Equium A210: "tsst corp ts-l632h" firmware is not compatible with my drive

Last year I had an Equium A210 17l of pc world. I recently bought some dvd - r tdk discs and the drive cannot read them. It's as if there is no disk in the drive.
So I thought I'd hunt around to see if there is updated firmware for the drive. I downloaded the firmware from this site, but when I try to update it says that the disc is not compatible! Evey bit of software I said the player is a * tsst corp cddvdw ts-l632h * with firmware to01.

The firmware I'm trying to download is [this | http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=UK&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 382 & selSeries = 173 & selProduct = 742 & STAS hortMod = 680 & language = 13 & selOS = 26 & selType = 50 & yearup load = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = al lMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 8 & electedLanguage s = 13 & type = 50 & page = 1 & ID = 63137 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

But whenever I try to run it it says that it is not compatible with my drive! What is going on?

Jim Venner

I recommend you to first install the 2 firmware until the you´re trying to upgrade the drive with the a3 because it is possible that the a3 requires the 2.

Please visit the site to download drivers, download the firmware 2 and check if it works.
Would appreciate any comments on your part.

Welcome them

    Hello

Maybe you should tell us what CD/DVD drive you have and where you have downloaded the update of the firmware.
In my opinion firmware update is not normally necessary.

Have you ever tried to remove upper and lower filters in the registry? This often solves problems with ODD.

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)

    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs

  • Equium A210-1AS - it gets hot after BIOS update

Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help here...

Currently have a Toshiba Equium A210-1AS with BIOS version 1.80 worm 1.00PARTTBL 08/04/2008.

Given that BIOS has been updated for a long time in this version 1.80 the computer became hot very quickly and therefore the laptop performance declined.
I looked on the Toshiba support site and upgrade only version 2.00 was not compatible with this laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Short model number is PSAFJE
    Thank you

    Hello

I checked the site Web of Toshiba and I didn't see any BIOS update for satellite A210 PSAFJE. This means that an update of the BIOS was never marketed for this laptop, normally.

To me it sounds like that you have updated the BIOS with one version for another Equium A210. So, you should go to an authorized service provider. Technicians can install the right version of BIOS for you (downgrade).

  • Wanted to use parallel to Vista on Equium A210-17I XP

I have a satellite A210 - 17l with Vista preinstalled on a HDD ATA with AMD Turion. Never thought to install XP over Vista on a laptop would be a complicated task.

I've considered to run MS XP pro on a virtual machine or the implementation of a multiboot system. I did the last of them once or twice on a computer desktop, but not with Vista. Now, the thing is that there seems to be no option of virtualization for my setup. Virtual PC does not work on Vista Home premium, isn't VMware on an ATA and Xen is still not compatible with Vista at all.

The option to install XP on another main partition seems to be as difficult as well. Tried with a slim streamed SP2 and base pro and none were able to boot from the CD. System configured to boot from DVD, but after checking the drive, it launches Vista again. Strangely, I put an old Win 98SE in the CD rom and it booted up withh options to install.

Well, I can't work on what is happening with this, but if someone with the same successful machine to install XP or use a virtual machine, please answer.

Perhaps someone else knows how to work around this problem?

I have installed two operating systems on several models of different laptops without any problem. You can install Windows XP Sp2 home edition on the second partition with no problems. Download all the utilities and tools of Windows XP Home edition drivers and configure preinstalled WXP.

  • Equium A210 - 17I PSAFJE - Lan and Wlan don't work running Windows XP

    Hello

I recently received this A210-17I (PSAFJE) for Christmas, but to my dismay, it was not compatible with most of my computer games, I decided to downgrade to Windows XP, after reading about how I could do this, I decided to do it myself.

So far everything works great, with the exception of 2 factors.
The controller Ethernet and RTL8187B_WLAN_Adaptor, which appear as unknown devices in Device Manager.

I installed ALL the drivers for download from Toshiba for this specific model page and I have operational including graphics and sound rest.

