    Hey there,

I figured out that they changed the name in the BIOS for PC Portble, up to now, I have not found the tool (DMI) to get the fixed string...

Could someone be so kind to let me this software?

    Thank you in advance...

    Hello

It really seems like the laptop technician forgot to update the right information in the DMI!

I searched on the Toshiba site for useful info because this laptop seems to be designed for the American market only.
    I think I found a useful site;

    Check this box:
[How to eliminate the error message "Machine hurt" during the restoration of the image of the software factory: http://askiris.toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1010 7032xml & sliceId = & dialogid = 26604851 & stateId = 1% 200 %2 026606094]

But note; You should check whether the Uutility is compatible with your laptop. If this isn't the case, then contact the ASP in your country for an update!

    Good bye

  • A few Questions on the Qosmio G35-AV650 series

I have some questions that I would ask to my Qosmio G35-AV650.

    1: I've updated the BIOS to v1.4 (2005), to v3.3 (2007), to install Vista.
Vista does not work so I removed it - I guess that I need to update the drivers again.
In any case, I got my PC to normal - delete the partition allocated to Vista and reset the boot record.
However, there was something that happened to my pc. The model has been replaced by "Laptop".

My DVD DO NOT work for recovery. It says 'BAD COMPUTER'. IM wondering how it could have happened.
If anyone could shed some light on what might have changed the name of the template, do so.
The only thing I can think is the update of the BIOS. Any ideas?

2: my HARD drive crashed at 1 point of time before. In order to
avoid any loss of data, I have intertwined around hard drives and reinstalled XP on the secondary HARD drive.
However, this is somewhat troblesome. First of all, the Qosmio player no longer, because it is
the disk of HARD original 1. Secondly, if I did a reinstall on 1 HARD drive, it would remove the Qosmio Player?

Third, if I put the hard drives back to the initial placement and boot from HDD 2, HDD 1 IS NOT recognized by the PC.

It seems I have TO boot from HDD 1 for 2 HDD is picked up by windows.
Is there a way to test PC to start from 1 HARD disk then boot from the disk HARD 2, eventually recognize two hard disks?
Or is there a way to manually "load" both hard drives?

3: what would you recommend to do if Windows won't recognize the Bluetooth device. I know that his work.
I installed a Virtual Machine and installed the bluetooth in it. It is during the driver installation process
that the installation crashes with devices NOT picked up by the operating system. Any ideas? I can't use the recovery DVD trying to install
    the original drivers [see #1].

How can 4: if I'm using the standard Windows Xp CD, I load the Toshiba RAID drivers? The only thing I see
includes a floppy drive, which does not have the kaptop.

I know this is a long post :)
Thank you for your responses and reaing.

Man, these are some deep questions. Your laptop looks new, under warranty? If so, go back to Toshiba and make them understand the 'thing'. These things are problematic I know... it is a little hidden from any sale side isn't it.

If you want to put in Vista, just follow all the instructions in the Forum of Francisco - you can tell that's the one with the most comments. If you follow the messages from scratch, you will be able to get your business laptop.

Francisco is our leader of the sect. He's awesome. He saved us where Toshiba does not have. Welcome to the fraternity.

  • Qosmio G35-AV650 does not start after format

Okay, so I downgraded/upgraded my computer back to XP from 7 a month ago.
Yesterday, I went to the library for all my updates and whatnot that I neglected since the upgrade. When I turned on the computer in the library, it would not be loaded the office correctly and an error box open stating that it was impossible to recover the THotkey. It turns out that my feature key drivers took a dive. I've done everything I can to solve the problem. Nothing worked, I decided to reformat.

Early upward the dinosaur this afternoon when the format is finally finished, it would not fully boot screen where you are asked which language you want to use, what time format, all of these bases. I tried to reboot several times, finally tried safe mode, even to reformat again, nothing works.

Now, seeing as I was only reformat to XP in order to enter my card default sound drivers to see if they would work on 7 (the company that made my card was bought shortly before 7 was released and that they still need to make new drivers), I decided to say screw that it and any format the computer back to 7. When it loads everything from disk (disk? drive?), it goes to the screen asking what disk I want to install, it says that I have no disks on which I can install it.

