equation problem

In the equation: , Q is known, how to get the value of f in LabVIEW? Thank you very much ~

If you know how to turn your equation to f =... so you can calculate f using the structure of the node form. See this structure or even an example VI detailed help if you are not familiar with it.

Or is the conversion of your equation the problem?

  • Problem setting equation of time

    Hello everyone. I had a question on how to set up an equation somehow:

    question: how would format a cell to show the passage of time in decimal form after a starting point in time in another cell?

    For example, the cell x is 12:00, 2 February 2016.

    Cell would be "1.25" at 1:15, "3.5" at 3:30, '6' at 18:00, etc.

    Thank you in advance!

    David

    assuming that the start date/time is in cell A1 and the date/time update is in cell B1, and then in cell C1, you can get the difference like this:

    C1 = B1 - A1

    It's shorthand dethrone select cell C1 and type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = B1 - A1

    If you want to put him in decimal hours, use:

    = DUR2HOURS (B1 - A1)

  • problem making a mathematical equation

    Hi, I had a model that has a built-in shopping cart but the basket came not with an option to add a shipping price.  So what I want to do is to edit the script for the total price add a shipping price.  the current script looks like this

    public function get totalPrice (): number {}
    var ruselt:Number = 0;
    var i: Number = _list.length;
    While (i)-{}
    var point: ShopingCartItem = _list [i];
    ruselt += Number (item.data.attributes.price) * item.count;
    }
    Return ruselt;
    }

    what I'd like to do is take the amounts and then add a basic price of say $ 9 and then, for each extra point just multiply the total shipping for example 1.1 or to add a few dollars per item.  When I put + 9 * 1.1 in the above script, it seems to do is add 9 for each item in the basket, when I want only added once for the total of all.  does anyone know how to write so that it only adds 9 once total, as opposed to add to each item in the basket?  I hope this makes sense to someone.  any help is appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Cory

    use:

    public function get totalPrice (): number {}
    var ruselt:Number = 0;
    var i: Number = _list.length;
    While (i)-{}
    var point: ShopingCartItem = _list [i];
    ruselt += 1.1 * Number (item.data.attributes.price) * item.count;
    }
    Return ruselt + 9;
    }

  • HP 50 g: using algebra equation giving a number rather than the integer decimal repatting.

    So I was just playing with the functionality of equation to solve on the HP 50 g and was a simple = _0 4 * x - 12_ problem to slove for X. In addition to pass to the RPN calculator is the default settings. The problem is that this will solve only 2.99999999, and not 3 as I assume it would be.

    It is a limitation of the device or do I not have the calculator set up properly?

    Hello

    The digital Solver is an iterative Solver and it will be always rough.

    For exact solutions, try the symbolic Solver SOLVEVX or SOLVE (white left SHIFT S.SLV, SOLVEVX or SOLVE)

    (for symbolic calculations, make sure that X (or whatever variables) are deleted / do not exist)

    For more information about these commands and other commands, see section 3 of the advanced reference Guide:

  • 50g - unable to resolve a simple system of equations

    It's very easy to do on my Casio FX115-ES, but I can't understand how do on the 50 g for the life of me. I am trying to solve a simple system of equations, illustrated below, for a static engineering courses.

    (F1) sin (30) + (F2) sin (30) - 6 * cos (20) = 0

    (F2) cos (30) - (F1) cos (30) - 6 * sin (20) = 0

    I know it's a simple problem and I can do it by hand, but we'll soon be solve systems with 3 + unknowns. I love the RPN, so I need to be able to quickly resolve these systems on the 50g. I have read the books and searched the Internet for 30 minutes and I swear that nothing I do works. I can't add the words sin() and cos() in a matrix. Solve the paintings, num, s address, m solve... None of this works! I know it's user error, but I have no idea where to start.

    Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Bill

    The unusual notation is shake me up.  Are variables F1 and F2?  If so, we will replace by X and Y and rewrite your system in the standard format:

    Sin (30) * X + sin (30) * Y = 6 * cos (20)

    -cos (30) * X + cos (30) * Y = 6 * sin (20)

    There are many ways to solve this system on the 50g.  How I find simpler (less keystrokes) is by dividing the constant vector by the matrix of coefficients.  There are several ways to do it too, but it's my favorite.

    First of all, make sure your 50g is in approximate mode: while holding down the button to the right, press repeatedly until you see the "~" annunciator instead of "is", then release the button to the right.

    It goes without saying, you must also be in degree mode, so if the first anunciator said RAD, run DEG to change to DEG.

    Now, press the MTRW (['] left shift) to start the MatrixWriter application.

    First enter the vector of constants:

    20 COS 6 * ENTER

    20 SIN 6 * ENTER ENTER - > see [5.638... point 2.052...] on the stack.

    Now enter the matrix of coefficients:

    ENTER 30 FISHING

    ENTER 30 FISHING

    down-cursor left, cursor left, cursor

    ENTER 30 COS [+/-]

    30 COS SIMULTANEOUSLY on KEYS-> see the matrix of coefficients in the stack.

    Divide then: /--> see [4.45... 6.82...], which is [X, Y], the answer.

    If you want exact solutions (and not just the decimal approximation), do all the foregoing in exact mode (sign '=').   Don't forget to put each algebraic expression in single quotes marks.  You can use the MatrixWriter, or you can just type it directly into the battery like this:

    ['6 * COS (20)' '6 * SIN (20)'] Come in

    [["SIN (30)" "SIN (30)', ' - COS (30)" "COS (30)"]]

    /-> of simplified solutions

    A way to simplify these is:

    OBJ→ DROP EVAL (see Y on the stack)

    SWAP EVAL (see X on the stack)

    Exact solutions are 6 * cos (20) ± 2⎷3 * sin (20).

    There are many other methods to solve systems on the 50 g, each with its own entrance of syntax.  Don't forget to single quote each algebraic expression whenever you are in RPN mode.

    Hope that helps!

  • First HP, equations Solver

    Hello

    I'm having some difficulties with my first HP Calculator. I received early in the week. I use it with my TI - 89 Titanium to see how to compare the different functions. The problem lies in when I tried to use the Solver of equations to solve for a variable uknown. I know that this must back me two responses, one around of 383 and the other around 1410, both of my 89 coming back from these responses, and the solution for my problem is in the back of my book and it lists both here. Does anyone know how to solve this? I think that such a "beast" than the first must be able to do something so simple.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Please try to use nSolve(YourEquation,a=1..nn), while being in CAS mode. (nSolve since looking digital answers)

    Using a = 1.2000 gives a list of {387.092637878, 1410.5095324}. If you think several roots, it's pretty cool to use a range as a guess.

    Make sure that you use lowercase 'a' in the equation in order to avoid the "Bad Argument value", also make sure that the CASE is set to degrees.

    You can also connect to hpmuseum.org where the calculator is at length.

    Hope this helps

  • Questions write equations to existing variables in Hp 50 g

    Hello

    I'm studying for the exams in June and I'm writing long equations in my HP (algebraic, std, degrees, rectangular), but whenever I try to write a new one, if there is a variable with the same name, it displays its value, not the name I typed. I know this may sound confusing, but here's an example:

    • I do an exercise and I'm saving the following equation: A = B + C (for example).
    • I use it and I begin a new fiscal year.
    • In this exercise, I save the equation: B = C * E * R/T, but when I try to save in a variable, it changes the letters B and C for their values. So if I want to solve an equation with different values of B & C I can not because they do not appear on the equation 'solved '.

    I know I can clear all variables before writing a new equation, but it's a pain in the ass, is there a good way to do it?

    Thank you.

    You not need to use this method to purge.

    your first equation must be entered this way: (use equation writer or the command line)

    "" A = B + C ".

    STO > "EQ1".

