Error \boot\bcd 0xc000000f and windows vista recovery status do not work

Well, I have HP Compaq Presario v3751AU and he could not start today and in \boot\bcd 0xc000000f error.

I try to put in the recovery disc, it gave me the message "" press any key to start from the CD or DVD. "" When I do this, all that appears is a black screen that says "Windows loading files...". "with a white loading bar in the background, but it is not actually boot from the disc then. the mouse pointer is displayed on the background green-vista, but there is nothing I can click, such as the 'next' button or even the language selection button. He continues to freeze on the vacuum-vista-green background.

can someone help me?

    Hi calus2404,

    1. How have you installed Windows Vista? Is it pre-installed?

    2. using Windows Vista CD or DVD?

If you can organize an another DVD of Windows Vista, then use it and check if you can load from disk.

If you can load, then try the steps in the link below to perform a system restore or startup repair and check to see if you can boot into normal mode.

    Hello texanbelle,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.

Repair Windows Vista Media Center files

You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:

    1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator

    2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges

    3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow

    4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »

    5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient).  This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions

    6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct

    7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors

    8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.

Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files.  If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

Try this and tell us if it helps with your question.

  • Vista recovery disk does not work

my recovery for a6057c disk will not work after that I used the NeoSmart
    recovery disk.

After logon to Vista I see that empty office, I can access the task
    Manager by CTRL - ALT_DEL.manager.

Windows and all my files are on drive D and my C is the drive has nothing on this subject now. I'd do it
I just want to make a disaster Recovery and
all over again with new factory. Does anyone have any ideas?

I now remove the prtition C on my drive.

Vista still labels the d drive, I have no C?

I found the answer on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Item number: 947288 primary partition drive letter designation is lost when you use WinRE to repair a GPT in Windows volume

The article is also for Vista.

Article ID: 223188 How to restore the drive letter of the system / boot in Windows

    Would do the same thing.

I took the article to use regedit to swap my C & D return records.

Now windows Vista starts OK. (All I had before was just an empty office).

I also received my HP Factory disaster recovery disks it looks they will work if I need.

  • Windows Vista HomePremuim OEM - Key not work

recently my computer sony laptop hard drive broke, so I change the new one and then install oem Windows Vista HomePremuim but after I can not active there. My oem key comes from the sony laptop.  He says "the product key you entered dose does not seem to be a valid windows vata" product key.    now, I can only 30 days trial. only 28 days left. need help please.

How did you install Vista?  If you have used a dvd recovery then it shouldn't require the entry of a product key.  If you are being invited to activate it, you can activate using the 25 character product key printed on the label at the bottom of the laptop or, in models later in the battery compartment.  Make sure that you do not enter a B for an 8, etc.  I suggest to use a magnifying glass and a bright light to make sure that you read the characters correctly.

If it's a standard dvd of Windows, where did find the product key?  If it's a retail dvd, you must use one on the label on the dvd case.

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra M5 came with the graphics card Intel or nVidia.

On laptops with nVidia graphics card, you can set a different option in nVidia Desktop Manager. for example allow several computers to office
You should find it in the control panel.

Unfortunately, I put t know exactly where the parameters are placed in the nVidia Manager because this notebook was shipped only with Windows XP but I'm sure that you will find.

    Good bye

  • Windows 7 recovery disk will not work!

OK, so I have a laptop Compaq Presario CQ61 with windows 7 64-bit, and it crashed a few weeks ago. I was told to fix it I would need to order the recovery of best2serve discs so I did and they arrived yesterday. Although earlier, I tried to grab the laptop and disks do not work, I set the BIOS to make the player load first, and everything that happens is a small comand window flashes up a gray screen is displayed with a chart of tape on it without any option for me too choose, and he stays on this screen forever.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you, Kris

    Hello

The reader at the link below must be compatible with your laptop and will offer a little more storage.  You might well be able to install a hard drive with a larger capacity, but this should be a choice course.

  • Windows vista disk seems to not work

I'm trying to reformat my computer, but when I try to boot from my 64 bit vista family drive premium without options appear. The disc spins, but it just shows the blue backscreen and does not run the usual options. I've only used the disc a couple of times before and it doesn't seem like scratches on it.

If the problem is with the disc itself and I need to download files, how can I get it to load in the start?

You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

There is no place to download a legal copy of the installtaion disc.  Here is Microsoft's policy on replacing lost or defective software: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246.  You can always borrow a disk for Installation of Vista on the same size of the bit ANYONE and use if, for installation with your product key.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 8 - recovery disks do not work with the new hard drive

My HDD had major errors of io only 1 month laptop warranty. I can't clone the original disc, its dead. I'm relatively new to Win8 but I bought the factory HP recovery disks for my model and have tried repeatedly to restore the OS win8 without success even after support technical advice ofHP and several friends with more experience than me (and I got an A + cert for more than a decade)-I have no idea why he keeps fails. I ordered another set of discs and tried another new hard drive. The log shows all the hardware in the way and a sysprep not found error at the end. What Miss me?

Problem solved! After another half-dozen recovery more attempts and lose more money on a new HP certified hard drive with the correct part number, I decided to give up Windows 8 and turn this laptop in a Hackintosh, I now on Mac OS X!  Microsoft has gone too far now, only not with the security of windows, instead of trying to make sure they get every penny they can from each PC running windows. His self defeat really. Those who cannot or do not want to pay the cost will simply find an alternative. I'm just tired of the headaches and of constantly having to spend my precious time proving that I have a valid OS license for every computer that I've updated or repair. Forcing people to buy the same item several times is aggravating and false. Sorry, just fan frustration.

  • C55-A-1N1 and Windows 8 - i5 satellite does not work

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop and it worked completely fine for the first two months. I used to close it using the power keys option and everything was fine. Then, three days ago he took extra long to turn off. Normally, it took about 2 minutes; This time he went from 1 hour and he was still trying to close.

I was frustrated and down the power button until the screen went black and the laptop exploded. The next day I turned it on and it loads well, however once he reached the page of Windows 8, the screen turns blue and as if it cools and returns back home page. This happens every three seconds it is impossible to open applications. I checked if the buttons are pressed and there aren't those who are and the laptop is fully charged. I have assignments due in very soon and depressed job is almost impossible at the moment.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
