exactly what microsoft products, programs, or updates should I necessarily...

IT SEEMS THAT I HAVE LOTS OF MICROSOFT PROGRAMS IN MY ADD AND REMOVE, SAY PLEASE ME HOW AND WHAT TO ERASE IF I CAN DELETE SOME

I leave everything except the bing toolbar. Remove windows live essentials if you do not use. If you really want to delete stuff then go in Add or remove windows components.  Here you can disable programs such as internet explorer, packages of windows media, and whatever else floats your boat.

  • Can configure is no longer Windows Vista update to include the updates for other Microsoft products (Office, Visual Studio, etc.).

I once had a problem with Windows Update, which gives me a family of .NET Framework through the window of Control Panel\Windows to update to Windows Vista, even if it has been installed and has Microsoft support help me through EasyAssist. The problem of .NET Framework has been fixed, but now I have a problem: the Control Panel\Windows update window informs me today I'll receive downloads for Windows only, not for all Microsoft products.
When I click on "Change settings", the Microsoft Update option is no longer present.
When I click on the link 'Get' updates for more products, I am now redirected to the former site of Windows Update V4 (who is not supposed to appear on Windows Vista) instead of Microsoft Update, and this site Web of Windows Update cannot detect the Vista updates.
So I'm stuck now with only being able to get informed about the upgrades to Windows, but not other updates from Microsoft. And we don't mean Windows Vista x 64 final with the last Windows Update Agent 7.2.6001.788. This new update would be the culprit?

    Hi Unicodemaster787,

Even if it is not automatic, you should be able to get your updates from the Microsoft Download center http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/en/default.aspx

Other than that, your best bet would be to do a repair install and let the system to reinstall the original files and settings.

When you perform a repair installation, it restores the current installation of Windows Vista to the version on the installation DVD. This requires you to reinstall all updates that do not appear in this version of Windows Vista.

To perform a repair of Windows Vista installation, follow these steps:

    1. Restart the computer.
    2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.

Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, click Start, type : \setup.exe in the Search box, and then click configuration in the list programs. Then click on install now.

    3. Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
    4. Insert the product key if you are prompted to do so.
    5. Click to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
    6. On the screen which type of installation you want , click upgrade.
    7. Once the installation is complete, restart the computer, and then try again to install updates.

Remember, however, that it could undo previous changes to solve your problems of .net.

  • Exactly what ACR should serve with PSE12?

Not found nowhere indicated exactly the ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) version to be used with PSE12.

Very frastrating as this one basic information is so hard to find.

We thank anyone who knows this secret.

    David

    So now I'm more confused

8.3 you mentioned previously is listed as DNG ONLY converter.

That '... ". latest Camera RAW plugin... "you said now (which suggests that it is something apart from the conv. DNG?) -that's exactly what I asked its version number so I can download it says with any computer connected to the internet. I do not have alow any activity 'stealth' on some computers that are therefore not talk of the internet.

I would not be limited to something if there is no secrets and that I can do the explicit standalone downloads (with ANY computer connected to the internet). Otherwise, if I can do it ONLY with an 'automatic' updates, etc. "it's a stealth activity and it IS a secret."

As for your puzzle, it's simple. I just got the PSE12 yesterday and have not yet had the chance to install. Until PSE10, there was no need to activate. And if there's a now, I'd do it by phone as I did with other products such as Microsoft. If Adobe would alow me to do telephone or any othere no stealth style, I return them the product.

    Best,

    David

How can I find out what programs I should have started and what are the programs I can start myself to my computer to run correctly when starting?

    Hello

I understand you want to learn about programs, you should start your Windows startup. I will certainly help you to question.

When you start Windows by using a normal startup startup, several applications and services automatically, and then run in the background. These programs include the base system, antivirus software, utility applications processes system and other software that was previously installed. These applications and services may cause interference when you install or run a program.

The system configuration is a tool that can help identify problems that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. You can start Windows with common services and startup programs turned off and then reactivate them, one at a time.

I suggest you to refer to the links below and check if this is useful:

    Using the Configuration System (msconfig)

Perform a clean boot to determine if background programs interfere with your game or program

    Hi Henrik

As far as I know your unit is fairly new and believe me you don t need updates when the operating system is running stable. If you have any specific problems you can try solve the problem installing some updates.

Until that unit works well let him. The only thing you should do is update of Windows, but it is with SP2 in any case set to automatic.

    Good luck!

  • What is the max RAM I should update?

    Hello

My system is a 27 "iMac i5 2.8 GHz with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. Currently, I am now running Snow Leopard OS. My system has 1 CPU and 4 cores.

If I had to use After Effects CS5, what is the maximum amount of RAM I should update?

Someone told me that the max my system can use is 4 GB of RAM (which means no point me upgrading the RAM) because I have only 1 processor 4 cores. Is this correct? Otherwise, what is the max RAM I should update?

Thank you very much, really appreciate a good answer.

    See you soon

Mylenium wrote that told you about your system isn't true that your system is 64-bit and 64-bit will take as much RAM you can give him and after effects CS 5 can enjoy more RAM and works better with more RAM.

Now a graphics card has in general not as much effect in improving the performance of EI, but with more VRam graphics will also help with open gl features.

It is also an option your iMac takes 16 GB of RAM so your answer is 16GB is what you need and when they update the RAM and make it backwards compatible which will help as well. So keep an eye on the future. Because 16 GB cards can now get so when they do them for theMac they might mac them backward compatible.

  • in the msconfig file how I found on what kind of program does what, I want to disable that I don't need

Somehow I have disabled my firewall setting. Says my windows firewall / internet connection sharing service is not started. How can I find out what kind of program does what and what I can disable I need not, I think I have too many unnecessary things running slows down my old pc

First, do some cleaning and analysis.  Then determine what you do/don't need.  Then more cleaning.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.