    (for this example, when "the equation" was performed for the equation A = B + C, a 8 value was entered for 'B' and a 9 value was entered for 'C')

    NOW THE IMPORTANT STEP...  (this step is not necessary in RPN mode... In RPN mode, simply enter the equation using EQW or line commmand is also normally done)

    When you enter the second equation, this can not be easily done using the equation editor.

    To easily fix the problem to get into the second equation and keeping variables unadulterated into the equation, you must enter the equations on the command line.

    Start with a single quote... This indicates the 50G an equation will be entered

    When you enter the variables that were previously used... put single quotes around these variables...

    for example:

    "« B » = « C » * E * R/T"

    Press ENTER

    your screen should look like this:

    now

    STO > "EQ".

    Enter "The equation" and the variables used before are shown with their values pre-filled... but all the variable can be changed...

    NOTE NOTE: If you want to change the equations in this window, use the right CHOOS button, select another equation in this example, it is called EQ1... (The CHOOS softkey is available only when the equation is highlighted as shown in the screen above)

    Press CHOOS, and see the following:

    Select EQ1 and press F6 (OK)

    now, the screen changes:

  • First HP: Best method to solve equations very slightly advanced...

    I always seem to struggle with trying to find a correct and reliable way to do different things with this calculator.  I've stuck with him since they were released at the beginning and I intend to continue to wear for everyday use when I finished my degree.  The problem I encounter is that there are two fairly detailed instructions published or find methods that I do not work for slightly more advanced problems than those in the manuals, etc. of the user.

    Then, I manipulated an equation until the following and I need to solve for alpha without random speculation and 40 different attempts, which is the best method to achieve this?  I tried to plug in this whole equation in the 'Solve' application in different formats, but the number it solves for is always about 0.5 to low or high, in this case I probably have a bad setting somewhere.  I also tried to solve, csolve and orders fsolve in AR but I always get some [[]] as a result.  I guess it's either a mistake or is it which indicates that there are several answers, but where do I go from here?  I was not able to find that [[]] actually means.

    Here's my equation: (sin(2*a)/(2*pi))-(a/pi)+0.75=0, where a = letter Greek alpha.)  The correct answer is 1,986 rad = 113.8 degrees.

    Please help, thanks!

    Sorry Tim, after little sleep and fees starting this morning, I realized that 1) I did not use the appropriate syntax to solve/csolve/fsolve, i.e.: I was not finishing the statement of education and that's why I was getting the [[]].  (2) I realized that when I received a response that was in degrees because I had not turned on my way to radians.  I am all set now and can find the right answer through a number of ways.  Thanks for the reply and my apologies for taking your time.

  • First: problems

    Hi all!

    I got my new premium after Christmas 2015 and I have trouble with him...

    First of all, there is no STO > on the home screen, all the boxes are black.

    I can't type in the equations for the trace. It says number of bad argument, even when I take the manual examples!

    I tried to push the reset button, but the problem is still there! Any suggestion on what to do?

    Looks like you're in entry RPN mode.

    Could you try pressing:

    Then in the original settings, select "Manual" in the selector to "enter".

  • Fonts of screwed up after installing Mathtype equation

    I just got a new iMac and like the screen 4K a lot. I work with many people on a topic which has a lot of equations by using Microsoft word. I use Microsoft Office 365 release 2016. At the beginning, I can see good equations (some fonts, not horrible like my old iMac mess). Then I found that there is no Equation Editor installed with Word. I then download a trial 30-day Mathtype. After installation, all equations are so messy that I barely see anything. I uninstalled Mathtype, but can not solve the problem. I sent a request to Mathtype a few days ago, but they did not answer me. Does anyone have the same experience? Can someone give an opinion? My iOS is El Capitan 10.11.3.  Thank you very much!

