Exact time on incoming emails.

How can I get time on incoming emails at the same time I have on my computer the daylight Standard time?

Asaunders Hey,

What program do you use to check your emails?

To change the time zone in the incoming emails, you must change the time zone of your e-mail account.

  • received email does not display the exact time

My computer is a Microsoft windows XP version 2002.  I use Enternet Explorer Windows to my email.  The problem I have is when I get e-mail, time showing when it was sent is not the exact time.  This happens on all the emails that I receive.  For example, if I received and email this morning the date would be today, but the time to show it was sent at 14:45.  I tried to go to the toolbar to adjust the date/time.  Date and time are correct on my computer.  I don't know where else to look at in order to remedy the situation.  Unfortunately, I only have basic info when it comes to solve a problem on my pc.

    Hello pinnaclelil,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

    ·         Is - this problem within an application on your system (outlook, outlook express, etc.), or a web-based E-mail (hotmail, gmail, etc.)?

o If you use web-based e-mail, go to the options in your account to check your time zone settings, otherwise follow the steps below.

    ·         This problem occurs with all received mail, or just a sender?

o If it is a question of a sender:

§ The sender to verify the time and time zone on the system settings.

o If there is a problem with all the mail receipts.

First, § lets go ahead and check your settings again.

§ Double-click on the time located in the taskbar. Check your time and date to ensure that they are configured correctly.

§ Click the time zone tab. Make sure you have your correct time zone selected.

    § Click OK.

§ Then, the mail time server is set incorrectly. In this case, you will need to take a look on the headers of messages in order to determine if this is the case. If it is established that the mail server is configured incorrectly, you must contact the owner of the mail server to correctly set it up.

    Hope this helps

  • not colors that should be in the text in my incoming emails

I have a new computer and after it is up and running, I found that my incoming emails of friends who send often part of their mail highlighted in colors now appear to me in black only. I activated in the color settings. They said things like, "this sentence is in red" and it appears that black for me. A solution that works would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to ask.

You have View/AppMenu/Message body as the value HTML Original, and "Allow content to choose their own colors" checked in AppMenu/Options/Options/display/set in shape/color?

    Don

By clicking on a column header, which will be the primary sort column. Clicking the same header again will reverse the sort order. If you want to sort by date, click the DATE labeled header. Click on DATE for reverse sorting.

    Hi oldcdr,

I understand that you are having problems with your email accounts on your Mac, and you feel that this may be due to a migration of another service. Here is an article that links to several troubleshooting steps that may help you in this regard:

Due to the nature of the issue you describe, I suggest that you try to remove your e-mail accounts, and then adding them back to the e-mail program by using the correct credentials and access information. Thanks for being a part of the communities of Apple Support!

  • Time Capsule restore emails?

My Time Capsule restore emails to "Mail" to an exchange account either Office 365?

Your emails are always stored in the Exchange? Or did you download email and then delete them?

You shouldn't have to recover from TM if the mails are stored in exchange.

Mail is a little tricky. You cannot recover individual emails... you must retrieve the entire library.

Read the Pondini which is a bit outdated... I assume that you run El Capo... most of the people having mail issues are...

    http://pondini.org/TM/15m.html

Part of what Pondini is probably obsolete... but the basic method is real... However if you are having problems I think you better post in the Apple applications section in order to get more specific help.

You cannot load missing e-mails directly from the old library to a new... but you should be able to export and import.

But your emails may still stored on the exchange server account if I understand you correctly.

    Error 0x800CCC0F

I still have a problem with the transfer of incoming emails
BT Yahoo email to Outlook Express. As a test, I removed the McAfee Firewall from the BT NetProtect Plus security package, but it has no effect.  I can view new emails and action on BT Yahoo mail but not OE. I can send emails in OE.
The error code is as above and it shows the following error. "Your server has terminated suddenly the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. "Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800CCC0F ' I have no known problem of the server or the network and use the laptop on a regular basis
You have any other tips on measure I can take?
    Kind regards

I moved your post on the Microsoft Answers forum when it was off-topic on the forum 'Making in network and get online' Windows XP where Outlook Express issues belong.

Contained in the error message POP settings seem to be correct according to !-mail-settings-for-outgoing-and-incoming-mail-servers%3F http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6876/~/what-are-the-bt-yahoo, but they are unusual for Yahoo, they do specify encrypted connections.  Because you pay BT for the account, I think you should talk to them.  You can also find some general technical troubleshooting here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514

original title: the Emails given erroneous instructions

As I said in my first answer, click file | Identities and establish a new identity.  See if that solves the problem, which will remove any possible corruption of the registry for OE.  In addition, antivirus and antispam programs do not work well with OE, so they could contribute, depending on what you are using.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
