  • No audio signal while trying to play videos in WMP.

Origina; Title: lose audio when you edit / download videos to phone on my pc.

Hi, I downloaded videos from my phone to my pc, and I'm having a few problems. I use Windows Media Player to open which has audio, but they are on the side, so use Windows Live Director to remedy this. Unfortunately I find myself with movies, common sense, but no sound! The videos are in 3GPP format. I tried to download some audio codec / tweaking tools, but have not really had any idea what I'm doing, and I am also concerned about the authenticity of these downloads. Then... I'm a techno total phobe in need!

Since 3 days when I try to play any video in youtube, it says: "an error has occurred. Please set win later. I tried firefox installed Linux OS installed in the same machine. Same problem on Linux too. Help, please.

Recently it has stopped working in Chrome and IE also. I found that the reason is due to DNS servers. I disconnected my broadband and used a 3G dongle and found that everything works. Then I contacted my broadband provider. In my context, DNS was automatic. I changed it to the number assigned by them. Now the problem is solved.

I cannot read the DVD, Live TV, or ripped movies in Media Center on my computer (64-bit) of W7. I just upgraded to W7 (64-bit). However, I can play all content in Media Player. 1. right click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of the screen

    2. click on playback devices

    3. Select your audio device by clicking on it.

    4. click on properties, below on the right.

  • Unable to play video, lack the codec indeo 5

    Indeo 5 removed from XP/Windows.

I'm trying to play videos of when my child was a baby. A few precious memories - although taken with a Webcam.

I am running Windows XP SP 3. Research on the forum here, it seems that the codec has been removed from windows. And unless I pay a company in 20 US dollars more or less, I won't get to see these videos. Sounds like inmate hostage if you ask me!
They do not seem to exist in a different media player - just what I'm looking for crashes at halfway through (DivX, Real, Nokia, Apple, Windows Media).
The company who make the codec throw fault purely at the feet of microsoft. (If this is the case, why pay for the download for the older Indeo 5?).
Any who Microsoft have access to this codec internally and brave enough to post it for download?
If not - does anyone know a media player (or converter) that contains it and is honest enough to install?

    Hi @tej,

I'm assuming that you actually see the core MediaPlayer card app transition when you perform this invocation. But if this is the case, you simply reference to a * looking to come * operation from the progress bar? (i.e. component UI slider). Because the only way you can actually get a * operation forward fast * is increasing reading speek, through the Cascades MediaPlayer API or mm-renderer C API; links to documentation for the MediaPlayer card above, there is no way to specify the quick delivery.

Now, assuming that your * search * operationg is a failure, it could even be on how Dropbox is expected or with HTTP calls. A few things to consider (the URL you pasted is not accessible to me, at least my network to work here):

    (1) the same video file works with the search when you already downloaded on your phone (which is pointing to a local path instead)?

    (2) the same Dropbox URL works perfectly well with the streaming/looking for a browser based player? (for example VLC client on the default player on Google Chrome or Firefox)

    For example, here's a .mp4 from a video podcast site: http://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp4/twit.cachefly.net/video/tnt/tnt0920/tnt0920_h264b_640x368_256.mp...
