Error message on scan

Just installed Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.5) on Macbook Pro connected wireless to the Photosmart C6380 all-in-one. Printer will not scan or command to the printer, or via Scan Pro application buttons. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software and checked its update via the HP Software Update application. An error message is displayed to indicate (unnecessarily) "sorry, an unknown error has occurred."

Any suggestions please.

From where you initially have the HP software?  He said it was compatible with 10.6?

Every time the scanning HP Doc says everything is OK, but as soon as I try to do an analysis of test, I get the error message "printer not found." I also tried this scanner with my McAfee virus firewall off the coast, and it still does not work. I have also identified it on McAfee as part of my network.

    I'm sorry that you can not scan with your HP Envy 5535, but I'm happy to help you!

    To get help, I'll need to know:

    1. If you use Windows or operating system Mac and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
    2. If the printer is connected, wireless, or USB.
    3. If the printer is capable of making copies of itself.
    4. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

    In the meantime, please try go through this guide to scanning. A "the computer is not responding" error message during scanning.

  • Error message when you try to scan

    When I try to scan on my HP HP 309 has, I get an error message "Cannot perform the analysis because another program has control of the HP imaging device."  I tried to restart the program, close all programs and restart the computer, and nothing seemed to work.  I run my computer on Windows 8.1.

    Any thoughts?

    I want to help you with this. I understand that you get a message stating "Scan cannot be performed because another program or computer uses the network device", and you've done some troubleshooting already.

    I suggest to use the following document to help you solve this problem. "Scan cannot be performed because another program or computer uses the network device" message on the computer in Windows XP and Vista when scanning a network.

    When you open the link, select Windows Vista, the recommended steps will apply to the 8.1 you have. Keep in mind the navigation will be different, but the solutions are the same.

  • All of a sudden I can't the plugin scan page opens. I get 'Plugin finding Service Error', regardless of how many times I try or wait. When I first opened it up yesterday, it was scanning, then it disappeared and I got the error message.

    I have opened the plugin scanning page several times before and did a few updated plugins recently, but yesterday I couldn't bring up the scan, I get "Plugin finding Service Error", who said "try again later". I think that what I've updated most recently was Flash (I think). No matter how many times I push him "try again" or close Firefox and the Web page, I still have the error and get nowhere!

    I open the HP Device Manager to do a scan. I accepted the parameters and the scanning started. But the part passing through the analysis, I stopped the scan that I realized that I wanted to change the resolution. I leave the Manager device and rebooted but when I did, I got to tell an error message:

    'Cannot perform the function you have requested because another program has control over ice dev'.

    I have nothing else open and so I can't work on what program has control over the printer.

    The Device Manager has not been updated for Lion and there is still no specific Lion software for your printer.

    So far, you have the choice of scanning with picture Capture or preview.  I'm sorry.

A couple of months, I have spent many hours (literally) with a HP technician (a couple of them!) and we couldn't do anything else than give an error message. New drivers do not help. Can you suggest something else? Thank you.

    Update! Shortly after this announcement (such as minutes), I saw an announcement on how to reset the scanner bar and that was the problem! I am now and scan and grateful for the greasy68 of the display. Feels so good to have my scanner back! Life is good.

    Relatively new LaserJet M127 gives me a "charging document" error message when you try to copy something that is clearly on the glass.  I tried to scan a document and it also gave me a message to load paper when I already had a loaded document.  It is fine impression of the MacBook, but will not copy.  He stopped abruptly.  I copied it several times before.  Any suggestions?

    Shortly after that I installed an update through Windows for my Brother multifunction printer, I could not scan documents to my printer wireless to my Toshiba laptop.  I got an error message saying "MFC-7860DW LAN is not found."  Yet the wireless connection between the printer and the router is fine, and I can print from my computer very well also.  I did this for a long time so I have something had happened recently.  The update was allegedly from brother.  I spoke with the brother support and they gave me a way to scan the computer using Windows Fax & scan, but I really need to be able to make it from the printer itself.

    I have reset the PC to a restore point before that I did the update of Windows, and I uninstalled and reinstalled the software of the printer 3 times, including the connection with the wireless system, all without effect.  When I check the Brother Installation Diagnostics file, it shows that the scanner driver has no installation and connection.  All the other drivers installed correctly.

    Any ideas how to install my scanner driver?  Thank you!

    Also, you can try to use HP Scana nd Capture since the HP AiO remote applications:

    Follow these steps to get the applications (if it is not already installed):

    1. Go to the Windows store
    2. Search for "HP AiO Remote" apps
    3. Install the apps.
    4. Apps should detect your wireless printer, depending on the applications, there is a function "Scan."
    5. Click the Scan and it will direct allows you to download apps "Scan and capture.
    6. After installation, you should be able to scan.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8600: Error Message: Scan in use - wait until the job is done

    Have used my scan function without problem since the purchase of machine and one year on Microsoft Windows 10.  Last week I did some scans - now this week when I try to use my scan function I get the following error message: Scanner is busy.  The scanner is currently in use.  Wait until your previous task is completed, and then try to scan the image.

    -There is no unfinished business and I can't find anywhere to clear the error or erase any task the scanner thinks he's working on.  Has anyone met and solved this problem?
