Equium A100-549: blue screen error during installation of the recovery CD

Hey,.

I recently bought a Toshiba laptop computer, everything worked perfectly until my laptop was attacked. I've got rid of the virus and went to reformat due to a lot of problems that occur. The main one being a mistake has cursed and 'Blah blah' program must be closed. As I continued to get loads of errors.

http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm
The types.

Now then reformatting disk Toshiba said just put the disk in the drive and turn off. I did very well. The said toshiba drive press F12 on startup and then click on run the CD. The CD starts and gets half way thro reformatting.

Suddenly, I get a blue error screen. I thought oh well ill reboot and continue. This is where the problem started. Because I was half way thro removal/reinstallation of windows I was missing some files. I'll reinstall or try to use the Toshiba CD, I get a blue error screen.

0 X 00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(Click to consult the Online Win XP Resource Kit article, or see the Windows 2000 Professional, p. 1548 Resource Kit).
The requested data were not in memory. An address of invalid system memory was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM, RAM video cache memory) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this stop message, as may other hardware issues (for example, incorrect SCSI termination or imperfect PCI card).

Any ideas what I can do? I don't want to return the Toshiba laptop to fix However im thinking this is the only way out.

Please if repplying try to keep technical language to a minnium. Thank you, Dan.

Hello

It s very strange because the installation since the Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly and without any blue screen message.
Usually, if the BSOD appears if there is a serious software problem or something wrong with the hardware.
I don t think that the software on the CD of restoration could be corrupted.

Have you tried to install the OS from the original CD of Microsoft Windows? It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen also.

However, I think that your laptop is new and the warranty is valid. In my opinion, you should ask the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner to help him because guys could start the diagnostic test and can find the fault.

My laptop is a Satellite C650D - 12 c. I tried to update the BIOS, but I can't do it in safe mode. What should I do next?

Saved on the HARD drive recovery image is tested so everything should be OK with recovery image installation.
What you can try is to use the Microsoft installation disc to see if the same thing will happen again.

If Yes, I'm afraid, you need professional help with this Portable Mr. probably guaranteed so the service guy should check this.

    You created the recovery DVDs?
BTW: I think that the update of the BIOS is not solution. Recovery facility must operate with this original version of BIOS.

  • Equium A100-549 - reading disc error occurred press ctrl + alt + delete to restart

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Equium a100-549, about 3 years, Windows XP Home Edition.
Everything worked very well so far. When starting my computer, I received the message:

A disk read error occurred press ctrl + alt + delete
I don't want to lose my data

Please please I need some advice what to do

    Kind regards
    AGM

    > I don't want to lose my data

Well. Everyone knows that a HARD disk problem can happen and all of a sudden you may lose all the data stored on the HARD drive.
That is why it s always recommended to backup the data on additional HDD, DVD, etc.

I'm not sure if this will help but try this:
Try to boot from the disk Win XP (NOT the Toshiba Recovery disk) and press r. means repair and should start the repair console.
The similar DOS window should open and there, you can use a command:
    CHKDSK drive/p/r

The chkdsk command checks the specified drive and repairs or recovers the drive if the drive requires it.

More details can be found here:

If that does not help, then you need to reinstall new OS.

This error occurs during the last stage of the installation. I downloaded the latest software from the HP website as well as the supposed "XP Fix", I used the HP service, I used the brush cleaning HP to completely erase the old files and re-installed.  I've exhausted ALL the options on the Web site to correct this. Nothing works. I spent over 8 hours to solve this problem.  My computer guy said it of because the software has been updated to run Win 7 and is not able to access the XP of the software part to make it work.

I see other similar messages but can't find an explanation or difficulty.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

The only thing to do would be to format and reinstall the OS.  It's a little extreme, but it should work.  I'm sorry, but that's the last thing I know to try.  If you try this, make sure that you back up all your data.  Good luck.

Enter the BIOS by typing /holding F10 key to power on. Check if the hard disk controller is set to AHCI or IDE mode. AHCI mode should work, but if it's the current setting, change IDE. If it is set for RAID on AHCI change.

According to landfills, the problem is you video display NVIDIA driver.

Video drivers are the first thing to look at when you see a BSOD while playing games or other video intensive operations.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, I can't see exactly what you have now or tell you exactly what you need to do.

I would like to start here:

Browse the NVIDIA site and let scan them online take a look at your video system and see what he suggests for drivers and consider their analysis if they offer a new driver.

It is recommended to run the scan NVIDIA with Internet Explorer.

Here is the address of the NVIDIA page:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/Prescan.aspx?lang=en-us

Read the instructions, and then click the GRAPHICS DRIVERS button to start the scan.

If following their indications do not straighten things, then follow these steps:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

If you have a desire, you can learn to interpret the crash dump files yourself.  It is not to intimidate with some of the tools out there on the wide Wide World of the Web.

There are some third-party tools that are good to use for a first look, so do not waste time with all the tools of Windows if you are not interested by it.

