• How can I turn off the PC Lr6 died without phone support?

  Last year my Windows 7 Desktop died and was replaced by a model 10 Windows on which 6 Lightroom is properly installed and working.  No problem on this PC.

  However, Lr6 was also installed on a Windows 7 laptop that has been showed signs of great age (like me) and has been replaced by Windows 10 laptop a few months previously (woman says: I'm next!).  I need to disable Lr6 on the old laptop but Lr6 not start over on this machine, it becomes unresponsive while the splash screen is still displayed.

  There must be a link somewhere that I missed, or considered non-relevant.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

• Impossible to restore the catalog LR6

  I am running LR6 on PC. I accidentally deleted my current catalog, as well as the .lrcat files that allow me to open/reinstall my catalog. I seem to have backup catalogs, but when I try to open them to restore, Lr tells me "no element not corresponding to your research." The files in my folder LR are: backups, Preview.lrdata LR catalog, Smart Catalog Previews.lrdata LR, LR catalog.lrcat - journal and LR 5 catalog.lrcat.lock. There is a .zip file in the backups folder, but when I try to extract it, a window pops up that says "LR cannot use the datalog named lightroom Catalog.lrcat because it is not writable and cannot be opened." Could I have a few master files that are gone now I can't restore? I have 2-3 years of imports that I can't find, so any help is appreciated.

  .lrcat-journal is only a temporary file which contains some information editing, but usually only existing with an accompaniment. LOCK file. It can be removed safely.

  catalog previews.lrdat may also be deleted as LR will be re - build previews automatically.

  If your catalog of work is still on the desktop, it can be moved back in the original location, which could be - C:\My Pictures/Lightroom /

• What's LR6.1 & LR6.3 compatible with each other?

  I teach Lightroom. My classroom work stations are running LR6.1. School upgrades the software between neighborhoods, so let's use LR6.1 for the rest of the class.

  If I upgrade my Lightroom at home at LR6.3, which will cause problems with the catalog that I use in class? The catalog is on an external drive. I want to be able to work on it at home and in the classroom.

  I and running LR6 PS CC on a new MacPro with 16 GB of RAM.  My LR catalog is running on a matrix of RAID 1 external CalDigit Thunderbolt 2.  I've never had a problem with this Setup.  Recently upgraded to LR6 / PS CC 2015.

  
  

  During the labour day, I went on vacation and when I get back I loaded 277 images from my Nikon D810 out of my 64 GB SD SanDisk SDXC card in my LR 6 CC 2015 catalog.

  
  

  The next day, I tried to load the images on another machine from the SD card and received a message that card data has been altered. She also could no longer be read by my D810.

• Smart playlist does not correctly synchronize with the iPhone

  I have a list of smart playlist in iTunes on my Macbook chooses 200 songs in my library based on 'least recently played', only checked in the songs, live update. My iPhone is updated via iTunes sync (no iCloud, Apple game, etc.). If I connect my iPhone and view its contents on my Macbook, the reading list "on my iPhone" seems to be the same as for the Macbook. However, when I look at the playlist on the iPhone itself, lack many of the songs in the playlist. They are on the iPhone in the song list, but not on the reading list.

  I tried to create a new list of smart playlist with the same criteria... same problem.

  I tried to uncheck 'Music' of criteria for iPhone sync (by removing all the music in the phone), then adding back again... same problem.

  I created a second smart playlist on my Macbook, which has selected songs using the criteria that they be on the first list of reading ("playlist is equal to [playlist name]"). I chose the second selection to sync to my iPhone. The songs missing from the 1st reading on the iPhone list appear on the 2nd reading on the iPhone list! So the bug seems to be something to do with the 1st playlist selecting songs from the play date function library and iPhone accept not for the determination of the Macbook which happens on the playlist.

  It's really weird that the contents of the iPhone shown on the Macbook is not the same as what was on the iPhone. Must I deduce that the contents of the iPhone shows which is assumed to be on the iPhone and not information from the unit itself?

  I use iTunes 12.4.3.1.

  Update: I tried to sync the playlist to my old Nano, and all the songs are there. So it doesn't seem to be an iPhone / iOS / music application.

• Palm Pre constantly goes Offline webOS 1.3.5.1 called Sprint, cannot solve

  I use this phone since September 2009 and have not had this problem before. Last week when I updated for webOS 1.3.5.1, my phone constantly goes offline (top right corner it says "Phone off line"). It's very annoying because my calls back goes straight to voicemail and I can't text or surf the web when disconnected. I'm losing business from clients.

  At first, I thought maybe Sprint a signal outtage questions (due to cold front?), so I waited a few days and I'm still having the same problem.