The WLAN adapter is strange for me, I downloaded this driver: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=1&PFid=1&Level=6& Conn = 5 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & downloads = true (the bottom one for Windows) and it seemed to install OK with the provided setup.exe. But the device is still unknown, and it will not install if the folder "Update Driver".

I have no idea what to do about the Ethernet controller :(

    Thanks for reading.

    * EDIT: Fixed; D *.

Looks like you have already decided to install a compatible driver of LAN and WLan.
    Am I wrong?

    Hello!

I think that there is a problem with the file that you downloaded.

I checked the page of European Toshiba for Satellite A210 driver download and I can't find the TO03 firmware. I downloaded the zip file and zip in this file is a readme file and another zip file which contains an exe file that you need to start only.

Maybe you need to download the file again. I can't find a .bat file in the archive. ?:|

I have the yellow exclamation mark beside TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L633B ATA cd/dvd drive device, I ran a fix, but it tells me that I need to reinstall. How can I do this? The cd player has always been very sensitive. Sometimes, longer works once not.

I have the yellow exclamation mark beside TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L633B ATA cd/dvd drive device, I ran a fix, but it tells me that I need to reinstall. How can I do this? The cd player has always been very sensitive. Sometimes, longer works once not.

Here is the solution to update your device with the latest driver of Toshiba/Samsung.

    Introductory material.

1 here is the update for TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633B ATA DEVICE.

    2. There is a update for the Samsung TS-L633B, but there only version SC01, which WILL NOT be updated the version of the TS-L633B HP because HP version is 0301 with an OEM Code of HM.

    3. However, Samsung has renamed TS-L633B with a new device driver ATA which is called SN-S083B and has a pilot SC02 update.

    4. the way that you update TS-L633B Code 0301 Version with HM Code OEM with the new Samsung SN - S083B Version SC02 Code is to patch the file and flash TS-L633B HP with the patched file.

    Instructions.

IMPORTANT - THIS ONLY REFERS to those who have the HP TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS - L633B ATA Device - check device manager to make sure that you have this model number device driver before you start - YOU DO THIS at YOUR OWN RISK. Proceed only if your product is not guaranteed and do not wish to pay for another DVD player.

    1. click on the following link and download the firmware SB02. Global Distribution of SN-S083B: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1380-file_SN-S083B_SB02.exe.html

    2. If you don't have a utility program unzipped, click on the following link and download and install 7zip that corresponds to your computer from the following link: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

The BIN SN-S083B unzip using 7zip by right clicking on it and choosing 7ZIP > extract here.

3 download the Flash Samsung Standalone utility:

    http://www.samsungodd.com/KorLib/file/tsdnwin.exe

    4. download and unzip http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/MediaCodeSpeedEdit.zip to ala42 MCSE

    Download source: http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/

5 create a folder and name it FLASH and place the following 3 items in the folder.

SN - S083B_SB02.bin that you have checked out

    Flashing Samsung Standalone utility

MCSE of Ala42 you have downloaded and extracted the zip file

    6. After you have placed all three objects in step 5 in the folder named FLASH, place the FLASH folder and all of its contents in the C drive.

    7. After placing the FLASH folder in C drive, open the folder and CLICK on RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and ALA42 MediaCodeSpeedEdit.exe RIGHT.

    8. when ALA42 MediaCodeSpeedEdit.exe opens, click the LOAD button and place you in the FLASH folder in C drive and load the file SN - S083B_SB02.bin - when the file it load it will show all of its regions.

    9. once the file SN - S083B_SB02.bin is fully loaded, place a check MARK in the area of CPR1 in the lower right of ALA42 MCSE.

    10. After putting a check in the box by ALA42 MCSE CPR1, click SAVE in the upper right and save the file in the file FLASH as SN - S083B_SB02_speedpatched.bin.

    11. now go to START > all PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT and right click on command prompt and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR to open the command prompt in the Administrator role.

    12. once the command prompt opens, type the following command: CD C:\FLASH and press the ENTER KEY.

