  I searched the similar problems here and checked to see if none of the suggestions work, and they did not.

  Could you please tell me why my PC do all this suddenly and does so whenever I try to access My Documents, Control Panel, etc..

  Problem has been resolved. A purchase price comparing the toolbar got installed on my computer without my knowledge.

  I ended up having to change my registry to remove it.

  Now I can open all my files and the control panel etc. and receive no APPCRASH.

  First time poster, long drive date. I have an Asus laptop that I bought new in December of 2015 with Windows 7 Premium. In early March, after a particularly interesting day, I received an error that UpdateChecker.exe had crashed and closed. Not thinking about it, I thought it would open to the top next time I restarted. As much as I know, which never happened.
