Error opening of PDF - fonts Korean encoding problem

We have a form that was created using Adobe LiveCycle ES4, which won't open in Adobe DC.  He reads the error: "error occurred during the processing of node xfa [0] form [0] .topmostSubform [0]."  20 text [0].  Cannot find the fonts appropriate for Korean encoding.

When you click ok to the error, the form opens, but is completely empty.

I can't find solutions (although I've seen the same position since a couple of years... with no answer).

Any help would be appreciated.  Is this error in Adobe DC or LiveCycle, or both?

Thank you!

Hi AEOAHS,

Install the language pack for Acrobat Reader DC (continuous track) Adobe - Adobe Reader: for Windows: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Font Pack (continuous) & then try to open the PDF form.

I would like to know if it works.

Kind regards
Nicos

  • Cannot open some pdf files by clicking on them, but can open in Adobe Reader 10.1.0.

When I click directly on some PDFs that have been saved in My Documents, I get an error message: "before you proceed you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the end user license agreement."  Yet I can open these files in Adobe Acrobat, they open easily.  This only occurred with the two credit card companies registered PDF files; My PDFs of Bank and other PDF documents can be opened without first opening Adobe Acrobat.  Is there some security block, I need to cancel or?  (I am the administrator of these files.)  I did a reinstall and repair, but this did not help.  (I use Adobe Reader 10.1.0 on Windows 7)

    Hello

You can try and turn the Mode protected in Adobe Reader 10.1.0. That should solve the problem.

You can do the same in:

1 launch the player and go in Edition > Preferences.

    2. in the General category, check the corresponding chekbox to "Activate the Safe_mode at startup"

    3. click Ok and close the player. This should allow to open a PDF file with no problems.

    Thank you

My computer has Windows 7 and Acrobat Reader DC.  When I open a PDF sent there are several fonts instead of one.  The only difference I can find is 'Properties - font - Arial - Type of the actual is of Type 1 fonts' instead of 'TrueType '.  If this is the problem, how can I change the Type 1 for TrueType, and if not, what could be the problem and the fix?

It cannot be resolved with Reader. Sounds like an issue that will be attached to the end of the creation of embedding fonts.

    Hi Charles,

It is specific to a particular file or all the files that you are trying to open, gives you the error.

How you open the same file using Preview on Mac.

    Help!

    Hello

This is known problem with Acrobat for several versions now, current fix from Adobe is just to update their software: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404597.html

The problem is with the data of application given erroneous instructions.
"The affected user has a folder Application Data redirected and so the path to the network that contains the Application data uses a UNC path that begins with \. "This UNC path causes Acrobat 9.0 and Adobe Reader 9.0 incorrectly analyzes the Application data path and give the error message.
A possible Solution would be to go into the registry. Left click type 'regedit' and right-click and run the program with "run as Administrator". Go to Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders and make sure see where pointing "AppData". If it is oriented towards 'data %UserProfile%/Application' change it to point to '% UserProfile%/AppData/Roaming '.

  • I get the same error message and cannot open a PDF file

I have a link to an application that I am trying to download and complete. By default the link my browser to open. what he does normally. However, this document was a mistake. He said that I need the latest version of Adobe. So I downloaded the application, open the PDF file in the app and get the same error message. Help!

    Hello

You see the following error message when you open the PDF document?

If so, it is a special type of PDF created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer form called "Dynamic XFA".

Acrobat Reader mobile apps (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support XFA forms.

Please download the PDF document on your Windows or Mac computer and open it with Acrobat Reader DC desktop version.

Please let us know if you have a different problem.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't open the PDF with Adobe Reader XI... get an error that "Adobe has stopped working" then it closes.  Is it a question of Adobe, Microsoft problem or security issue?

Since you talk about Microsoft, I guess you're on Windows.

Can you open Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].

  • Problem opening of PDF files with adobe

I can't get Adobe to open my pdf files. No internet or desktop.

I download fine. I have installed and reinstalled several times.

If I try to open it, it looks like it opens but closes immediately. I tried to open adobe, but nothing. A gray screen and that's it. I can't access the help button

    A few things to try...

    • Update to version 11.0.3 Reader
    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
