You must open your PC case and check on the cables.
If the cables are well connected, is probably a dead HARD drive.
If you are not comfortable to do, bring it to a computer store.

  • Acer eRecovery, what to do?

After a sudden BIOS reset (unknown cause) Windows 7 did not start more. Replacing the CMOS battery did not help. The "BOOTMGR is missing" message is persistent. Reinstallation of the operating system did not work with my Acer eRecovery dvd. I get the message there is not enough space for the temporary files needed. I see this 0.1 GB partition at the start of the wizard Creation of Partition. That's what I see:
    Disc 1. Used unused capacity
    13 GB GB 9,22 PQSERVICE 3.78 GB
    ACER 100 MB 9.73 MB 90,22 MB
    Acer 225.95 92.8 MB 225.86 GB
    226,71 GB GB 103,1 123,61 GB DATA

I formatted the third partition (Acer), but Acer eRecovery always gives the same error of not enough disk space.
What should I do? I really really not delete my DATA partition. Can I remove other partitions, including the hidden PQSERVICE partition?

Please help me, I'm already spend days on it and contact the Acer Support myself doesn't help either...

I think that since you have c and d volume, you can keep d volume but delete everying else.  Your D is more a partition... that is a volume.

But I'm not too good sense when it comes to disk management... the partitions, volumes and others, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

If you have important data on your volume D:, then maybe use some data recovery software if you are not sure.  You must remove the drive and put it in a USB enclosure, or something.

  • eRecovery changed me 32 bit on 64 bit

I did a factory restore using erecovery. It now shows me as having a 32-bit system rather than the 64-bit system, I had.

How can I get that back to 64-bit.

    I have a desktop Veriton X498G'

    Thanks for your help.

I did a second ercovery using the full restore and not to keep all the data. When it restarts it was to the 64-bit system. I have no idea how or why this happened but the restoration fixced complete the problem.

I hope this solurtion could help someone else in the future.

  • eRecovery Management does not complete

Hi all, I'm having a problem with my Acer Aspire 5610Z.  Here's where I started:

I got this second hand in a few months.  It worked well until recently, when it has started turning off within a few minutes of operation.

He's going to stay longer if I don't have to do anything (so useful!), but open any web browser, or even Windows Update stops.

It is not power, but to change to another cord (reliable and functional), makes no difference (the battery is turned on this laptop however).

I have run CCleaner, SpyBot S & D, MalwareBytes, Zemana and HitMan Pro - they found a thing or two, but there is nothing to prevent the issue.

I have updated all drivers using Driver 3 Booster.

I restored to an earlier date than the question, but that did not help either.

It is not hot, it is a few minutes of power.

The kicker - it will stay indefinitely in Mode safe, but as soon as I boot normally, it goes back to extinguish.

I have about 50% of free disk space.

Pressing F10 just starting gives me this, with no way to do something that I see:

Edit Windows boot options for: Microsoft Windows Vista
    Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
    Score: 2
    Hard drive: 298fa959
    [/ NOEXECUTE = OPTIN]

I don't have any OS disk for it, as I got it second hand, and the key is OEM.  I don't have anything on the computer I would mind lost, other than the OS itself.

Somebody advised I have try the eRecovery Management restore factory settings.  I tried and it stops and restarts, but I never notice that is supposed to appear in step 7 here:

To start your system restore follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Start menu, and then click all programs.
    2. In the list of programs, click the Acer file, and then click the Acer eRecovery Management .
    3. User account control Windows may request your permission to run this program, click Yes.
    4. In the Acer eRecovery Management window left click restore, and then click restore completely the system to the factory defects.
    5. On the Confirmation screen, select Yes , and then click Start
    6. Finally click OK to confirm the restore, then your computer will restart.
    7. Once the computer has been restarted, click Next if you accept the view on your screen.
Note: The notice is to inform you that all your data will be erased. If you have not saved your data click on Cancel.
    8. Then you get a confirmation screen. Click Next, and then click OK to start the recovery process.
    9. Recovery can take some time to complete. You will get a confirmation screen when it's over.
    10. Click OK to restart your computer.

My another fight is that he keeps cutting Middle process on things that cannot be done in safe mode - it took me a few weeks to get to this point.

Thanks for reading all this - any suggestions?

I have some other ideas for the moment, seems that your recovery is corrupted somehow.

  • eRecovery fails on Aspire 5755 G

    Ave, all,.

I have an Acer Aspire 5755 G (Windows 7 processor i5), who inexplicably failed the other day, after being closed properly disconnect and AC the previous night.

The boot failure message suggested that the system could not communicate with a device on the laptop but did not say which.

The attached device is a USB adapter for a wireless keyboard and mouse. I have unplugged and restarted, with the same result. Could not even start in safe mode.

Thinking that I might be able to boot from a recovery disk, I tried 1 disk of the eRecovery set that I did when I bought the camera and managed to enter the eRecovery menu. I decided to try the recovery, maintaining my personal files and the process, seemingly completes successfully, then restarted at the Windows.

There was a message saying "boot services" which was followed by an error message saying "Windows could not complete the installation. Installation will continue after the restart. »

Pressing return restarted the system in a loop of this sequence, until I turned it off.

Last night I managed to start up to a point where I could use the defined embedded eRecovery (ALT + f10 on power), and after running CHKDSK on my HARD drive, which has been called a clean, I tried the operation once again, with the same results when I used the DVD set.

