  • Epson Scan software crashing now

2 days ago, that the Epson Scan application started crashing immediately on opening.  I spent literally 3 hours online with Epson.  In the process I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Epson folder, cleaned and reloaded the files library and preferably, but still get the same result.  I tried the setting up of a new user on the computer and first on this new user account that I could open the software but the second time I tried it immediately crashed on the opening.  I guess that I have a conflict with another application or something in the OS, but I'm at a loss at this point.  It is a request that my wife uses frequently so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Greetings sawatchboy,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see from your post that your Epson scanning application started crashing immediately during opening. You have talked with Epson and tested this question in a new user account, and you are still having a problem. I can certainly understand how it is important that you are able to use your scanner software. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

You mentioned a potential conflict with another application. I would recommend from your computer in safe mode and then do a test to see if you get the same result with the Epson application crashing. Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening.

Use OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode, more precisely, this section:

Start in safe mode can help you diagnose problems you're having with your Mac.

Important: To print these instructions, click the Share button in the Help window, and then choose print.

    1. Choose the Apple menu > shut down.

    2. After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

    3. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.

You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

    4. Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

To exit safe mode, restart your Mac, but no press during the startup.

If you find that you are not having a problem with safe mode, take a look at the section 'If a problem does not occur in safe mode"in the article below.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    Best regards.

    Hey there, MAHIPALSINGH143

Welcome to the Microsoft community forums.

So that the community help to install your printer, we will need more information. Please answer these questions:

    1. Windows what operating system are you running (Windows 10, 8.1, 7)?
    2. The troubleshooting steps have so you far?
    3. Did you upgrade to a new operating system?
      1. If Yes, what operating system you were on before?

When you look at the error message, it doesn't look like you need to update your drivers. You will need to go on the official website of manufacturers, with your EPSON.

Here is the site for the EPSON drivers: http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/support

When I entered your model of "Epson Scan (L210)" number, it does not recognize the product. Would you be able to check and make sure that you have provided the correct model number? Your model is a new printer?

  • Epson scan has stopped working.

I recently bought an ASUS Essentio CG5290 computer that uses a 64-bit system.  A few weeks later, I bought an Epson Workforce 600 multiprinter.  I know for sure the Epson multiprinter works perfectly well because I used it on my old Dell Dimension 4600 computer that uses Windows XP (I suspect the system uses a 32-bit).  When it is connected to my ASUS computer which uses Windows Vista, everything works fine until I try to use the scanner.  When I click on the EpsonScan icon I immediately get a Message from Microsoft Windows saying "Epson Scan has stopped working".  A few seconds later, it gives me another message saying: "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "I never got a 'solution '.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer software to download Windows Vista Service Pack 2.  There are available for the ASUS BIOS, manufacturer downloads, but I have to buy the program WinZip to download.  I'm nervous about messing with the BIOS.  I think that my problem scanner printer has something to do with the ASUS having a 64 bit OS against compliant system to the requirements of the twain_32 printer.  I qualify for the free upgrade to Windows 7 when it is released to the public in October ' 09.  This will solve the problem?  My ASUS has every update of Microsoft Windows to date.  I'm not very computer so any advice is greatly appreciated!

Did you get the drivers Vista 64 of Epsom first and install according to the requirements of the Epsom, which is usually to install software / drivers prior to the connection of the printer

PS You need not buy winzip in order to upgrade the bios, but then, aren't an update of bios support

  • Driver EPSON Scan Setup installs - "error produced during installation to re start the computer, and then try again.

New Epson Scanner GT - S50 Epson scan, set up driver will not install. keeps giving me "is an error occurred when installing re start the computer, and then try again" works fine on another pc with windows 7, but not from Dell. Tried to download from the website and cd. all other software is loading fine. Epson technical support cannot fix. Help!

I finally had my Epson GT - S50 working. I have a contract with support iYogi. They tech were recommended by Dell.  It took them more than 12 hours to solve this problem. They had to do a full factory reset. I have had all my drives. The alleged problem with mine was HP. I have a hp all-in-one. It damaged my windows files. On re install, I had to install Epson scan first, this hp. I would not buy an epson again. The product works well now but still double flow a lot and is very picky. When it works well, it really accelerates my work verse scan with the Hp all-in-one. I'm really happy that I have a scanner, but wouldn't recommend an Epson.  I highly recommend I have Yogi tech support. They are worth every penny.

  • Don't start the EPSON Scan in Windows 7 application

    Hi all

When I try to run the Epson Scan application, nothing happens.  Let me explain further.

I have a printer all-in-one Epson Artisan 837 that never gave me any problems on my old Dell under XP SP2 desktop computer.  I recently bought a new Dell Windows 7 Professional XPS8700.  First, I used the printer installation CD and follow the instructions to install Epson.  After installation, the printer works fine, but when I try to start Epson Scan, nothing seems to happen.  I connect the all-in-one to the PC via USB.  Then, I uninstalled all Epson Utilities and tried to reinstall using the package of utility combo for Windows 7 64 bit download on Epson site.  The result is the same; nothing happens when I try to start Epson Scan.

In Device Manager, the printer appears under imaging as expected devices.

An image can be obtained using Microsoft Paint (opening "from scanner or camera").

    Printer works fine.

The all-in-one has also four slots for memory cards, which work very well as well.

Another Epson utility, called the Epson Event Manager also does not work.  At the launch, I get an error that States, "cannot find the scanner driver. Install the driver before using the event handler".

I went through the Epson technical support for several days and the result is always the same.  Today, they said that the problem is not related to their products and that there is something in the operating system that prevents the application to open.