I came across this problem before, the first time that I put 7 on the computer. Since I have two hard drives, it needs the RAID drivers that connect the two. I downloaded several different, all for Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV650 RAID drivers, but it detects all the drivers. The way I do it is to put on a flash drive and tell the computer to get them from there. I do everything the same way I did before, but nothing works at all. I tried to go into the BIOS settings, but I have no idea what I could do.

I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what I can do here, but I'm completely lost. Any ideas?

You use a generic Windows 7 disk? Or a Toshiba Win7 upgrade disk?

Basically, you need the drivers SATA F6 (INFs) on a USB Flash drive during the installation of Win7. The version of Vista should work fine in Win7.

You can change the RAID settings in the BIOS to "JBOD". First, make sure you back up important data.

    Hello

I guess the original recovery media can be ordered in US only. In any case, you can install your own operating system. All the drivers, tools and public services should be available on the support page American - http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp

    Check it out!

You can go to a command prompt (click Start, search cmd, then right click and select run as administrator.  Allow UAC).

If you can, then run sfc/scannow

If you can not try to boot into safe mode and run the same.  To access safe mode, restart your computer, but before windows begins to load, press F8.  When a boot menu appears, select Safe Mode.

  • Qosmio G35-AV650: how remove Vista Boot Manager and install XP

OK, I got the g35-av650 - US. I don't see any good American forum Toshiba, so I post here.
First of all, I must say I'm getting very frustrated.

1: I upgraded my BIOS to try to install windows vista. Vista installed, however, it works well. It must be driver problems. I deleted the partition that I allocated for Vista. Now, how the hell do I remove the screen/start menu in vista.
I want to get back my XP operating system selection screen.
I think it has to do with the boot record.

2: my bluetooth isn't all work more (don't ask me why...) After that I updated the BIOS to version 1.40 to the newest 3.30.

The recovery CD said I use the CD in the computer wrong? Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS/solve this problem, or bypass it.

Thanks for the responses, because they will be very appreciated.

    Hello

(1.) you want to reinstall XP on the HARD drive or you want to cancel only the vista Boot Manager.
Usually after reinstalling XP, the boot manager should disappear.

But I found these tips step by step in the internet:

-Start your computer in Windows XP.
-Make sure you have the image of Vista DVD emulated or in the DVD drive.
-Go to start and run. Type in e:\boot\bootsect.exe/nt52 ALL/force (without the quotation marks and replace e: with the letter of your Vista DVD).
-Restart the computer, and you notice that the selection of start menu disappeared.
-Format the partition/drive where you installed Vista.
-Remove the two (Boot.BAK and Bootsect.BAK) files on your file of root of drives XP (c), it was backup of your previous boot loader files, now is more useful.
-Optional: Restart to make sure it still works.
-Use your partition software to merge your partitions.

2.), I hope that you have used the BIOS from the page we Toshiba. However, the BIOS update should not has a bad influence on the functionality of BT. Try to download the latest driver for BT and install again.

  • error messages bad image

Have an older Dell Dimension E510 under XP SP3.  At the start we get successive 'BAD IMAGE' error merssages.  For example, one is for "Services.exe - bad Image".  We click on OK, and a few seconds later, another Bad Image error message appears.  At the time of starting ends, we counted 28 messages of bad Image, each of which we 'OK' to continue with start.

Then more bad Image error messages appear that we receive by e-mail, using IE, etc.

Just started a week before, but seems to be here to stay.  I think I need to reload the OS, but thought I'd get other opinions first.

There is some good advice from JoseIbarra in this thread. Follow it and post back with your results.

On another note, since you had problems before (ie: your last thread) resettlement may be the answer, as when you format it will wipe everything for a fresh start.

But maybe if the above link is for you, you can save yourself the time of relocation.

    Hello sheritaG,

Run The System File Checker utility:

To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search .
    2. Right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue
    3. To order invites, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc)

This analysis may take some time to complete. When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!
