Equium L350 graphics - 10L card problem

Hello
I have the Equium L350 - 10L. He shared video memory and I was wondering if it is possible to change the amount. I see that it is not in the BIOS and is there a 3rd party tool is? Reason is that I want to use OS X Leopard, but I need to edit the video to be able to start (otherwise I just get a screen of white discoloration with two lines to).
If anyone has had experience with Leopard on this laptop and managed to make it work with QE/CI please tell me how you did it!

Thank you very much
Jonty

Leopard is not for me, but what I do know, is that there is no setting where you can change the amount of video. It will happen automatically. With more RAM inside, more memory will be reserved for video performance.

    Hello

I changed my windows, so I need to install the driver for my Toshiba Equium L350 - 10L Wlan. I downloaded all the drivers from the Web from Toshiba site, but it is still showing this missing Ethernet controller.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Are you sure that it s the WLAN card?
Ethernet controller could also be the normal LAN card.

Here, you can check which driver you need:
    http://www.PCIDatabase.com/
The vendor and device ID, you can check in-online properties of the Ethernet controller device manager. You should find something like VEN_xxxx & DEV_xxxx

After that, you can download the appropriate driver.

    Hello
I have Windows Vista preinstalled on my Equium L350 - 10L. I wanted to install Windows 2003 server on another partition in order to dual boot between the 2 operating systems. When I start with the install of Win2003 CD and access the Setup screen, I get the following error: «Setup didn't find any hard drives installed in your computer» I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) I have need to install the drivers for the SATA controller during the installation when he says "press F6 to install 3 pary SCSI or RAID drivers. I have two problems: 1. I can't find the drivers for the SATA for EQUIUM L350 - 10 L controller, 2. the laptop is not a floppy drive - which is the only way to install drivers during installation. Helpful suggestions and solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It is important to doesn´t if toshiba does not explicitly have the F6Floppy drivers for your machine. You can go to www.intel.com and download the drivers from F6Floppy from there.

On the issue of the 'no-floppy", you can easily find a way just in slipstreaming with nlite for self made Win2003 Server drivers CD.

To learn more about "slipstreaming" CD with nLite, simply type 'Nlite slipstream XP ICHM8' or some of these words in google and you will find all THE answers. Or you use the forum search and find only 10000 messages on this slipstreaming with nlite, etc...

  • Qosmio G40-10 s: graphics card problem

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G40 laptop 10s with a Nvidea 8600 M GT grafixs card. I was playing a game when it locked up and pasted what I would describe as flashing red/green 'Matrixy' search screen.

He then a blue screen and trys to reeboot.
He tries to start windows, but once again the top matrix. If it loads to the top, it is in 16 bit color with red dots all over the screen.

I am sure that the GPU is fried... and I was wondering what I can do? It's been 5 months out of warranty now.

I read on some forums that there have been a lot of problems with this Nvidea card... Is there anything I can do outside my warranty period with what there is a possibly faulty card in it from the beginning.

It will cost a lot of money to get it repaired, but its too good a laptop to let go to waste.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    J

    Hello

You also have these lines on an external monitor?
If so, there seems to be a graphics card problem and it must be replaced.

These overheating problems also occur if you use the nVidia display drivers directly. Toshiba drivers are pre-tested and don't overheat your system.

But I think you need professional help. You should contact an authorized service provider and talk to the technicians. They will help you! :)

  • Equium L350 - optical drive problem

I have a beautiful Equium L350 which I use for very basic tasks such as e-mail and internet shopping.
I'm an absolute fool when it's nothing technical, even remotely.

However, I bought this laptop in May last of PC World, Cardiff and were very happy until a few weeks ago when I went to use the 'optical driver' (thing stick you a disc in?) for the first time.
My daughter had a Barbie MP3 player for her birthday and I was trying to download all the relevant stuff from the disk, and nothing happened.
I don't know from reading this that you can see how hopeless, I am!

I have assumed that I was doing something wrong, until a colleague told me that he had the same problem with their Toshiba last year and there was a problem with the optical driver.
In any case, for 3 weeks, I have been ringing Toshiba trying to get some help.
I'm losing the will to live!

I'm put on hold each one each time for more than 20 minutes at a time.
I haven't talked to anyone! I sent (no reply!) and PC World have been just as useless as telling me that I need to contact Toshiba direct.

Did anyone have a number for them to the United Kingdom for service / warranty repairs / help of any kind! I love the machine, but the lack of customer service is soul destroying! I would be so grateful for any kind of comments!

Thank you ever much for taking the trouble to read this :)

    Sarah

    Hi Sarah

May I ask what's exactly wrong with your laptop?

You said something about Barbie Mp3 player.
How to connect to the laptop and what do you do with this 3rd party device?

You want to put some mp3 files to this player?

Sorry, but I don t understand you the problem and I can't see any link between a drive optical (I think that you are which means that the CD/DVD drive) and Barbie mp3 player

    By the way:
If there is something wrong with the hardware you need to always contact the ASP in your country.
Here you will find the ASP database:

It's like having two operating systems in one.

