• Setting max server edition standard oracle in parallel

  I'm working on the standard edition of oracle database Oracle 11 g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64 bit Production. Database was slowly by analysis found this parallel_max_servers parameter has a value of 500, and when we change this value by 10, database began to run correctly. But as I know parallel settings are not valid for standard edition oracle, as oracle will not support this... .so how this happen.

  Please let me know if this setting that we can use in the standard edition.

  You can set this parameter by itself, but it won't do anything: there will be no parallel server launched, no running in parallel. I don't think that change was the reason why the performance of your DB has changed.

  I am relatively new to the oracle application servers and forms.
  
  In my view, it is possible to upgrade the database to 11g but let application servers and forms on 10g. I can't find it mentioned explicitly in documentation, but she seems to be involved.
  
  Someone at - it encountered problems with the database running on 11 g and leaving forms, application, the interfaces running on 10 g servers.

  Yes.

  Oracle XE comes with Apex as an administrator and developer web interfaces. The apex is web enabled the PL/SQL code. And such a code heavily used package HTP.

  I installed Oracle RAC on RHEL 6.4 11.2.0.3. While installing an Oracle database, I chose the Standard edition, but after when logged into SQL Prompt, he showed me the 'Enterprise Edition'. I'm really confused and really not get what was not in it.

  You can grep the db_InstallType of globalvariables.xml to find grid or Database edition binary as shown in the example below.

• What editions of Oracle 11 g R2 database support Fusion Middleware?

  I would like to create a database instance (s) and install a development environment (which will include reports like APEX and JDeveloper 11 g and Oracle 11 g), on my laptop. The laptop has a processor I5-2520. The establishment is for learning purposes, and I'm not afraid to have bought a license, if it is necessary. My laptop can be installed with an appropriate operating system, if one is suggested. There are currently, Windows 7 Professional 64.
  
  My questions are:
  
  (1) can be set on my laptop a development environment?
  (2) what editions of Oracle 11 g R2 (SE1, SE, EE, EP, XE) database to support Fusion Middleware for the development tools listed above?
  (3) does anyone know of a document detailing the steps of the installation of the DB to the installation of the tools of development as well as the configuration steps?
  
  Just need a point in the right direction. Any input would be welcome.

• Oracle Database Express Edition used in a stand-alone database

  I have developed databases for years in access. I had a lot of people want me to databases for them. I don't want to make databases in access and then have to worry about sending a database to a different State and then find out that the user has a different version of access installed and it does not work properly.
  
  Can I use Oracle database Express edition to create a database with a front end that I can send to others and they can install on their computer and run it? Or do need to install the full Oracle Express? In other words, is there like a version of the Runtime?

  Listener is a specific node resource, so you should have 1 single earphone (ranging from the upper version of DB House) on a server and it will be.

  I need help, whether the following configuration is valid?
  
  Oracle Database Standard Edition one Oracle Diagnostics and Tuning Pack
  
  The reason I ask, it is possible to buy the Tuning Pack and the Oracle Diagnostics Pack online (he does not say it is limited to the company on the product description) and my manager wants to use it with the Standard edition.   Not necessarily; in fact, you can run the Oracle database commands using pass (local) connections. You would of course be connected to the operating system where it is installed your Oracle database to establish local connections without using tnsnames.
