• PSUS4 and Epson 1400

  I have 3 computers I'm trying to connect to an Epson 1400 on a PSUS4 wired print spooler, 2 XP Pro, Vista 1.  One of the XP machines installed with no problem, no error.  The other 2 return the error Disaable Epson Spooler Manager.  I just attributed a new TCP/IP port for the printer using the PSUS4 IP address on the Vista machine, and it works.  On the other machine (connected WiFi - a laptop) XP I can't.

  Epson website has no mention of a spooler support Manager.  What is the solution?

  Using the standard TCP/IP procedure (Windows XP/2000)

  -Make sure that your printer already has its drivers installed on the PC before installing this print server.

  -Also make sure that your printer can print when connected directly to your computer.

  -Click on Start go to printers and faxes.

  -Right click your printer and select Properties.

  -Click on the Ports tab on the top.

  -Click Add a Port. Select create a new port: select the Type of port: Standard TCP/IP Port, click

  Next.

  -This will bring the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard, click Next

  -In the field of the printer name or IP address: enter the IP address of the print server, and then click Next. (You can get the IP address of your print server by pressing the reset button of your device for 3 seconds, then it will print on its status).

  -Select custom, click settings.

  -Under the select LPR Protocol and for the name of the queue: type L1.  Click Ok, and then click Next and finish.

  Hello jimkp, The Epson web site shows the drivers for your printer is version 6.5cAs.

  Here is the link where these drivers. Have you tried this version, but I saw no one else.

  There are also other software that you can find for your Epson printer at the link above.

  If you face the issue with the entire application, put the computer to boot once and try to uninstall it.