13 after hitting the button enter, the command prompt should read FLASH.

    14. to the FLASH command prompt, type the following: nocheck tsdnwin and press the Enter button to open the flashing Samsung Stand Alone.

    15. when the flashing Samsung Stand Alone opens, click on the on button SEARCH and navigate to the file 'SN - S083B_SB02_speedpatched.bin"to load it into Samsung's Flash utility.

    16. the file "SN - S083B_SB02_speedpatched.bin ' will load and click on DOWNLOAD to start flashing your TS-L633B ATA Device.

Wait until the flash is finished and when it finishes, it will ask you to restart the computer and you must restart.

When you rebott and are back at your desk, Windows will recognize the drivers for your TS-L633B ATA Device and install the new drivers SN-S083B_SB02.

When it finishes installing your drivers, restart the computer once more, and then you're done.

NOW ENJOY your CD/DVD-RW drive updated.

I hope that I can just put the drive into another laptop and start (either by using the player itself or a Live CD). Unfortunately, when I put the drive in another machine, it prompts me for a password HDD/SSD but say that the password is incorrect.

Anyone have any ideas? The Equium stores a version coded the password or something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What I've tried so far:

1 put the drive in Toshiba Satellite C655. Request password and after 3 wrong attempts to stop.

    2. put the disc into the Compaq 610. Request of password and after 2 attempts to let me Live CD boot. However, once started, the drive is not visible at all (disabled by BIOS).

    3. with all the variations of portable password input - completed by zeros, dashes, spaces, etc.. Uppercase, backward, etc..

In what concerns the attempts to revive the satellite (so I can remove the hard drive password):

When it is plugged in, power and load front lights.
When lit, the logo turns on, the fan turns and can also hear the hard drive.
Then there's just in this State.
No display, no beeps, no lights on the keyboard.

Tried to start after removing the hard drive and CD-ROM drive. Also tried without the installed memory. All the same result.

    Thanks for your help.

It seems that the HARD drive has been guaranteed by a HARD drive password.
Mate sorry but this password cannot be deleted if you n t know the password.

Usually to remove the HARD drive password, you must put the HARD drive in the Toshiba laptop, have access the BIOS and there is an option called HARD drive password which allows you to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password.

  • Equium A210 starts with error - PXE - E61 Media test failure

Trying to help a friend that we think that the laptop has been damaged by the virus Exploit.Drop.G... All I could think and decided as a last resort to execute tried suggested wipe drive. This succeeded and I thought I'd be able to reinstall Vista from the disc, but I get the above error message. The laptop is a Toshiba Equium A210-1VO (model PSAF5E-001005KS number).

I noticed once before when using this laptop CD/DVD could not play DVD I tried all tips disassembling upper and lower filters etc, but could not solve this problem (which was pre virus). When I boot on utilities system that she admit HDD like Hitachi-(S1), optical disc drive: TSSTcorpCD/DVGW TS-L632D, and says total memory 2048 MB system BIOS version 1.60.

Totally stuck now, any advice/help would be much appreciated.

I think for some reason any HDD is not recognized as a boot device.
Start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot options.
He put original recovery disk or the ODD Microsoft installation disk when startup options are displayed on the screen.
Choose the CD/DVD as a boot device and press ENTER.

What happens when you do this?

A few days ago, I had a similar question about friends A300. HARD drive was defective. After Exchange of HARD drive, I was able to install Win.

  • Equium A210 - after that set BIOS to update the DVD player has stopped working

Hi, since I have recently updated my BIOS, my DVD drive has stopped working on my Equium A210-1AS with Vista 32 bit.

I tried the program fixme Microsoft who does not work, upper and lower register isn't here ether in regedit.
Someone at - it solutions for getting the DVD drive working again?

    Thank you

    Hello!

The CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager? You see an error code?
If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.

Try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

Have you tried to remove the upper and lower filters by yourself? Here is the solution from Microsoft:
