ESX3.5 restore and update "dish"

Hello friends
I have 5 servers and cluster HA ESX3.5 U5 and HP storage VMotion for the 8 data store. They were created delta VM files and the 'flat' file apparently was 2 datastore... restart the virtual machine does not start and the error did not find the file... I did copy the entire VM folder by 3 move the data store 'flat' file for the data store 3, removing the deltas in 3 data store, but the equipment is obsolete initialize in time... The Delta of the original I have against them, but how or what can I do for Delta updated on computer data and virtual. Thank you.

I did not use VCB for years, so I can't say for sure, but I do not remember that it creates another .vmx file.

  • Restore and update Windows

When you use the windows restore and restore your PC to an earlier date... Windows Update (I put to download, but let me decide what updates to install) offer again updates have been installed after the date of your restore point.  You can see these updates in Windows Hostory.

Are these updates of window offered because they are installed is no longer even if they appear in the story and you have to click on install, or, they are still installed, even if her restoration before be offered and not deleted when restoring to an earlier date... and you select install you are simply overwrite the same update?

The view update history list may differ from the list of installed updates. When you do a system restore in Windows 7, updates that have been kidnapped by a specific restore point still appear in the history view update but do not appear in the installed updates. It will be offered by Windows Update and then appears twice as successfully installed and show different installation dates.
The list displayed when you click on the link to view update history in a file named DataStore.edb.
This file can become very large, but can be removed if one chooses to do.
My system 7 it shows currently beyond 25 MB and my XP system it shows more than 50 MB. As you have discovered, it is not always accurate as to what updates are installed.

As an experience, that I moved to trash, did a scan for updates, and a new was created. Since no new updates have been detected, downloaded, or installed, when I clicked on the link to the history of update of view he said that updates had never been installed. The list of installed updates begged differ and showed all the updates installed.
Then I did a system restore, a copy of DataStore.edb has been restored to its original location, but the view update history list said that no update was already installed. The installed updates list remained the same and no updates were offered as none had actually been removed.

  • iPhone 4 will not restore or update

    Hello

I just pulled out my old iPhone 4 that I haven't used for probably a year and a half. My iPhone 5 c died on me randomly and I set up an appointment to get it fixed, but until now, I need to access some applications I can download on my 4.

Surprisingly, the battery is still able to be charged and the phone finally woke up from his sleep. Then I tried to connect to my WiFi, but none of the wi - fi access points appeared in the list, and the upper left corner of my screen went on to say "search". I tried to restart the phone, which has proved to be a heck of a lot of trouble because it would show the logo of apple on the screen for so long each time. I finally went to bed and tried to sleep, but of course to get up to ten minutes later and the phone was finally facing upwards. Same problem of wi - fi. So I thought I would try to update.

It comes as I had before he told me "this phone could not be updated." and then asked me if I wanted to try the update again, or to restore and update, I tried the update again, just in case. That did not work. So I tried to restore twice (and to update because apparently that was required to restore) and he said "this phone could not be restored." According to me, it gave me an error number (16) and iirc the update error was (17).

    Can someone please?

During my minutes awake eagerly hoping that it works, I realized I should probably keep my 4, loaded and ready just in case my 5 c dies never again, because my Apple Care runs in June and I will probably not be able to pay a 6 until the 7 came out. Maybe even the 8.

If I am able to solve this problem and wi - fi still does not work, I'll probably put it in the fridge (that my Iphone 4 32 GB Black can't find any wifi network) because obviously my phone has been reset a dozen times now and my wi - fi works with everything else is probably not the modem.

I found the answer here: cannot restore my Iphone 4 after an update, Please HELP!

"I was able to fix this by simply changing the usb ports..."

Has worked for me, my phone has restored himself. Now is the time to try the hack of refrigerator.

Edit: so bad, I just went more near my modem (right next to her instead of the room above) and he acknowledged the connection. Hooray!

  • 32-bit Vista, System Restore and windows update are suspended.

This problem started happening almost two months ago. When I turn off computer and windows update tells me that it is updated, I leave. Ive come back hours later to see that my computer never updated and turns off. Ive tried click on windows update to update while I was connected and it still crashes just forever. Today, I think I discovered perhaps the underlying problem. Finally, I got fed up and decided to do a system restore, after hours of research and try all kinds of solutions on these forums (none worked). So now he is suspended from the system restore. Suspicious to me that when the windows update crashes is on the screen where it says create restore point.

    Hello

You should go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest network drivers wifi and card.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT after each driver.

Maybe the other pilots. software and updates to the BIOS, you can get there.

