  Anyone know where I can download first Elements 7 trial? My school is using Elements 7 first, and I'm afraid I'll have some compatibility issues with items 9 and 7.

  This could be tough, as pre 7 is now two years and two versions of old, I think the trial downloads are completed for a long time.

  Also don't forget, any project in any version of 'trial' is going to be a watermark, so you might not be happy with the results. This FAQ entry will tell you more about the watermark.

  Good luck, and I hope that someone else could have a URL for download, but I would not hold my breath, because of the age of this version.

• Error message in first Elements 7

  I used first Elements 7 successfully for some time. I recently got a new Windows 7 laptop and loaded PREL 7 on it. When I start a new project in the ORGANIZATION section, when I go to add multimedia elements, I select as I did before a .mp4 file but after a short while I get an error message saying "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed".  I have the latest version of Quicktime installed, but I am now lost to learn how to get on it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

  It is very likely that your new computer doesn't have a CODEC, one did. In the case of H.264, here are three of the most popular: Apple, MainConcept and lead. With later versions of Apple's QT, their H.264 player must be installed. Many users have found that they get the best results of lead or MainConcept, but it's generally export.

  If you have a recent version of the QT player, I uninstall and then re-install, because it may well be that the H.264 CODEC is not correctly installed. Or we could download and install the cable, or the version of MainConcept.

  When my mother bought his computer, it came with first Elements 8. Now I want that first items on my computer, so I plan on deactivate the license on his computer (with their permission of course), download first on my Mac and the use of this license. • Someone downloaded first elements 9 MacContent1 with success?

  I downloaded the demo on my iMac, and from the beginning as a test I was offered the option to download additional content for the Mac.  I selected the 'yes' and was taken to the next page:

  In the box under MAC OS, I clicked on the download link now that is supposed to be 3.66 GB.  However, the link points to the file .dmg for 9 first and no to the 'content '.

  Anyone know the correct link for the first elements 9 Content1 file?

  If you have a problem downloading (for example, you see an error page, or you're offered an incorrect version), you probably not followed all the 7 steps.  as a general rule, do not carefully follow steps 1, 2 or 3 is the problem, but also, your browser must allow cookies so that (a setting of restrictive browser) is another potential source of problems.

  I downloaded Adobe Download Assistant and the trial of 11 items first, but whenever I try to install it appears an error 1935 and it restores. I updated windows, apple QuickTime, run a disk cleanup, run a defrag and disabled my anti-virus tool, but the same thing happens still.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
