• How to clear the error 314101

  I am trying to create a mechanism of robust communication between a cRIO and a desktop application HMI. I tried to use the network stream I could avoid a lot of pitfalls in the management of a TCP connection. My RT code must be written to operate, and must recover gracefully network disconnections and brutal power loss. I can simulate these things quite effectively pulling the Ethernet cable or hit the button to Abort in LV

  My goal of RT has a drive with the endpoint name ' commlink/drive '. My HMI has a burner with the name "commlink/recorder. HMI tries to establish the connection: he gave the Player URL ' / //commlink/player. This set works very well on the first pitch, but not after abandonment to the RT code. On the next run, the RT code often receives the error 314101 (endpoint with the same name already exists.) to create network Stream Reader Endpoint VI. I can't understand how to clear this error in order to recreate my end point and restore the comm link. Does anyone know how? Calling the destroy Stream Endpoint VI with refnum workflow does not work, and there are no other screws or properties that look like they manage the connection management.

  I know I'm coming to the end of the conversation, but maybe some of this information will still be useful.  While network streams were designed to manage multiple connection/disconnection cycles with the underlying TCP/IP connection on the network seamlessly, they were not intended to perfectly manage and survive many lives or running instances application with endpoints.  All this is still possible, it will take more work on the part of the implementer.  An important thing to remember when using network flow, is that once you've managed to connect the two end points, the destruction of one of the endpoints (via normal stop or an accident) will require the destruction of the other end.  This means that you cannot simply reuse on RT target endpoint to communicate with several sessions of HMI.  Instead, you will have to destroy endpoint on the target of RT and create another endpoint (probably with the same name) for the next session.

  To do this, I recommend a state machine that is basically:

  1. Create an endpoint - you can do either with an infinite time-out or a continuous loop with a timeout if you need meet orders of demolition/judgment of the user.
  2. Continuous read/write in the flow in a loop.  If at any time you receive a fatal error of read/write, leave the loop.
  3. Destroy the end point and return to the State first, where you can wait for the next connection.

  I would avoid going down the road of trapping of the specific error codes and writing conditional logic for each of them.  Network stream API was designed such that for most / all cases, you should should not do this.  If you have a healthy stream that can still move the data, you will not be getting errors from the read or write call (apart from a few things matter as if we were trying to read from an endpoint unique writing of corner).  If you get an error in reading or writing, it usually means your workflow is dead and you need to create a new one if you want to continue to communicate with the remote application.

  If you follow the above, I think that you are 90-95% of the way.  As the article you link above mentions, there are additional considerations to take into account if you need to tolerate the application crashes / accidents of remote endpoint.  In these scenearios, you basically have one of the three results of the application that always uses the end point which don't collide:

  1. Demand will start to return errors:  In some scenarios, we can detect the remote application is crashed, abnormally terminated, or whatever.  In these cases, the read/write will return an error and the same pattern described above should work.
  2. The flow will introduce a disconnected state and stay offline:  This would generally happen with a fall in demand.  In these cases, we cannot tell if the connectivity loss is due to a problem with the application or poor network conditions / remote computer.  If you need to detect and recover from this scenario, you can do as a section of the link recommend you and write a timer that resets the stream network if the flow remains disconnected for a period of time.  This could be incorporated in step 2 of the above state machine quite easily.
  3. The flow will continue to make a State connected, even if the remote application is no longer functional:  This should rarely occur and would occur only when the application on the remote computer hung or an impasse, but the network computer stack is still in operational condition.  In this case, we cannot differentiate between a suspended application and the other simply has all the data to send.  If you need to detect and recover from this condition, the best thing to do is probably to create a second timer that resets the stream if it's too long you've changed successfully read/written all the data.

  I must emphasize scenarios 2 and 3 can be greatly simplified if you care to detecting the crash & block until another application attempts to connect to the application that is still ongoing.  For example, restarting the application has crashed/hung will recreate an end point and try to re-establish the connection of flow.  At this point, the application which is still running will go account he communicated with endpoint remote must have crashed and raises an error.  At this point, the same state machine mentioned above should be sufficient to re-establish the connection.  I think that this part could be more difficult in LV 2010 since the first attempt to apply newly restarted it also throw an error when you try to reconnect to the remote application.  This will occur until the endpoint in the live application was also destroyed which means that you would have to execute a loop on creating calling until she succeeded.  In 2011, we changed the behavior so the call to create the newly restarted application would cause the remote application to start return errors, but now we are still trying to establish the connection on the newly restarted application for up to the timeout limit.  If you use a state similar to the above machine, you should be able to reconnect without having to write a loop around the call to Create in the newly restarted application.

• A button to push on CUCM registered endpoints

  Hi all!

  I tried to implement a buton to push with CUCM registered endpoints. As far as I understand it, the system must be added to the MSDS directly and not only as the room, therefore RSI can push messages to the endpoint. If I add endpoint to TMS I get error, that endpoint has put the wrong type of provisioning. Accordingly, I am not able to change the settings of reservation, as allow remote booking for MS Exchange integration.

  BBFRR may be available for endpoints registered or is - CUCM this only available for registered endpoints VCS?

• Problems with error Windows Audio and Control Panel "one or more of the audio service is not running.