Here's how to watch terrils you have and you can see the cause of the accidents is the NVIDIA driver and your BSOD has this 'advice' on the BSOD page:

    STOP: 0X1000008E (0XC0000005, 0XBD0B2494, 0XB2F14860, 0X00000000)

    Nv4_disp.dll - address 0xbd0b2494 base at 0xbd012000 DateStamp 0x4d9e7d6e

The nv4_disp.dll is your video driver.

To see if for yourself, follow these steps:

    Download BlueScreenView here:
Unzip it and run it (BSV installs nothing) and let him complete the digitization of all your crash dump files.
If you double-click on depressed, you will get information on it (including the field caused by the driver) and you should be able to spot the problem right away - especially if you see a model in landfills where Caused by field pilot is the same (beginning with this driver).
BlueScreenView tries to find the right driver or module that caused the blue screen by looking inside the stack of the accident. However, be aware that the driver detection mechanism is not 100% reliable, and you should also look in the lower pane, that display all drivers/modules found in the stack.

Here's an example of your BSOD where Caused by field is the NVIDIA driver (the driver is an older version):

I just installed PVAT v 1.2.40. However during the installation I get an error - Setup PVAT Error (Ox8145030B). I have also tried to re - upload the files, and then repeat the installation with the same result. All ideas

    Hi Rpayne32,

    What laptop you have exactly?
Where did you downloaded package of added value?
The operating system that is pre-installed in Toshiba or your own installation of Windows that you are using?
Try you added value package update or new installation?

In my opinion, you should check your antivirus or firewall. I think that something is blocking the installation.

  • Blue screen error during hibernation

Hey all.  I've looked through the forums and cannot find a solution to what I saw.  I have a home network that consists of my main office directly connected to my internet cable and two laptop computers HP connected by wifi.  My House has some dead spots, so I also have a wifi extender to cover the areas.  This configuration worked wonderfully for a few years.  A few days ago, I had my modem/router set to level of my ISP (Rogers cable - I live in the Canada).  Since this new modem/router has been installed two laptops connected via wifi constantly crushing when they go in the hibernation.  To clarify, two laptops put in standby mode after 15 minutes, then hibernate after 30 minutes.  During the previous day, everything works normally, however, when the minute 30 mark hits they both make this little thing where they light up for about 20 seconds to prepare mode put into hibernation, and then they will switch off.  Since the new modem/router has been installed when they light for 20 seconds to prepare for hibernation they freeze... two of them.  They remain in a frozen for about 10 minutes, then they are back the Blue error screen.  After reboot, I get the standard "your computer shut down unexpectedly" check for solutions box.  The solution calls for not knowing what the problem is exactly, but it has something to do with wireless networks.  Don't know what it could be that the ONLY thing that has changed in my house is the new and improved modem/router I got.  After looking through the forums I've done several options as: checked several times, the sfc/scannow memory, full system virus scans and rootkit scanning, update drivers, etc...  All checked like normal, functional and up-to-date.  At this point, I'm puzzled as to what it could be.  Again this happens BOTH my laptops wireless only when they are preparing to go into hibernation and connected (sleep works very well).  All the solutions and I've done analyses were performed on two laptops without success.  I'm including the error I get:

  • Blue screen error on the Satellite A100 - 920 (PSAA9)

    Hello

I got a blue screen error during use normal and after reboot, Windows suggested updated the BIOS, so I've updated with the latest version (5.10). The next day, I got another blue screen and reboot, Windows has suggested that I update my display drivers, I did (to Ver. 8.241)... I have an ATI Radeon X 1400 GPUS. After that, the computer crashed every time that it loaded windows, with a popup on services.exe telling me the computer shuts off in 60 seconds.

I assumed that this was linked to the display driver, so I replaced the drivers with a version earlier than day (8.241 - 034065C). Once I did, it seemed to work and I could use the computer very well for a bit, even play games like GTA, but I'm starting to take again the blue screens, usually just at the opening of the files, etc. and not when you run graphical applications with a lot. The problem disappeared when I turn off my display drivers, but which is not really a solution.
I disabled the reboot on the parameter of the error and it is information of the blue screen of death:
    STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XEE6DF5E9, 0XBAD2F99C, 0X00000000)
    System32:huy32.sys - address EE6DF5E9 base at EE6DD000, Datestamp 45abe717

Anyone have an idea how I can solve this problem, it makes me crazy!
I downloaded the map Omega drivers, but am slow to install that I heard that they can cause overheating and I think ATI/Toshiba should be able to provide me with a solution without having to use third-party drivers myself.

    Hello

One question: do you use Antivirus applications and you did update the Windows operating system?
You said something about services.exe you indicating the computer turns off in 60 seconds.

For me, this looks like a virus! I also google for system32:huy32.sys some people said it s a malware!
I m not 100% sure, but maybe you have some virus you OS!

Now to the question of pilot you: Yes, Toshiba recommend that you use a clean graphics drivers on the Toshiba site. The use of original graphics drivers on the Web site of graphics card manufacturer is not recommended.
But I read a lot of thread on the omega drivers and many users using the drivers and they have no problems.
