  I recently changed the ADSL broadband cable. So it took to move my modem to the other side of the room where my cable connection. When I got the computer, modem, ADSL modem and the TC were a few feet from each other. However - now I have a wireless connection between my mac and the gateway Max Telstra modem and works very well. However, the TC has a yellow light hard now and does not connect to the internet.   There are two ways to deal with the problem.

  You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

  You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

  Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

  Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

  Every Mac should have at least 1 backup HD dedicated. When it comes to backup, it is wise to also have redundant backups because too backups fail! I have 3 Mac (iMac, Mac Mini & MacBook Air), each has 2 HD attached for redundant backups. Although I know that it is more expensive that you wanted to hear, it gives a pretty good backup level. It would be extremely rare to lose the primary storage and two backups, but I lost the primary and a backup at least 2 times!

  In my case, I use Time Machine and SuperDuper as my backup solutions and also to use OWC (www.macsales.com) as my EHD.

  Buy an external USB disk for backup on.  Backup to the same disk hard physics is not a backup, if the hard drive dies, you lose your original and all backups.