My laptop model is Toshiba Equium L350 - 10L.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Carol

    Hello Carol

Just in a few words: If your laptop is preinstalled with Vista original recovery image please make sure that the HARD drive has two partitions (C and D also check disk management). Windows XP must be installed on the second partition. For the installation of Windows XP Home edition, you need Storage Manager. Without this Storage Manager disk HARD won't be visible for the installation of Windows XP Home edition CD.

On this forum, you will find number of threads with the exact description how do.

At the end you must start Manager. Using this boot manager, you will be able to choose which operating system you want to use.

If you have any other questions please post again.

You need a SATA driver for new generation mobile phones are equipped with controllers SATA HDD, which needs a SATA driver.
The key is the Intel Storage Manager.

It contains the SATA driver for different Intel chipsets.

I found the compatible driver here in page Intel:

    [Intel® Matrix Storage Manager: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2101&OS FullName = Windows * + XP + Professional & lang = eng & strOSs = 44 & submit = Go % 21]

You must choose the * 32-bit floppy Configuration Utility for Intel Matrix Storage Manager *.

  • Equium L350 - 10L - memory upgrade question

    Hello

I have the Equium L350 - 10L. Is it possible to upgrade the memory on my laptop. For the moment, it has 2GB (2x1GB).

    Thank you

Of course you can upgrade the RAM.
Did you look in the manual that was stored on the laptop?
I think that you should do this it can you did many details, photos and any other information regarding the upgrade of RAM.

Check the memory extension Chapter 8 option aircraft.

In addition, you should know that if you would upgrade the RAM to 4 GB then your 32-bit Windows system will see ONLY 3.2 GB.
So if you want to use full 4 GB, you will need to change the operating system to 64-bit.

In my opinion, 3 GB of RAM are more than enough

How can I go back to square one and restart the installation process? Advice.

Oh buddy, a stupid idea. I really do not understand you. After several weeks or months in the box, maybe it makes sense that the battery cannot run with full capacity.

In any case, connect your laptop to power supply and leave it for a while. Departure for laptop to see what will happen. If the installation process can not be finished early new laptop computer and immediately press F8. First option to choose repair my computer and follow the on-screen menu. • Windows 7 graphics card problem

I have a HP Envy 17 t 3000 CTO Notebook PC product # LW900AV Every so often I get the message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" for some time, but has never been able to solve the problem. Then I started getting the blue screen of death which says something about a dump of memory and a driver from memory. Usually I hold down the power button and restart.

Then, while in windows mode the screen got all staticy, to restart, I have the windows logo, then I see a black screen with static in it and never completely, he began. I can go in safe mode without any graphic or other problem.

Go to Device Manager I deleted the driver for AMD Radeon HD 7690 M XT graphics card, then restarted, and it will start and will work perfectly with the other driver (Intel) until Windows loaded another driver for the Radeon driver (I couldn't stop) after the loading screen would be left empty. Nothing found online so far has solved the problem.

Then, I went into recovery and returned to the factory settings. That worked for a few hours, everything worked fine. Then I started to have static electricity once again, until I'm right here where I started.

Can someone tell me exactly what the problem is? Hardware or driver? Why does it work temporarily? Is it possible to completely disable the Radeon driver for good, where it is not reload on reboot? My computer has two graphics drivers (don't know why) is it possible to use the other driver instead (the Intel driver)?

Since it is not under warranty, if I brought a technician is something they can do?

    Thanks for your help!

Looks like're you allowing / victim of a Windows update that includes the wrong video driver for your system.

You could do things to do work things out and later a update of Windows comes with the wrong driver video and things mess for you.  Microsoft does not know what are the best drivers of material (audio, video, network), with your system and often sends the bad and if you don't pay attention to the updates, your system may malfunction.

First let's take a look at what you get when it is broken so that you know what things look like.

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

In the display section, pay attention to / take note of the Version of the driver that you know does not work for example:

15.200.1062.1004 driver version (your going to say something different)

If you have the system to a point where things seem to be working, go back in msinfo32 and also take note of the version of the driver that works.

Then hop out on the HP support site and download/install the driver proper (32/64-bit) from here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-17-notebook-PC-series/5145668/model/5180699

Then restart your system and return to msinfo32 and check the new display driver version to remember that he has updated and see how things look for and report.

If you did a factory reset, you can use the preinstalled HP Support Assistant to help with the video drivers, or you can download the HP Support Assistant from here:

    http://www.HP.com/go/supportassistant

  • Satellite X 200 - 21R - graphics card problem

    Hello

When I start my laptop Satellite X 200 - 21R, there are three successive beep (3 x) and the screen is black.

Apparently, it's the graphics card NVIDIA 8600GT DUAL SLI, it is defective.
It is a montage of special graphics (SLI) card with 2 x GPU 8600 connected in parallel.

If I disconnect the connection in parallel (unplug the two cards) and I can only connect one (to find the card that is dead)?
It is possible and it is functional for the laptop?

    Thank you for your help

To be honest, I can't imagine if it would be possible...
Generally, any change of material must be accepted and supported by the BIOS and as much as I know any GPU changes would affect the BIOS as well as the features of the laptop.