Control Panel - Device Manager - double-click on a device and check the version.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    ipconfig/flushdns

  • critical error after system restore and windows updates

I cleaned up my old computer and did a system restore.  Subsequently, I have install windows to perform automatic updates.  The computer detected 37 windows updates and install them.  After a successful windows install update, the computer said I had to reboot so I did.  Now the computer tries to start but then comes a blue screen with a bunch of text and then said: critical error.  I tried to do a system restore, and when I get to the part, he begins to restore and gets to 13% and then says critical error and I have tried to try again, but nothing happens.  Stuck... Please advise.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a repair system restore / boot:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

  • After restoring factory and updates for Windows 7, the system now asks passwords

Recently had to do a factory restore on a toshiba laptop with windows 7 preinstalled top. has restarted the machine once he had comepleted and now it says Admin profile is locked and my username and password do not work

1 - password was never set on the user profile. (Yes it may have been stupid not to do that for security, but that a person uses the laptop)

2nd why admin profile has been locked?

3rd - without having a password to disk or save it on a USB key, how can I get around this?

4th - also why Microsoft charges to ask questions and get support on their own products?

    * original title - Windows 7 - had to factory restore after updating to windows 7. now, cannot connect to admin or normal user logon. said needs password. PASSWORDS were never defined for this? Please advise *.

    no disc to try this.

Ive managed to get it to load the office by changing the settings via safe mode, but with a full restore (some missing drivers, IE the sound card), it always seems to be filled with questions. It runs terribly slow now and still doesn't let me do half of what I need to do to restore its former glory.

at the present time, this will make a nice door stop or decoration of the table such that it cannot serve to something else other than to gather dust.

does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem that began after I installed the latest update of windows 7, 2 days ago.

    Try this:

To access the system recovery environment in Windows 7, simply start your PC, just before the system loads the Windows operating system. Press the [F8] key function 8 on your keyboard which will launch the menu Advanced Boot Options. You will see a new option "Repair your computer", select this option and press 'Enter' on your keyboard.

This will allow you to start system recovery environment and access to the same tools.

    Mobile: http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/20/improved-recovery-options-in-windows-7/

  • Even in Safe Mode, minimize, restore and close is missing, even if the functions remain, and a dialog box now appears at the opening of the FF.

Since I installed the latest update of Firefox, reduce it, restore, and close are missing visually, even if their functions are always present.

I also started to have one of these dialog boxes asking whether or not I'd like to allow a program to make changes to my PC when I open Firefox.

I could fix this apparently either by way of turn disable the compatibility mode setting, or by rebooting completely.

Then, Firefox logo disappeared from the icon for a while, being replaced by the default Windows system image which is displayed under the icon of unspecified files.

I do not know whether or not the uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player and restart had something to do with this corrected, but at some point, she is back to normal.

  • Portege Z830 - restoration and reconstruction

I have a Portege Z830 who plays up!.

I tried to load on the main drivers of function and a few other utilities toshiba to get the lit keyboard, IE helps high and low BRIGHTNESS keys. It did not work.

Since then, my laptop takes centuries start, I can't use windows update, it crashes and he asks me my password but I can not enter as it crashes again.
If I use windows troubleshooting tool, which weighs too much. And internet Explorer within the win8.1 does not even the bbc.

I'm close enough to think that I have to do a full rebuild.

My challenge is that it is installed with Windows 7 and I have upgraded to windows 8 and 8.1.

    My questions are:
    1. everyone knows what precedes and is there quick ways to solve the above problems.
    2. What is the best way to rebuild my laptop, I have to go back to windows 7 and then upgrade to windows 8 again?

Ideas gratefully received, I'm ok, reconstruction not eager not to there because it takes forever to backup and restore, and I must be missing something. But I think its necessary.

As far as I know that the Portege or Satellite Z830 series was not supported to win 8.1 by Toshiba because he did not appear in the Windows 8.1 compatibility matrix.

This means also to win 8.1 drivers or software for this series isn't available and not downloadable. This could be the reason why you n t get some special features for laptop.

From my point of view of a few you might try to fix the Win 8.1 preinstalled using the repair feature s own system. If this doesn t help, I'm afraid, you need to restore the system of m.

Are you what is the best way to rebuild the laptop?
Well, it depends on the operating system.

The Portege Z830 was pre-installed with Win 7. In this case the use of the Toshiba recovery disc install Win 7 again.
If you want to reuse 8.1 Win, you have two choices: either you would update the Win 7 system-> 8-> 8.1 Win Win
Or you buy the Win 8.1 Microsoft license and install own 8.1 win on this laptop.

But as I said above: the drivers Win 8.1 and the software isn't available for this model

  • Is it possible to reset the date of the last virus and update the spyware definitions in XP?

I have xpsp3.  I was looking at my calendar to find out what day of the week, an event that happens in November, and unfortunately I forgot to go back to the date of the day before I have updated the definitions of viruses and spyware on MSE.  Now, MSE think my latest definitions of viruses and spyware are obsolete, because they were supposed to be updated three months from now.  So my question is: is it possible to reset the date of the last virus and update the spyware definitions in XP?

Correct the date on your computer. Remove the antivirus/malware product and reinstall.

    -OR-

To restore before the update, use the system restore. Make sure the date is correct. Update.