  I called Sprint and they have tried to reset my connection and then asked me to stop and remove the battery for 3 seconds. I did it and I'm still going through the same problem. I called Sprint again and they told me to take my phone to the nearest Sprint Store to get a diagnosis. It is such a waste of time. Everybody runs into this same problem?

  If anything, I'll just buy another phone (never a Palm again)

  I've only had problems with this phone:

  -Memory leaks/major lag

  -When I try to close an application by dragging it to the top, he comes back down

  -When I only have 2 cards and try to open another, he said that too many cards open. I close all the cards and open just this one alone, and he says the same thing. I have to restart the phone, because everything works super slow

  Unfortunately, you just need to start disabling the services until understand you that one hangs luna.  I began by killing the accounts of instant messaging, calendar, contacts and finally struck by e-mail when he stopped with the stupid phone offline behavior.  Pretty well, I knew it was e-mail, but wanted to exclude anything else causing her grief.  Pretty sad, the device cannot handle 500 emails in the affirmative, but I think that I have even more than that in my Inbox and it works.

• Mode under Windows 7 on T400 XP, virtualization CPU not activated (but is it really) error

  I installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on my T400 this week. I'm trying to get the XP VM mode to run because the VPN for work are not yet compatible with Windows 7. When you use the tool to check the compatibility of the T400 with new Microsoft's virtual machine software it says that hardware virtualization is not enabled. According to microsofts help page which means that the laptop is compatible but the CPU virtualization must be enabled in the bios. I followed the instructions to enable it, but there was no change. I went into the bios to check & of course, it's on. I installed XP mode vm & VM software, but that he would not be executed indicating the problem above.

  Everybody run in this or know how fix/get around it?

  I found the answer in another forum. Apparently just restart is not enough to make the switch is functioning properly. The computer must be stopped & left for a few seconds, then started for each change in CPU virtualization to apply.

  So, I disabled it again. It off for a few seconds. Re-enabled, disabled for a few seconds. Then he worked after windows starts.

  My firmware on my devices is 5.1.4.5 (I think that the firmware in the screenshot above is the PoE controller firmware).

  I experience this twice on the PC7000 series.  The only resolution is to RMA the switch.  The issue is that PoE controller disconnects with no way to get it back.  How solve this with TAC should run the following command:

  If you see a firmware version number as 4.0.1.2 controller is very good, if you see request timeout, then the switch must be that would be RMA.

  I just bought my mom a new computer with Windows 7.  Apparently, the printer Lexmark (Z735) she will not work with Windows 7.  I went to the Lexmark website and they suggested that I use the Vista driver.  I tried this and nothing seems to work.  Everybody run in a similar situation who can help me to get the printer working?

  In any case hope following will help:
  (1) following link is "compatibility list (all the hardware/software) from Microsoft:

  See paste below:
  (2) you can choose either 32/64 bit for download.
  (3) after download (suggest recording "dektop" first, for easy access, you can file later)
  all 4 programs) stop, unplug printer.
  (5) run/start program (exe file) and load more theatre.
  (6) IF the above does not work, close all new programs, unplug the printer and THEN uninstall all Lexmark software, the best way is to:

• Lightroom crash on launch, Windows 10 6.

  I upgraded my LR5 LR6 (not CC).

  When I run LR6, I see something, but the screen in the average stay (the one with all the people who developed the program) and he never disappear.

  If I click somewhere the software tell me it does not work (adode lightroom not responding)

  LR5 still works OK.

  You have received the wrong way - the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file is inside this folder:

  \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferencesyour usernameC:\Users\

  Open the file in a text editor such as Notepad.

  Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true,- change that to useAutoBahn = false,

  Save and close the file. Now, try to start Lightroom.

  

  If this does not work, try to delete the preferences file.

  You don't need to uninstall LR5 - the problem is most likely has to do with the GPU and LR6.

  I also see that you are not running the latest version of LR, you must upgrade to version 6.3.

• Cannot open 6 Lightroom without creative cloud

  I upgraded from Lightroom 4.3 to Lightroom 6 (via a software download from Amazon) a few months ago.  Somewhere in this process apparently I also signed up for a free trial of creative cloud.  Now I can't open Lightroom 6 unless the creative cloud is running.  And sometimes CC does not open (don't stop trying to load) or it asks me to do an update.  Can't just dump CC and run LR6 without it?  Whenever I want to download photos from my camera that I have to go through this huge hassle or simply use LR 4.3 which charge very well.

  I would say that you can uninstall creative cloud and also if you open Lightroom and check the version of it, and he said Lr CC 2015.1
