Equium EA90-128: memory expansion

Realizing that I need to improve my memory of 256 MB at least 512 MB I decided to look for memory DDR suitbale. I know I need memory SODIMM PC2700 but not only am I confused on the opportunity to buy a 512 MB module or two 256 MB modules but I can't seem to find any provider that caters to my model EA80-128. The information that I received with my laptop is not much help either. Can someone help me?... and if I can adapt even more memory?

Thank you

Jeff

Hello

Daniel is quite right. The maximum RAM supported by Equium A80 is 2048 MB.
If you put 1 GB of RAM, more you will have enough RAM for the manipulation of the Fryer.

Good bye

  • Equium L100-186 - memory expansion Question

    Hi all

I had my L100-186 satellite for over a year and have decided to upgrade the memory as the current 256 MB is quite poor.

I bought 2x1GB sticks and put them with no problem. Unfortunately it is not now start up. I returned two sticks, assuming that 1 was defective, but having received new sticks with the same problem, I guess that's not.

I tried the two stick in themselves and they work. They both work in each of the clips as well.

Someone has encountered this problem before, or someone has a solution to this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Jon

Hmm. very strange if you use right and same modules, then the two should work without any problems.
The laptop is able to manage 2 GB (2 x 1024 MB) max modules.

What you could do is to test the two memory locations separately. There is a location may be defective?
    What do you think?

However, I found some information on the modules compatible and recommended, and it seems that the DDR2-533 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G) module should work!
    You need exactly a DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM modules

    Hello

First if you have problems to find and buy a plug in charge and compatible parts or devices in the best way is on the agenda of the Toshiba service partner in your country.
But I googled a bit and found that this device was shipped with 512 MB and memory 2 slots are available.
In addition, you can use the modules:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 2M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 2M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-2M1G)

  • Equium A100-027 - memory distrubution

    Hello folk

This is my first post. I searched through but not find my question answered previously.
    I recently bought a 100-027 s/h satellite.

The display has failed on me shortly after. With the help of your useful forum, I discovered that one of my memory slots was defective and I could only work with a good memory slot.

As I now only 512 MB to run my Windows 7 I was wondering if I could spend the rest slot a 2 GB which is the maximum the laptop will be tolerated or can only go to 1 GB for housing good remains one.

I don't want to replace the mobo if I have to.

    Thank you

I googled a little and found info your old Equium that can be upgraded up to 4 GB.
Upgrading, you must use compatible RAM modules:
    512 MB (PA3412U - 2M 51)
    1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G)
    2 GB (PA3513U-1M2G)

It's what to do now your decision. ;)

  • Equium U400-145 memory problems

Hi, I have the laptop above and I had used it for a long time with 3 GB of memory.

The system has two locations and in the bottom, I had 1 GB and above, I got 2GB. The system came with 2 x 1 GB and I have kept a module provided and added a new bought Toshiba 2 GB module. The memory is PA3513S-1M2G
    2 GB memory PC2 DDR2 (667 MHz).

I have just updated to Windows 7. Before I was constantly this that I swapped the two modules autour system crashed when loading, with a screen blue with the Windows startup screen, saying there was a problem with my computer and he was going to shut down to avoid damage. He said I check any recently installed hardware.

If I have Exchange modules around again, it works great, even on Windows 7, 64-bit.

I updated the BIOS to ver 4.00 but the same happens.

I recently bought another 2 GB module to keep the system up to 4 GB, but I have determined that the system will keep crash at startup if:
-the lower slot has 2 GB with the upper part with 2 GB
-the top slot has 2 GB and below is empty
-the bottom has 2 GB and higher has 1 GB

If the bottom has 2 GB it works, just as superior with 2 GB and 1 GB lower!

There is clearly something wrong with the ability of the system to deal with memory. [Another poster | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=154992𥵰] asked on memory max capacity of this system and its investigation was * bad * responded indicating that this system may have only 2 GB. * This is completely false * as I've used it with 3 GB without problem for 1 year.

If anyone can help I would be extremely grateful.

    Hello

Equium U400-145 has been equipped with Mobile Intel® GL960
    Express Chipset. Is this good?

Here are some features of this chipset:
    http://www.Intel.com/products/Notebook/chipsets/GL960/GL960-overview.htm

As you can see the chipset handles the 533 Mhz max modules, so you can use 667 Mhz, but the modules will run at 533 Mhz ONLY

Here you can find the chipset specifications:
    http://www.Intel.com/assets/PDF/datasheet/316273.PDF

    Point 1.3:
There you can clearly find the info that chipset supports 2 GB RAM max and modules are limited to DDR2 533 Mhz!

Maybe you were able to use the 3 GB of RAM but the chipset has a limitation, and usually the most memory RAM is not supported.

  • Equium A60-155 - memory upgrade

I currently have Toshiba Equium A60-155 with 192 MB of RAM standard, and thought of the upgrade or buy a new laptop and I'm looking for advice.

