Error ATIKMDAG on Satellite A300

You wrote very interesting opinions and it's OK but I'm afraid you have the wrong. Each notebook series is somewhat different, and perhaps you do not understand as general Toshiba problem. Use Google and you will find many threads in various forums where people related to the same topic on different desktops and laptops.

If there is the problem with the A300 I am sure that Toshiba will make the effort and offer the solution regarding the model A210.
Satellite A300 is fairly new and not so long on the market. BIOS and driver updates display cannot be created overnight and I am afraid, you have to be patient on this matter.

In the end, I must say that moderator doing a very good job. You should not confuse people with your personal statements and they should not think in the wrong direction.

    I use Toshiba Satellite A300-1GN with Vista 32 bit. I tried to create a recovery using Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator disc.

    What's wrong?

    I agree with the codes for the TDKs are not bad and I had a very good experience with these media.
    I tried to burn the recovery disk using another brand and I've damaged 3 DVD + R discs
    Then I went to the TDK DVD - R and it is ok

    I think that questions is related to the question of the compatibility between the discs and the STRANGE...
    So it of really worth to test different media!

    It is good that you posted a screenshot of the error, but perhaps you can translate it into English, it would be more useful.

    In any case, the disks that you use to create the recovery disk? I m using Verbatim DVD-R media. It worked perfectly for me and I can recommend this path.

    New to the forum, I had a search around so im hoping someone can help me.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 PSAGCA and trying to resize a partition my computer become unresponsive and since then I can not load Windows Vista. When the computer starts it comes up with the error "interrupted operation: insert the Recovery CD.

    So I used the restore CD that was with my program of partition but I get a different error message saying "Incorrect BIOS settings change video buffer size" which I cannot find in the BIOS and no help from their support.

    If im now doing a Toshiba Recovery and restore my laptop, but I can't get into recovery. Holding F8 during startup to show the boot advanced options, or not taking '0' as ive read its supposed to.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Errors with display & to access the pages in IE - Satellite A300

    For a few weeks now, I not was able to display images in their entirety on Web sites - they just don't download not entirely or don't load at all.

    I'll also have a lot of problems with the two IE & Mozilla Firefox, when I try to access the sites Web & click for more into Internet sites I constantly get errors & the page does not load until I Ctrl F5 many times.

    You wouldn't believe how many times I have done this for just register on this forum & get to that stage.
    It's like any site that has multiple pages or much info to download is just too much for the two programs?

    An error indicates to the bottom of the lower part of the IE: res://ieframe.dll/dnerror.htm in this case, if this can help.

    I checked the memory etc, all right.
    I have a satellite A300. Hope someone can suggest something.

    I have Zone Alarm firewalls, spies & antivirus software. Have had throughout & its only been in the past weeks I have had this problem?

    The CEC_MAIN. EXE application belongs to the software of the camera, and if you have already tried to reinstall, you should check your firewall and security software.

I tried to make records of recovery through Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. However, each time, I got an error message. I tried with Verbatim, Philips DVD-R and lost several DVDs. Meanwhile on the net surfing, I discovered that the engraver of DVD from Toshiba is a little sensitive and try to use Verbatim DVD - R brand. I tried with Verbatim 2 days and at the last moment when I was about to dance with joy that the first DVD is created, received an error like below

    * "The following issue occurred during the recording of the data of the disc.*
    Current process will be stopped.*

    * A power calibration area error occurred.*
    * Please check if the disc is scratched or dirty.*
    * If Yes, please try again with a new disc.*

    "* (Error code: 0E01B5-26-00037304)."

    I don't really understand the message. Can advise you on how to create the recovery disks.

    To me, it seems that the used DVD discs are not completely supported by ODD.
    It seems to be a compatibility issue.

    I had this problem in the past, but I could resolve it using another DVD from another manufacturer.
    I had a good experience with TDK DVD-R.
    Using the R disk I was able to burn the disc, but using the + R I received an error message.

    I have some real problems with a brand new satellite A300 1QD.
    After update of Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (Service Pack2) Vista unbootable. After the reboot of forst, it showed a message:

    Does not even work by pressing F8 during startup. I have a chance to start even a repair because there is no option that I could choose.

    After a few resets the A300 seems to have some problems.

    I have reset the BIOS by default Options, but it does not help.

    The A300 are one week. Am I allowed to remove a RAM bar without losing the warranty?

    I recognized, that sometimes, when I start the laptop, the power led is the lightning to the top, but the satellite logo in the left corner remains dark.

    The BIOS recognize the drive? Check in the BIOS.

    You can start in safe mode?
    If you go into the advanced boot menu, select Repair my computer, and then select Toshiba Recovery option. This procedure reinstalls the operating system.

    Well, for me it looks like you didn't uninstall the old display driver software. Before installing a newer version, you still need to delete the old version. So go in Control Panel > software. Select ATI display driver software and remove it. After restarting the laptop, you must clean the Windows system using CCleaner (Google is your friend to find it). Restart again and after that, you can install the latest version of page of Toshiba.