My only thought is that Windows can use its default driver, not the Epson driver.  However, if I try to update the driver through the Device Manager, I always get a message that the more exact driver is already installed.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to determine what is the problem and why Epson Scan does not work?

    Disable the antivirus software:

  • How to set EPSON Scan 3.07 to work in Adobe Photoshop CS6 Import window in Mac OS 10.9.4 Mavericks

I cannot scan with my EPSON Perfection 2480 PHOTO scanner images, as it did when I used Photoshop CS2 Photoshop CS6. I downloaded the latest driver (EPSON Scan A 3.07), and placed his plugin directly in the folder Plug - ins Photoshop CS6, it is still not appearing in the import / import Images from the Device menu option. Is there a way to make this work? Certainly, I am able to use EPSON Scan out of Photoshop, but I would rather simply scan while in Photoshop CS6. (I use a Mac using OS X version 10.9.4 Mavericks).

No doubt read this article: Get your scanner to work with Photoshop CS6 | Macworld

More than likely your Twain driver is 32-bit and Photoshop CS6 is pure 64-bit. Then you should look at the ideas in this article.

  • Epson Scan not available in PS CS4

Unlike my previous versions of PS, I installed everything I should including the Epson Scan software / interface.

I have no possibility of the Epson Scan within the PS, including the usual cue file > import tab... nothing there.

I can go to the system preferences. "Print/Scan" and the disk for example.  It is my only scanning App and is defined as the preferred printer and scanner.

Are there known problems or limitations with Epson Scan software and PS CS4?  No miracle solution?

    Thank you!

It is not a good idea to use the epson ps Twain plug that I don't think there's one that actually you would actually have to install the acquisition of twins made the Goodies folder on the installation disc.

I was determined that we'd be better off for reasons of stability analysis in the stand-alone version of the Epson Scanner Drivers.

  • Where can I get a driver for Epson scanning for my iMac os 10.11.3

I have an iMac with the current version of El Capitan 10.11.3. I bought an Epson Stylus pro printer (WF-5690). I downloaded and installed the driver scanner of Epson Web site and the error message indicates that the computer does not Scan of WSD. How can I get on my iMac. I couldn't find Capture of Image or the other. The printer and the computer are on the same connection network wi - fi. What can I do to get the scan function to work with my Mac? I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

    Sincerely,

    leonorafromarcadia

WSD is not available for OS X. WSD stands for 'Windows Vista Web Services on devices (WSD)'

Image capture is in your Applications folder. I have an Epson WF-3620 and it works perfectly with the Image Capture and El Capitan 10.11.4.

  • Epson perfection v500 scanner scan from buttons

It runs from the office, but not the buttons.  It worked fine on windows xp will not be Windows 8

I downloaded and installed the update of windows 8, restarted the computer and still does not work

It's always something you face with EPSON.  Their product, they support (or not) under any given operating system.

You have downloaded and installed this?

Windows 8-32/64-bit driver of the scanner and EPSON Scan Utility v3.7.7.3

If you did, you should contact Epson:
    http://www.Epson.com/cgi-bin/store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&category=products&infoType=contact&OID=88368&prodoid=63070478

I note that the driver and the software was published 07/22/10 - my bet is that they could tell you "features do not work under Windows 8"and they can do SOUND like it's the fault of operating systems rather than change of drivers and software for working in the operating system.»

  • Scanner Epson V700 with OS 10.11.3 on iMac

Old problem with scanner Epson V700 is back after a few months to be confident that she was working.

Image capture can't find the scanner. Downloaded Epson drivers again without a fix. So what happened again to the scanner?

This original problem occurred a few months ago, when Apple set to upgrade to El Capitan and weeks later made the corrections with a new version of OS 10, who brought the peace around the world for many users of the printer/scanner. Is this a problem Epson or Apple?

    You have downloaded and installed

Epson Scan Patch for OSX 10.11 (v1.0)

which is necessary if you are using a proprietary Epson software.

There is also a new ICA driver

    ICA Driver (v5.8.6)

If Epson scan does not see the scanner, he dies.

You can install the drivers by going to the Device Manager and using
the method of updated drivers. Choose to update the drivers, and then tap
the CD or the folder where you have the drivers located.

This should get your drivers installed. This is however not
ensure that epson scan is able to see your scanner
    and working properly.

The best way to get the software running is to install
the virtual machine as well as XP mode if you have this option.

Download Epson provides on their website shows that the
Epson Scan in the Setup.exe file has been updated in 2008.
They have not changed the software to deal with the issues which
they will continue in Vista and 7.

You can test your scanner using MS Paint that does not work
Use Epson scan. Menu - from a scanner or camera.
If this menu item is not dimmed, paint sees the
scanner or camera installed. It can acquire images of
the scanner without the need to use Epson Scan.

Unfortunately, it seems that most programs such as Photoshop.
    try using Epson Scan.

The problem with Epson Scan is the USB connection.
For some reason, the Protocol of USB port is
built-in Epson Scan fails in Windows 7.

If you have a 80x11b wireless network router,
You can configure Epson Scan to use the wireless
    connection to the network.

After I configured my workforce 610 connect
for the wireless network and then configured
Epson Scan to use this connection,
Epson Scan has been able to connect to the Scanner
    and run correctly.

If the wireless network protocol is disabled,
    Epson Scan will stop working.

Keep in mind that this is not a Windows 7 problem,
It's a program third question "Epson Scan.

My guess is that Epson Scan is the search of the
    USB scanner.

    With regard to this forum:

It is the worst program I've ever used.

It is clear that the programmer never used and never

    bothered to test it.