  I'm a bit of a technophobe, but I'll try to explain my problem, I got better.  I recently had a problem with Windows 8 and refreshed my system.  After refreshing, I installed AVG Anti-virus and that's where my problems really started.  After installing AVG I have no sound and my control panel usually pop up.  The box is displayed but there is nothing in it and it sorts just of sticks, frozen.  I tried the fixes recommended to fix my sound. The speaker in my taskbar icon has a red x on it and when I try to open it it goes right to the problem-solving mode, then comes up with "one or more of the audio service is not running.  When I try "run services.msc' and try to start Windows Audio through Services I get error 0x800706cc.  I tried to uninstall AVG and reboot, but it did make a difference.  Please help, this leads me to the madness now.  Nothing I try seems to work!

  Installation of AVG is when the problems started, I would start by undoing that.  Since the normal uninstall did not help, use system restore to return to a work situation.  Check here and use the #1 option.

  Select Device Manager. Go to the module controller Audio, video and game
  Select the audio driver. Click right on-> select uninstall
  Restart the computer and Windows will reload the driver again.

  Just set up a new installation on vFoglight 6.6.1. Everything seemed to be fine, however the initial logon page is not display to the screen below. I checked the services, the start page is all green and netstat reports that the server is listening on 8080. Any help would be appreciated.

  I looked on many forums and websites I have tried every thing and its still not working.my audio does not work there is a red X on the sound icon and when I click on it it happens something detection of problems, said one or several windows services do not work. I looked on the forums and he said to see if windows audio running I checked and it was not running. I checked to make sure that all the dependencies were running and they were. I checked my virus protector and re-enabled storage what I thought was audio windows (because someone on a forum says it worked) and it still doesn't work.  I also tried the thing of scan to prompt orders and for some reason, he didn't start the scan. I have not now what it takes can someone please help me.

  Recently, I restarted my laptop and after restarting, I couldn't play any music media player, iTunes or xbox music. • Deliver the new addition VCenter

  I have a new VCenter to add to vRealize 6.2.1. I add the endpoint with success, I create a new group of fabric, but I do not see any cluster managed by the Vcenter.

  The service account has full administrator on the Vcenter rights, I tried another account (also with rights)

  Another something thing to note is that I have old heap still present in the vRealize that have been deleted a long time ago in existing VCenters, I have still two clusters reported for one who has been renamed, the one with the old name and one with the new name.

  Just to understand where you are at. You have 1 end point of vCenter already created using the proxy agent that you originally installed. Is the name on the vCenter agent proxy? Then, you need to add an another vCenter. It's one of so that you do not see the inventory. So, you have installed another proxy agent and called it... vCenter2? When initial installed did you do a distributed installation or the installation of the components of the IAAS?

  vRA will not get rid of the clusters, he saw even if they are deleted or renamed.   What happens one? I'm going crazy?   Well, maybe, but actually part of the problem is that calculation of resources are not displayed when you think, until you go to groups - fabric groups and then check the clusters that you would like to use vRA.  Now when you navigate to calculate the select cluster resources will appear.  {shakes head and face Palm}

  The lesson is, so don't forget the section group of fabric with the addition or subtraction of compute resources.  In addition, it is perhaps orphan computing resources in the database.  The following KB may help solve this problem.  VMware KB: deletion of an endpoint in vRealize Automation fails with the error: the endpoint is used by comput #...

  I stop the application on the first node, then the second request become a master. What is expected.
  
  Then I add an index (using dbxml without transaction) to the container on the first node. New documents are inserted into the container to the second node. Then I try to restart the application to the first node, but it fails. I got an error: BDB: PANIC: error fatal region detected; run recovery. The error can easily be duplicated. Even if I run db_recover - c - h. /, it still does not work.

  Yes. I think that dbxml shell does not support environment replicates in this version. You can dig into src/utils/shell/dbxmlsh.cpp, modify the code for your special use, re - compile the dbxml shell and try again.

  I have try to add indexes in master and it works. Please make sure that:
  1. ALL PART of your operations are protected by an EXPLICIT transaction.
  2. protect your transactions by try & catch blocks and try to make sense again. Exit the caught exception can help you see this error message occurs.

  If I stop at one of them (say, stop the master and keep slaves running), index can be added successfully to master, but then be removed from maser automatically after restart of the master. Is this reasonable?

  In fact you can NOT add indexes on slave. And what happens is reasonable: the captain joined the network, failed in the election and need to sync with the new master (the previous slave). If the index you inserted is removed.

• Error 42 on Create Endpoint of network news reader

  I am trying to use the network stream.  I have not had any problems on my Windows System 7/LabVIEW 2011.  However, when I tried the same code on my computer laptop desk or at home (both windows 7/LabVIEW 2011), I got a 42 error trying to create the endpoint of player.

  I am very confused!  The code is similar to that in the examples, it works on a PC, but fails on the other two.  I think it's something to do with the LabVIEW installation or a configuration of Windows.  I thought that they were all set up in the same way, however.

  Does anyone have an idea of this error?  This is the code that breaks down...

  When you create a channel writer, there was a pop up select the Channel end point, but whatever the option chosen, there is a window saying "LabVIEW could not create the required channel endpoint", error ccode: 8 file authorization error

  By chance, do you have re-defined the default data directory in LabVIEW?  LabVIEW uses to host files for the warp threads, and if you moved from its default position in your profile (C:\Users\\Documents\LabVIEW data), especially if you moved it to the root of C:, it could become unalterable.  This must remain in your profile!