At this point, I am at a loss - I do not know what caused the problem, and so I do not know how to fix.

If someone out there has had this problem and knows how to solve this problem, I'd appreciate advice you may have. the laptop has less than two years and did not no problems so far - it would be a shame to have to replace...

    Thank you

    Bob

Well, I have my OS back, but had to make a complete aid factory reset (as it turns out) eRecovery.

A co-worker who built and repaired laptops as part of his work connected my HARD drive on a cart of disc and it connected to a desktop computer so I could pull files from it, which we fortunately were able to do.

After that I told him he could go for the factory reset if necessary.

Using a Windows 7 DVD to start the system, he got in the eRecovery on board game and ran the second option, which has reinstalled the OS and utilities Acer-load their original settings.

So far, the unit's been behaving itself, but I guess time will tell.

I spent the last 24 hours re-application of the Windows hotfixes, anti-virus, e-mail and browser, but if I get a stable system you have been worthwhile.

Thanks for the suggestions and advice.

  • default restore (Aspire One) without eRecovery?

I'm trying to restore an Aspire One (Windows XP) to the default values. All I can find refers to the eRecovery Management program running, but it is not on my hard drive. Alt + F10 does nothing, so I started using a CD with sbminst.iso so I could actually watch the partitions, and there was no recovery partition. I tried to contact Acer, the netbook is out of warranty, so I can't get through to the Acer technical support.

    (1) is there a way to restore the system to factory default without the eRecovery program?

    (2) where I can get hold of the eRecovery Manangement program (the Acer store says there is no media for my netbook)?

    (3) how can I keep someone at Acer who can help you?

I appreciate all the advice on this. Thank you!

    Update:

I gave up trying to get the system restore. I have a copy of Windows XP. I thought that it could be used on a single computer, but then I discovered that the disc can be used to install Windows on any computer, but the serial number cannot be used on a single computer. The Acer netbook, I was trying to trouble had the windows serial No. affixed to the bottom (thanks to technology that initially installed Windows!) so I just did a new install and used the original serial number. So now it works very well (I tried to restore the system, because the computer was as slow as molasses). Tommy, thank you very much for offering help.

  • l1Is there a way to install applications using my Acer erecovery flash drive?

Unfortunately not, this drive is just loading the operating system, not the actual individual applications and drivers. What system you have, there may be certain Acer applications on our technical support site.

  • Aspire eRecovery ES1-111 Medium

Hi, I have an Aspire ES1-111 who had a breakdown of its Members, the recovery partition is slaughtered and the bios has trouble booting from the recovery key. The acer store does no stick eRecovery for ES1-111 and repair-page said that the SNID is not eligible for the service.

I'm basically left with a brick because there is no legal way to get another copy of 'Make 8.1 with Bing', because it is OEM stuff and I'm obviously not a reseller. Short buying win 8.1 for half price the unit, what can I do?

Have you checked in with the SNID and the serial number on the appropriate regional site.

If your computer is under warranty, you can contact Acer German technical support here support German Acer

You can contact them directly and check the warranty information and send it for repair.

  • Model Aspire 6530 Acer ZK3 HELP me please! eRecovery and black screen

    Hello world

I'm completely out of my League, and I'm hoping that one of you can help me. The Acer Aspire 6530 had the black screen/no work so I thought I would format (option F10) to find this eRecovery is coming with a gray screen with 3 options:

---> Restore system to factory default

---> System Restore from the backup of the users

    ---> Output

The only option highlight is out and I can't click on another option. My question is can I download the erecovery disk and put it in the computer or how can I make it work?  Something else, as someone may think, please.

Unfortunately, we do not offer a version of eRecovery by download. You can try to reload the operating system with recovery disks, if you think there may be a problem with eRecovery. Recovery discs are available on http://store.acer.com, click eRecovery.

  • Aspire 5336-windows restore and erecovery two failing?

    Hi all

Last night, my system started to hang on the home screen (for more than 30 minutes), so I tried a windows system restore to a few days ago. This does not (I can re try and advise specific error messages if this helps) - I then tried the Alt + F10 erecovery, but still receive an error message when it is almost full the message says ' windows restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. " Windows Setup cannot continue. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then run the Setup again.

The complete factory reset is the only thing I have not tried, because I will not lose rather all the pictures and music I stored on there - is there a way to solve the problem at all, without completely wipe the hard drive? I have access to other PC etc. to download things and burn them on cd/DVD/memory sticks...

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Mark

You can run Check Disk via the command prompt. But before that, we recommend that you try the following steps to complete the installation of Windows in your system:
    1. on the screen that displays ' Windows restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. " Windows Setup cannot continue. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation"error, press SHIFT + F10. This will open a black window that is actually a command prompt window.
    2. in the command prompt window, type "regedit" (without the quotes). This will open your registry editor.
    3. in Registry Editor, go to "HKLocal machine/SYSTEM/INSTALLATION/STATUS/ChildCompletion" and highlight ChildCompletion
    4. After you select, locate setup.exe on the right side. If the value here is 1, you will need to change to 3. You can do this by double-clicking on setup.exe and by changing the value in the box.
    5. now close the registry editor and close the command prompt window.
    6. click 'OK' for the error and your computer will restart and finish the installation process.

To run Check Disk via the command prompt, open the command prompt window by following the instructions mentioned in step 1 above, and then type "chkdsk/f/r" (without the quotes) in the window.