From my point of few to get the workbook, you must use exactly the same GPU chip, which was built in the laptop... but this seems to be a very expensive affair

  • Start Windows Vista or graphics card problem problem

OK have a problem with Windows Vista here. Its pc of my grandmothers, only a year or two. (office) My brother went in safe mode and came back with a restore point. He said it worked, but now, the screen goes black trying to open windows.

    What's happening...
It starts showing the status of the drives and ram memory and asks me if I want to install through F10 (which works) then it goes to the "Windows was extinguished not correctly." And it gives the offer of
    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Normal windows startup
The security mode through the long load upward and then a black screen and an arrow of big white mouse I can move.
Normal windows opens with the quick bar Windows... then nothing. Just a black screen and a white mouse arrow. Of Cntrl Alt Del does nothing and only thing that makes something happen hit SHIFT 5 times. It causes a beep and a window opens asking if I want to use StickyKeys. Other then that I had nothing.
I'll try to find a Windows Vista dvd to repair.
Part of me wonders if it is a screwing display driver. As I said some stuff shows up to save for windows, so it's a small chance, but to think what anyone.

    Hello

If you start Windows, see a desk white or black with no icons, video card problems are the most common cause of this problem.

    Try the following troubleshooting steps:

Method 1: Access your computer and reinstall your current video driver

Uninstall your video driver and allow Windows to re - install:

    1. click on start and type device manager in the search box

    2. click on device under Programs Manager

    3. Select the video driver and uninstall

4 restart your computer to allow Windows to reinstall the driver

Note: Once the driver is reinstalled, you may need to restart your computer to complete the installation. In addition, you will also need to adjust the resolution of the display to its previous value.

Method 2: Turn on the video resolution (640 x 480) and then update your video card driver

If the resolution of the registry problems does not work, perform the following steps to activate the video resolution:

    1. Click the Start button, click the arrow next to Shut Down and then click on restart.
    2. Press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
    3. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select activate video low resolution (640 × 480) and press ENTER.
    4. Log your computer with a user account with administrator rights.

If you can see your desktop, there is a problem with your video card. Try to update your video card driver. For more information,.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3: Start your computer in Mode safe mode and disable your video card

If activation low resolution and then update your video card driver do not work, perform the following troubleshooting steps to disable your video card driver:

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Note: Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed

When your computer restarts, if you can see your desktop, there is a problem with your video card. Try to update your video card driver. For more information:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 5: If these steps do not resolve your problem, try to boot mode safe again and follow the steps in the system restore to restore your computer to an earlier point in time.

    What is system restore?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

Note: System Restore affects file system of Windows, programs and registry settings. It can also make changes to scripts, files, batch and other types of executable files created under any user account on your computer. System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos, so it cannot help you restore a deleted file. If you have backups of your files, you can restore files from a backup.

If this still does not have the problem, contact your computer manufacturer or the technical support for further assistance.

    It will be useful.

  • Update Bios on Equium L350 now keeps restarting to load windows screen?

Hello guys here is my problem:

After I finished installing xp I had a few short drivers... like... ethernet controller video controller and a couple more...

in any case while searching for these downloads on toshibas website I downloaded an update of the bios (big mistake)... Then the computer restarted automatically after the download and update the Bios...
So after reboot it load up of home toshiba as usual... screen then the screen of windows then bam a quick flash of a blue screen then the computer restarts and repeats this process!

What is the solution? Need your help.

    Thank you

    Hello

It seems that the laptop starts fine but the Windows operating system may not start correctly.
In your case, I recommend once again to start and to access the BIOS.
Here, you must set it to the default settings and must save the changes.

In addition, you should boot from the Windows CD and must attempt to reinstall new OS.
If this will not help so I assume that something was wrong during the update of the BIOS and the BIOS should be reflashed again.

Unfortunately the BIOS can be reflashed back only by an ASP because ASP can use a traditional BIOS version that allows you to update if you are using external USB FDD drive.

  • Equium L350 beep at startup

    Hello
I have a laptop Equium L350 and for a few months, whenever I restart the laptop or start the computer bleeps it about 15 times before you start windows vista.

I don't know what this means, but when she starts the function click on the touch pad does not work (not the mouse keys), was the only one I can get the touchpad to work with a button click is to open my web browser and search for something (using the left click button) then when I click it it works!

I know this probably sounds more complicated than it is, but I'm not a big nudge when it comes to pc problems and it is difficult to explain what I mean LOL

Also I tried to restore my laptop with the recovery disc and the same problem persists.

This is typical when the warranty is only exhausted

Any ideas anyone on what the problem is and how I can stop making this horrible noise

    Alan

    Hello

I think that this sound is created by the BIOS.
Usually the power on self test (POST) is running at the beginning of the startup procedure.
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/power-on_self-test

MAIL scanning equipment and research of hardware problems if the beep appeared then it means that some errors were detected

But it is hard to say what role might be affected
Maybe it s a keyboard problem or RAM

In most cases this error can be read by technician ASP that guys have some manuals that provide a sense of code

PS: You are using the latest version of the BIOS? Otherwise, please udpate it!
