Error code 10 - Optiarc DVD RW AD7561A ATA - that legacy can't star
The CD ROM has dissappeared off my computer. When I enter the currency manager and click for a solution online I don't seem to get an answer. When I try to update the driver, I get a message that the best possible driver is already installed. But still, I can't operate this unit.

Hello
Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/
Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.
Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
below.
Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.
Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
===============================
Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.
Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.
Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.
Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

You can probably find more info here and maybe even the exact registry for your CD/DVD settings
drive from someone with the same model.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)

devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

I get an error "unable to load XPCOM. I know that I can reinstall Firefox, but when I went to do that he erased all my favorites that I did a system restore. How to backup my bookmarks?
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all/
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop

Need help!
Recently bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 1525 using the Vista operating system.
The DVD + RW device worked but recently failed.
Device Manager found the driver who is Optiarc DVD +-RW AD 7580 A ATA Device
Device Manager is a (-) marker that tells me that the driver does not work.
I tried to update the driver but the message received is "already installed the latest driver.
I wanted to uninstall driver and rebooted the system.
On reboot, the system attempted to reinstall the driver for my CD ROM
I then received message 'disk device software was not successfully installed ".
Also received message "Windows cannot load the device of this material. Code 39 "
At the present time, my CD-ROM device does not work.
I would appreciate anyone who has a solution to this problem.
Thank you in advance.Have you recently installed a new burner software? Several of installs it burner can cause error 39. - Right click on the DeleteCDFilters.cmd file to your desktop, and then click run as administrator.
Note After running this script, all custom CD/DVD filter drivers installed programs maybe isn't able to use your CD/DVD until your reinstall these programs. If the script command solves the problem, you can restore your custom filter of CD/DVD drivers by double-clicking on the CDFiltersBackup.reg that the command script exports to your desktop.

Hello
What system do you use?
Also have you tried to write data on discs of different brands?
It might be possible that there is a problem with the disc incompatibility.
So if you haven't tried different brands in the past, I recommend to do this.
TDK are good and recommended use and test the R discs. Some users to also clean the laser lens. This helped also.
Hydrophilic cotton tip and liquid alcohol is a good tool to get the clean laser lens. -
Error code 0 x 80070070, what do I do to fix this?
Do you know when this problem started? Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started. Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.
If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc. Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html. You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD. To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation. Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit. Put the CD in the drive and reboot. When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.
If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.
If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking). Then we will check some of your system files:
Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run. It will scan and try to correct some of your system files. If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.
While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run. It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.
If it does not, then thanks for posting any repetitive error messages in the event viewer (start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer). Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html , as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884. Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work. You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs). If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.
I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem. If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else. Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.
Good luck!
Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears. Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white? These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else). Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips. If you need to get pilots to leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates). In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm. Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.
If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone). Here is the procedure:

I have a new Toshiba C650 laptop, and he says that I can not read the dvd on it except that I have installed a new driver. Is this true?
Hi Bill,
To be honest, this sounds ridiculous but if you get a message, I suppose it could be possible even if I find it incredible. Do you have it in a (local or online) retail store or Toshiba? By any chance did you upgrade from the DVD player when buying (where they may have accidentally neglected to update the drivers of the drive that was originally installed)?
As it is new, Toshiba should help you with this. Here's the contact page: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact&pf=true. Give them everything they need to prove that buy you it and it should be under warranty and then give them the message Word for Word, that you have found. They should be able to help you. They can, for some reason I don't know, you don't need to help or guide you through a new driver installation. I ask for a clear explanation of why this is necessary on a new computer and, if you are not satisfied with the response, ask them to consider that all the faulty computer and replace it. Even if they won't, he needs the get them less motivated to solve your problem.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