    MathType probably installed contradictory policies that are still on the system. Open font book. In the menu, run the command restore fonts Standard. All third-party fonts will be moved into the folder/System/Library/Fonts/and the root/Library/Fonts/folder. A new folder named fonts (deleted) will be created next to each of the files of fonts noted. All third party fonts that may have been in the two folders of fonts will be there.

    As this command does not affect the fonts folder in your user account, the problem will still exist if there are installed by Mathtype fonts. Click anywhere on the desktop so Finder is the name of the app next to the Apple logo in the upper left corner. Press command + shift + H to open your user account folder. If you do not see the library of your account folder, press command-j. turn on the check box to display the library folder. Close this box. Now in your user account, go into/Library/Fonts /. Create a new folder on your desktop and move all fonts in the fonts folder to the new empty folder.

    After that these steps, the only active fonts on the system will be installed by OS X. Restart the Mac in Mode safe be restarted and hold down the SHIFT key. When he arrives on the desk (it will ask you to connect), restart again normally. Test.

  • HP 40GS systems of linear equation with parameters

    Hello

    I'm in the learning curve of the HP 40GS - a very interesting tool.

    Is it possible to solve systems of equations with parameters, for example:

    A * X + Y = 2 * 12

    5 * X - 3 * A * Y = 5

    HP 50 g, this isn't a big deal, but with HP 40GS I don't have an idea so far.

    If this is not possible, it will be possible if I have a third equation (so 3 equations in 3 unknowns)?

    Thank you very much in advance,

    Joachim

    P.S.: So far, I feel very comfortable with the HP 40GS and menus!

    Hello

    now, I found a way to calculate the systems of equations with symbolic coefficients:

    See the document: http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00829737.pdf to page 346ff

    With the command 'linsolve', it is possible to calculate with more unknown than equations.

  • Problem solver!

    Hi guys,.

    I'm having a problem with my first anoing, I grab than a formula to the Solver and this formula cause a bug in the first.

    It gives me the bad answear for the "T" variable, the result is always a number about a value that I have used a previous equation.

    The formula is: X = A * COS (W * T) -> periodic motion

    I want to solve the variable T, but when a go at T, the spectacle of the calculator a wrong value, of course, I know the correct answear.

    The values I used:

    X: 0.075-> particle position

    R: 0.15-> amplittude

    W: 628.32

    Angle mode: Radians

    The interesting thing is, it always come with a specific value for em A X, if I use other values, it did not happen.

    Sometimes the first gets even a bug and I need to reset the back button.

    Software version:

    2013-11-25 (5447)

    CASE version: 1.1.0 - 27

    Serial number xxxxxxxxxx

    Can someone help me?

    P.S. I deleted your post for secutiry serial number. That is the information you probably don't want available to the public. -HP moderator of the Forum

    Put in a comme.0002 for your T estimate, then press SOLVE. There are hundreds of solutions just in the range 0 < X < 1 due to fast oscillations in your function. Without providing an initial starting value, there is no way for the calculator to know that the roots will locate it.

    Remember that you can press the button of the FIELD and see the sides left and right of the equation plotted against them. You will see that your X line intersects your cos field in many, many places.

  • My document word with equations is broken

    I am currently using Microsoft Word 2011 for mac. I am running OSX Mavericks release 10.9.5.

    The problem is often trying to develop a paper of mathematics all pictures and equations jumping around in the document, without even clicking on them. I can have a perfect layout, keep writing on the next page and when I scroll up once again, some of the text has disappeared, the images are a mess and equations moved. It may be important to mention that I use the function "automatic ball/number/letter" (or whatever it is called in English). It looks like this:

    (Support more with the language - I'm Danish)

    As you can see here, the document appears as it should and most importantly: equations are in the middle where they are supposed to be.

    Look now what happens if I move my mouse over the text and scrolling down and back up again once:

    As you can see, the equations are passed:

    And if I try to edit the document, what happens:

    Some of the text is now completely gone!

    This is a really huge problem for me because I often write math assignments and to spend hours to everything put in place when I'm done with the result looking terrible.
