seems good. Both Blu - ray and DVD used the same ProRes 422 HD file and done the transcoding. Then I built the Blu - ray first recorded the project with a different name and changed the settings for Blu - ray on a DVD project. DVD transcode settings are 8 Mbps maximum.

  I've never had such a difficult time, a project with yet. I have another post started a week or two there is a little further down in the list with another problem, that I had with Blu - ray menus play but not the movie. That's why I'm now using ProRes file and still letting the encoding.

  I never had good results with this workflow.

  IMO: The best route is to export from first to mpeg2-dvd.

  Load these two files (audio and video) in still, do menu and burn.

  It goes the same for bluray: first export (BD H.264) and load them upward in a menu of bd.

  What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

  The answer to your question "Pre12 can I select a default font for menus dvd.

  as I see that's no (any version).

  These are fonts, fonts siize and font color in the PSD file of the theme that is being back from the movie first elements Menu customization area. Either:

  a. do you the menu customization possibilities they present

  or

  b. If you want to than this menu always present with all by using the desired font, and then change PSD file of the theme on the hard drive (with Photoshop CS or higher).

  It is my understanding that Premiere Elements uses the fonts are fonts of Windows. Even if you could selectively delete all fonts in a given menu, I think that the end result would be a menu that didn't work rather than one that is lacking in your policy of survival because there was no other to select.

  Yet once, the police of a particular topic is predetermined by the police which was designed in the .psd for the menu file.

  If you want information on how to change the fonts of your theme at the .psd level, let me know the involved menu and details the police change., point by point, buttons, titles...

• CD/DVD player suddenly stopped working and undetected on M30X

  I have a Toshiba M30X laptop. My CD/DVD drive has suddenly stopped working. When I push the eject button nothing happens. No lights on the front of the disc door. When I look in my computer the drive still shows up! I have nothing extraordinary, before this problem occurred, it appeared after that I started the mobile upwards as usual this morning. I would appreciate any advice that anyone can be able to provide.

  What is the BIOS? BIOS recognize the drive?
  If this isn't the case, so it could be a hardware problem.
  If your laptop is under warranty then contact the service partner for a replacement

• DVD/CD rom drive reads CDs but does not read the DVD.

  My Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop has a DVD/CD rom drive.  It loads all the CD I want and them automatically opens on the D drive.  When I put in a DVD movie it will not play.  I open my computer, and then look at the D drive, and it does not even recognize that there is a DVD inside but it shows a screen of a CD that I put in there.  This tells me that it works and it has a green light on the side which shows.  Also, when I insert the DVD it makes sounds as it tries to recognize, but then it stops and does not appear.  Can anyone help?  I really appreciate it.  I'm not very savvy computer.  I know that some in this topic because I am a teacher and try to catch up with things, but I'm certainly no computer technology.  Thank you very much!  Let me know if I need to give more info.  I think the reader is Sony CRX835EK but I'm not 100% sure on this one here.

  If your Player reads cd but not dvd which indicates that the material works very well. You need to change the registry inorder to solve this problem.

  1) click on the start menu
  2) click on 'run '.
  (3) type "regedit" and click ok
  4) go to the key of the string "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
  (5) delete "upper filters" and "lower in the right window.
  (6) right click on my computer in the start menu.
  7) click on properties
  8) go to the Hardware tab
  9) click on Device Manager
  (10) expand the dvd/cdrom drives
  (11) made a right click the dvd rom and click on uninstall
  (12) restart the computer

  After the reboot, windows should automatically install a ROM clean disc and read DVDs very well if you have the correctDVDdecoders

• DVD Rom won't recognize there is a disc in the drive

  My uncle gave me his old computer for Christmas. Before it was given to me it was sent for a tech restore the computer to factory setting. I think that they wrote zeros to the hard drive and started it completely.

  I used a few weeks after I had put the computer because I had installed something that did not work, System Restore. I had not won it first, but always ended up doing a system retore to when the computer is first restarted.

  Now my DVD Rom will not notice when a disc is in.  Him sometimes turns on, but the computer does not appear there in a disk. I looked in my computer and the CD drive is listed as empty.  Even when I try to play a DVD. The drive appears in the list player however.

  Any idea what I could have done wrong or how to fix this problem?

    I tried to use the feature 'Fix It' MS provides for troubleshooting of problems so that the feature troubleshooting already on the computer... niether has worked or solved my problem! I looked at some of the suggestions that have been given in the forum, but they seemed only suggest you do what was mentioned in the emergency program on my computer that did not work. I tried uninstalling the file through my CD/DVD Device Manager and have then reinstall automatically when I rebooted the computer... and it gave no results either.

  1. do you have an error when retrieving the system?
  2. that you get an error when trying to burn or copy anything?

  It seems that the typing exercises are defective, to solve this problem we recommend that you reinstall the program.

  Step 1: Check if the CD/DVD device is enabled in the BIOS (Basic input/output system)
  a. start your computer and press DELETE continuously on the screen of the BIOS see.
  b. make sure that CD/DVD device is enabled.
  c. make the appropriate changes, and then restart the computer.

  NOTE: BIOS change incorrect settings will not allow your computer to run properly. If you are not comfortable changing the settings, then contact the manufacturer of the help system.

  Step 2: If the problem persists, manually add the CD/DVD device and check the result. To do this, try the following steps:
  a. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
  b. in the list of objects, expand CD/DVD players, right click on the sub element and click on uninstall.
  c. click on my computer in the list and click Action, click Add new hardware.
  d. follow the instructions in the wizard to add the CD/DVD device and restart the computer.

  I have a Vista Home Premium computer laptop (Toshiba Satellite) which shows strange lines and brands for all of the words on the desktop and menus. I guess it could be a different language, although it looks more like mutilated. I managed to check the regional/language settings (was not easy) and English is selected. Anyone know what is happening and how to fix this without reloading the operating system?

  What has changed in your environment? Did you install a new program or install an update from Windows?

  Have you tried running Safe Mode to see if it'll happen here?

  If you know when the problem started, you can check and see if you have the system restore back to an earlier point in time. Note: System Restore does not save or delete your personal documents. This means that a document created and saved today is not deleted if you use the system restore. Only some system files and settings are changed when you perform a system restore.

  ·         How do you encrypt the drive?

  You can burn files to a DVD-R more than once (each operation is called in a session), but you can't delete files from the disc. Each engraving is permanent.

  So unfortunately, there is not a way to clean up the data. You may need to use a new disc.
