Error 0x000000d in windows 7, try to connect to a printer on an xp machine
Hello
I am putting in place a 'server' home using a desktop computer with XP. I'm trying to connect my laptop running Windows 7 64 to the printer attached to the XP machine and I get the error 0x0000000d code. I searched for an answer and can't find it. Help, please.
It depends on where is the blocking. Did you get the created local port. I know with some models Lexmark sends an alignment page or generates session zero UI (although I think that they updated most tof these drivers). Find windows background of Lexmark in need of your ideas if the shot is in the phase of creation of printers add printer.
In a word for someone else who reads this
First phase
How do you connect to the device? Creating port when adding new ports
Next
What printer driver?
Next
Other stuff depending on the configuration of network
Next
Print the driver installation using the name of the selected driver
Next
Create printer. Calls the driver that you have selected to create printer registry keys and assigns the printer port you have created/selected. Alan Morris Windows printing team; Here Microsoft Knowledge Base search: http://support.microsoft.com/search/Default.aspx?adv=1

Windows 7 Home Premium, connection to a printer on a router
Hello
I recently bought D-Link (DSL-2750U) router. I have two laptops, one running XP and the other under Win 7 HP. I have connected my Canon MP250 printer to the router and could add a network printer on the XP laptop. I was able to print correctly. However, when I do the same configuration on my Win 7 and try to print, the printer says "Winding" for awhile and then it comes up with "Printer busy/Error" on the print queue window.I am running McAffee antivirus and tried disabling the firewall as well, but nothing helped. Any help is deeply appreciated in this regard that it is driving me crazy!Thank youArunHere are my suggestions, even if I do not have very high probability that it will work:
- Remove the MP250 of devices and printers
- Click on one of the other printers (any) then click on the "Print server properties" button that appears in the bar next to "add a printer".
- Select the "Ports" tab and remove any port is 192.168.1.1 (with or without: 631 or: 631\printer\MP250)
- Follow steps 1 to 7 of my previous post
- After clicking on 'Next' to step 7, the system will search for a minute or two and then the next screen:
- Select the "Custom" radio button and click the button "settings". The following screen appears:
- Let the radio button for 'Raw' selected, but replace the 'Port number' under 'Settings Raw' 9100 631.
- Click OK. What is going on?
- If this does not work and you get the same than before error condition, return to devices and printers, right-click on the icon for the MP250, select 'Properties of the printer.' click the "Ports" tab and then click on "Set up the Port." Replace the "Port number" of 631 631 / printer / MP250 and then click OK
- If step 9 does not work, I am ideas. In this case, I suggest that you contact D-Link and ask them how to use the functionality of print server in the LAN-2750U in Windows 7. This model does not seem to be sold to the United States if you're in India, you can try emailing helpdesk at THE dlink.co.in (as normal email addresses will be automatically deleted by the forum software).

trying to access a lexmark printer installed on xp based computer from a laptop running windows7 via a local network. Although the network is configured correctly, when I run the Windows printer installation I get an error message ' Add printer. Connect to the printer. Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e"I just upgraded to Vista by using the upgrade Acer and had the problems that Windows tried to download the drivers from Lexmark-, but could not. [the same lexmark printer and the configuration worked without any problems before the upgrade on this combination of machines running vista and xp].
I had a similar problem when I tried to connect to an hp printer that used a Vista driver. Could do this test? Download Windows 7 driver from Lexmark, install it, and then try to connect to the printer again. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com

Unable to connect to a printer Brother MFC - 240 c to Windows 7 computer network
The computer of my network which is connected directly to the internet and my router is a computer running Windows Vista (32 bit). My computer is connected through the network to access the internet and the printer connected to the computer base. My computer was also under Vista and networking has worked well.
I installed Windows 7 (64-bit, not by choice, done automatically) on my computer and now I can't connect to the printer on the Vista machine. I can access the internet (even if it is significantly slower than when I had vista) and on basic computer file sharing, but I can not configure the printer. The printer is a Brother MFC - 240 c
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
I'm assuming you get an error indicating that the print driver for 64-bit is not installed in the Vista machine. You can either install a 64-bit driver that has the same name as the x 86 driver on the Win7 machine printing and reattempt the connection, install the 64-bit driver that has the same name on the Vista computer (for other 64-bit machines), but it's more difficult.
Alternatively, you can set the machine to check Windows Update for a printer driver that has the same name as the 32-bit print driver. If gpedit.mcs run for the version of Windows you have.