I use my computer for music production mainly as well as simple tasks such as browsing the internet and funny game (mainly supercomputers, data sets with less emphasis on graphics etc.)

Basically everything I want to know the weather bought 1 GB of RAM would be update worth it because at the present time, the performance is slow to say the least. It would make a lot of improvement to my laptop or I'd better save for a few months and buy a new computer laptop all together?

    Thanks guys :)

    Hi Claire,

Increase the RAM in your A60: his current 256 MB will certainly benefit even if I suspect that the improvement will be not exactly breathtaking.

I suggest using the monitor of the task (available in Task Manager, during the execution of some of your applications to see just what the memory usage you actually is.

You currently have 64 MB of your existing RAM allocated for use of graphics, and you may be able to reduce this to 32 MB or 16 MB even to give you an additional display options in RAM capacity advances.

The actual gain from adding additional RAM will come if you want to run multiple simultaneous applications.

    Kind regards

  • Equium L20-197 - memory problem

I have memory problem with pc-world of computing L20 and currys sell the L20 with suite spec 256 MB of main memory and 128 MB of video memory (up to 128 no) when this is not the first case of all memory is shared and there are 64 MB main memory and when you try memory video in bios , it won't let you upward in rising to 128 unless you install another memory stick no matter who else noticed this problem? I know that the previous model of the L10 with intel video chipset was supposed to allocate depends of the video memory load, but there is no mention of this on the ati chipset model. all the ideas!

    Hello

AFAIK usually specification is 32 to 128 MB shared memory. Probably, it should be possible to put it in the BIOS. On some units with ATI graphics card, it is possible to put it under properties of ATI (display properties > advanced). There is an option to change the value of the AMU which will change the RAM allocation shared to the graphics card. It's usually adjustable 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB.

Can I really don t give you answer correct but my friends a laptop with 512 MB RAM and it works fine.

    Good bye

  • Equium L350 - 10L - memory upgrade question

    Hello

I have the Equium L350 - 10L. Is it possible to upgrade the memory on my laptop. For the moment, it has 2GB (2x1GB).

    Thank you

Of course you can upgrade the RAM.
Did you look in the manual that was stored on the laptop?
I think that you should do this it can you did many details, photos and any other information regarding the upgrade of RAM.

Check the memory extension Chapter 8 option aircraft.

In addition, you should know that if you would upgrade the RAM to 4 GB then your 32-bit Windows system will see ONLY 3.2 GB.
So if you want to use full 4 GB, you will need to change the operating system to 64-bit.

In my opinion, 3 GB of RAM are more than enough

  • Equium A60-692: memory upgrade question

Hi, I want to improve my memory. I wanted to add a memory of 1 GB on the extra slot but I wanted to be sure that I'm looking for, I don't know much about it and I want to ensure I have buy one that is compatible with everything. If someone knows something about this answer please.
    Thank you

    Hello

Well, you're first time here in the forum ;) Welcome!

Now to your question. AFAIK the Equium A60-692 was delivered with an internal memory of 256 MB. This module cannot be deleted.
Additional memory location is available and you can upgrade the memory for max 1280MB (256 MB + 1024 MB) in this case, you can use a 1 024 MB module.

You use PC2100 DDR - RAM memory modules.
Also, I found one that you can use without any problems. The reference is: 1024Mo PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

  • Of XC-704 & upgrade memory expansion slot

What is the specification of expansion slot for this model we would like to add a dedicated with DisplayPort graphics card?

    2 memory

How many slots does memory have on the motherboard?

What type of memory is needed?

What is the maximum memory supported by the motherboard?

OK, sorry raising model in Kingston and a few other sites did not show your computer and see that I had not seen everything I was confused. Based on what I found maybe a model from other countries.

That said, it seems that it comes with 2 gigabytes of Ram DDR3L and evolutionary 8Gig

Also, it seems that yours comes with 1 PCI Express Slot x 16. I'm not sure with the power supply and that is there if you would be able to switch to a different graphics card GPU and size of the case would impose a huge limit on what might be able to adapt...

  • Warranty and memory expansion

    Hello

I have a Satellite C650 194, which is about 6 weeks old. It has 1 GB of RAM. I was going to add more, however the plastic cover will not come off. I leave the screw and in the middle of the lid is loose, but it seems that the corners are stuck. It is a mechanism of self-protection?

If I open it in some way, does that mean that my standard 1 year warranty is cancelled. ?

One of my local retailers said he will void the warranty, it is said that it will not.
How to open the cover - do I just force opened with a very small screwdriver applied to each corner?

    Thank you

This memory a small operators cover plastic on the side. You try to remove it carefully. In the place where the screw was, move upward, but just in the Middle plastic ends a bit and these plastic brackets will be more or less.

If you check user's guides document you will find an exact description how do.
Upgrade memory can be done by the owner of the laptop and does not cancel the warranty.

If you need more help let know us.

One more thing: use high quality and compatible memory modules only.
