Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I bought a new laptop with Windows 8 OS. I use it now for a month and I got an error twice, saying that:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
is there something I can do to fix this error? Help, please!
Here is my minidump file

Hello
The two attached DMP files are error checking DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) .
A kernel mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with an IRQL (Interrupt Request level) that was too high.
Usual causes are a device driver has a bug and tried to access invalid memory, the swap file
has been damaged or there is a memory problem.
It seems that we constantly see the following:
Cannot load the image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys, 0n2 error Win32
WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys
ERROR: Module load completed but symbols can be loaded for atikmdag.sys
Probably caused by: atikmdag.sys (atikmdag + 7a9fc4)
atikmdag.sys is a kernel-mode readers in the AMD / ATI suite and among his other odd jobs, seems to monitor the functionality of other drivers.
Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please give driver beta for your computer or video card to try if they are available.
1.
In your list of drivers loaded, dtsoftbus01.sys figure who is the driver for Daemon Tools. Daemon Tools is a very popular cause of BSOD in 7/8 base systems. Please uninstall Daemon Tools. Alternative imaging programs are: MagicISO, Power ISO, etc.
2.
If the above does not help with accidents, remove and replace Norton with built-in Windows Defender from Windows 8:

Windows 8 error driver_irql_not_less_or_equal
I've recently updated to Windows 8 windows 7 Ultimate edition. The operating system works perfectly well. For some reason any all the sudden today whenever I load a game like planet side 2 or Minecraft I get this error driver_irql_not_less_or_equal? How can I avoid this? My graphics card is up to date and he just started to happen randomly. I have day avast today. Would be the cause?
Hi robeo1081,
The minidump files showed DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) of errors in reference to the stop netio.sys.
The process that hangs in a large number of accidents is the AvastSvc.exe.
Your question is similar to what has been reported in the following thread;
I suggest to uninstall Avast and see if accidents solve.
Consider the alternative security software or simply use firewall and antivirus integrated Windows.

March 30, im getting this error on windows start.
When I start my notebook ' VAIO' logo comes with "Preparation auto repair. After 2-4 seconds 'circular loop treatment' pause for 1 sec & 'Blue screen' comes with

I had my backup of the C: & D: via Ubuntu live disk installed on USB key on a Portable HARD drive.
now, I just need to get into recovery mode.
When I press on "Assist-> recovery & hold ' and then it goes blue screen.
(1) im thinking to 'Safe Mode' start up. because if it will allow the startup I can uninstall the drivers of Intel rapid storage Tech.
Please tell how I can do it, because I can browse the live Windows by Ubuntu Pendrive files.
(2) 2nd is I can also navigate my "recovery Partition", so could you tell me how to use this 'partition data' to something to copy paste for USB...
My Recovery Partition to a folder 'sources' & also sources---> install.wim (9.05 GB)
folder 'sources' is total 17.9 GB in size.
If you (microsoft) can help me with the idea of 1st activation mode without fail to start, then it would be very very useful. Please, I beg you.

Original title: blue screen problem
I got a new toshiba laptop with windows 8 three weeks ago and he has recently begun a lot of give me a blue screen. The main mistakes were a driver power state failure or error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I thought it was because I had software anti computer virus, zonealarm and norton. So I uninstalled norton and the problems seemed to be stopped, because the computer collapsed in four days, however, it will be the laptop I take in College, if I want to make absolutely certain that all drivers and stuff are up-to-date. If possible I'd like transfer the files of dump here and I hope someone is watching and tell me if I have to correct all the drivers on my computer. Unfortunately I do not know how to access my computer crash dump files. So if someone could walk me through this process and look at the files I would be very happy.

You try to remove Kaspersky of the programs & features Panel first?
Not only do you have Kaspersky and Symantec, but I just noticed that you have Zone Alarm. Who has withdrawn as well.
Zone Alarm is often the cause of BSOD.

Check with your manufacturer for newer drivers video card (special forces), known issues and
other possible problems - check also the video card and game maker forums. It can even be
a problem created by the interaction of two pilots (rather than the usual cause), perhaps the
video driver and a swap file error and other causes work together to create the problem.==============================================================
Even if you have done some of these methods here is the complete troubleshooting tool while

programs may also cause this. Check the resolution of the problems and when you get to the pilot and sections tests memory refer to the generic methods in the next message and then returns to the resolution of problems
If necessary.BCCode: D1 0x000000D1
Cause
A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.
This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.
If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:
- The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
- The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
- The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

M8330f - Blue screen - error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I bought a used computer m8330f multimedia center with a quad core AMD 2.2 GHz processor, Windows 7, 64 bit. Operating system. When using my computer, I get a blue screen... DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error with a message on: tcpip.sys , and then it is in emptying mode. Sometimes I get the error in netio.sys so.
I read that some people suggest to delete the drivers and their reloading. I don't know how to do and where I want to get the drivers for it. Some say it's the network controller, need to install a new network adapter?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello myfirecomputer, usually Nvidia drivers will install on the current drivers.
The Nvidia download is an executable file, then simply click on the name of the file and it should run and install all the drivers that are included in the set of drivers.
