Error - Please insert a disc into the drive trying to open & H R Block at home software CD.

Original title: XP will not launch my H & R Block at home software CD.

I bought the & H R Block at home tax software to target and Windows XP will not launch the CD in a CD/DVD players.  I tried manually running the software, but whenever I get the response "Please insert a disk in the drive", even if the disk is in the drive.  I tried other CD and they work all including the H & R Block CD provided in the mail.  Any suggestions for ways I can manually launch the CD ROM?  I returned to the store and exchanged, and the second CD did the same thing.

  • Insert a disc in the drive \Device\Harddisk3\DR3?

have a vi with sub about 20 screws in his .llb that makes a fair bit of the interaction of the data base and data acquisition.

When it comes to 'entries preparation' sub vi in State "expt prep", if she is not simply close labview entirely, it gives 10 'Please insert a disc into the drive \Device\Harddisk3\DR3' errors in a row, then ends.  in fact some of the 10 are asking Harddisk4\DR4, but I still don't know what he's talking about.

very mysterious, that is if I delete as void / vi and replace it with artificial constants, it does the same thing.  I use breakpoints, step over and highlight the execution and cannot see what is causing the error, it's like there is a short circuit in the wiring itself (!).

  • "Please insert a disc into drive I" error message problem. Help, please!

I get the error message "Please insert a disc in the drive I" when I try to attach a drive external hard (in a case of hard disk) via a USB 2.0 to my Dell Dimension 8400 computer. I am running Windows XP Prorfessional.

When I attach an external hard drive that comes with its own enclosure as a Western Digital MyBook via the same cable USB 2.0 the following happens. Windows Explorer shows the new disks I and J. If I try to open the drive I have, I get the "Please insert a disc into drive I"message.» However, when I try to open the drive J I'm able to do it and see the files, in this case, the Western Digital MyBook. I can also open these files.

I searched the Internet for solutions to this problem. In some cases, the problem can be solved by renaming the drive letter, but this does not work in my case. Most of the sites I visited fail to provide a solution. Very many missions I've read on various sites, the problem seems to be related to error messages has Microsoft Windows. The solution would seem to have to disable this / these messages by changing the relevant parts of the registry. (See: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/logonuiexe-no-disk-there-is-no-disk-in-the-drive/7a158e14-6a56-4bfd-b1b5-796c3ccea3b0?page=2&tm=1341781513552, http://www.w7forums.com/please-insert-disc-into-drive-error-t11264p2.html, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281345)

Unfortunately, the information that I found are too vague and contradictory to me. Microsoft seems to suggest changing the value of ErrorMode in CurrentControlSet so that the user gets more no error message 'hard' (modification of the: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\ErrorMode value = 2). However, this suggestion for the backup of SQL Server databases. It also seems a bit drastic to turn off hardware error messages. In another post the suggestion is to delete upper and lower filters in the section of the registry that controls the hard drive. The problem here is that you may have to reload the software. Also, I'm afraid I'll mess up the registry.

I would be grateful to anyone who could tell me what parts of the need to register to edit and how to disable this message ' Please insert a disc in the drive I have. "

I suspect that the boxes of hard drive that does not open professional XP are somehow corrupt. Unfortunately, the error message keeps me from use any diagnostic software to examine the hard drives in these speakers. Hello

    Exactly what you do when you get the message "Please insert a disk in drive A;

Your cables might be backward. Some cables I've seen can be connected backwards, but normally there is a lack of female pin and/or a physical bar that stops you place the cable correctly. In case of doubt, all cables (that I saw) have an edge that is color which is the limit where pin 1 is. Your motherboard and the floppy drive (s) should also indicate what is pin 1 (sometimes with the number 1) or sometimes by an arrowhead. In addition, the end of the cable with the twist must be connected on the floppy drive.

As you have obviously been disconnecting and reconnecting the cable, you should check for twisted on the Board and the drive pins.

The device does not show in disk management, but should appear in the Device Manager.

Don't you hear the drive trying to search the diskette?

    Are your formatted diskettes?

Have you tried a new pre-formatted floppy?

I do not recommend people to use diskettes these days. The reasons include

    • reliability
    • capacity
    • convenience

Also, although I did not buy the disks for centuries, I wouldn't be surprised to see that memory sticks are cheaper than a box of diskettes and hold much more data.

I would say get a memory stick and use it instead of floppy disks.

    Tricky

  • Get "there is no disk in the drive has it please don't insert a diskette into the drive device drive hard/dr3/dr4 etc etc" error after installing the Bitdefender program.

There is no disc in the drive please insert a disk into the drive device drive hard/dr3/dr4 etc etc.

    Original title: coordinator.exe no disc

I got this message after installing BitDefender antivirus.
It turned out to be partly because of WinPatrol - who had not been uninstalled.
And the program uninstal delete his entry autostart nor its program file.
Which has supported, manually, the end of the message...
But I guess that's not specific to WinPatrol, which is an excellent monitor if it is not in conflict with the antivirus.  (It worked well alongside Avast.)

    Hi Robert,.

Thanks for the screenshot of your system information.

As you can see in the screenshot, on the right side, the Description indicates that this is a CD-ROM drive, it means that it's a player-CD (Read Only Memory) which can only read the discs, but cannot write data to the disk. You may need to replace it with a CD/DVD burner drive for read/write drives.

Hope this information is useful. If you have any additional questions on the issue, please post back, we will be happy to help you.

I tried to change the drive letter from device in disk management, but it still does not work... I really need to recover the files on this USB... Help, please

    Hello

Sounds like you have a problematic usb device, have you tried to go to Device Manager and look for the status of the usb you connected? It has a yellow sign? try to use the usb key in a different system, if it fails, you will need to go and download a 3rd party software and format your USB drive and then try to use recovery software in this case your usb will work but the files have 50 / 50 percent chances of recovering.
