• USB-6501 - impossible to find a basic example of Labview

  I recently bought a USB-6501 card and I used it in my own succesfully end and C++ programs using the DAQmx drivers.

  Then I tried to move to Labview 2009 (I never used Labview) so I looked for a simple example.

  I tried to boot from the example 'interactive Control Panel' (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AF0F31EE5D2AD23F862573140009D7C2?OpenDocument).

  I had to install the 'DAQmx Base' for him to start, as described in the previous link. now it begins (before Labview attempted to get a few missing .vi) but I get a message "error 200220 occurred at an unidentified locatio.

  Then I realized this example is 'old' (as explained here: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=209247), and it is suggested to look for a new one in example Finder ' entry-level equipment / output-> DAQmx-> Digital measurement (or generation)-> read Dig Port.VI.

  I tried, but along the way ' entry-level equipment / output-> DAQmx-> "only a folder named"Analog Measurement\Voltage"exists.

  Also in the search for 'Reading dig Port.VI' does not work.

  I've already spent many hours in this research and tent and the fact that I am not able to find not even a basic example, it is quite frustrating and it is making me give up the idea of using Labview.

  Please can anyone give me any suggestions where find/download an example simple and minimum to use my USB6501 in Labview 2009?

  First, install DAQmx Base was a mistake. Uninstall it and then install the Driver-OR-DAQmx. The driver must be installed after the installation of LabVIEW. After installation, make sure that the device is listed in MAX under "DAQmx devices. If it is not, your installation is still not correct.

  To search for example LabVIEW, see help > find examples. Under Input and Output hardware > DAQmx, you will find the digital generation and numerical measures. You have to look at the simple, timed software examples such as read write dig Chan, writing Port to dig, dig chan, reading Dig Port. You also have the option to use the DAQ Assistant.

  Just make sure that when you installed the driver, you have also installed the Application Development Enviroment Support for LabWindows CVI, otherwise the examples will not be there.

• Example of NEITHER Finder as

  I would like to create a windows that looks like NEITHER example Finder.  I remember seeing in it for example, but for some reason, I can't seem to find him.  I would like to be able to identify several VI in folder directory then allowing the user to click and open this VI then close the front panel.  Anyone know where I can find this example and what is the name of it?  Thank you

  Well, it doesn't quite normal to a hyperlink. With a hyperlink, text remains highlighted when the mouse passes over the text. That's why I said to use "mouse enter' and 'let the mouse '. By doing so, you also eliminate the value of unnecessary time-out for the structure of the event.

• favorite finder example

  When I go into the utility assistance I can search and find various items, and then when I find something that I want to come back is a simple thing to add the item to the Favorites menu and everything is as expected when I look in the Favorites tab.  However, when I go in the search example I can brouse and VI search depending on what I'm looking for and once again all is well and good. However, I noticed that when a particular example that VI is selected, the add to favorite button is activated, so I clicked it and the VI was added to a list of favorites. Once the VI has been added to your Favorites out of the favorite button becomes visible. The example finder has no favourites tab! How can I enter the Favorites section, and see what I've added to your Favorites!

  When you add favorites NI example Finder, this creates a 'Favorites' folder where you can quickly access the screws that you chose.  This folder is located in the list of folders in the tab 'Browse' inside OR example Finder.  I added a screenshot just for guidance.

  Thanks for posting. It seems that there is a problem with your system Web server of NOR. System OR web server is a service that launches startup which opens the TCP/IP ports to communicate with other applications of NOR, namely the NI LabVIEW example Finder. If LabVIEW can not start NEITHER System Web Server, you can also have problems with other programs OR associated with LabVIEW measurement and Automation Explorer.

  To check if you can start the click OR Web Service system on start > run... then type "services.msc". Here scroll NI System Web Server, right click and select 'start '.

  If she has already begun to try to restart it.

  If it does not try to disable the Windows Firewall and restart the Web server in the system EITHER.

  Fault, this issue has been know to occur after a repair of software, if that is the case, you may need to re - fix your software to re-record. Additional information on this in this forum thread.

• 2 error while finding examples

  Whenever I try to go to 'Help-> examples find' on my copy of labview 8.5 running on Windows XP SP3, I get the error in the screenshot.  I have no GPIB devices, the error remains after a re-start with labview to be the only program running.

  It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the browser of the example worked at home.  No problems with it at work.

  Any suggestions?

  Your error message provides the (Exec System) function and the full path to the exe file, it tries to run. Have you looked for the file? Have you tried to use the system exec to do the same thing?

• Looking for examples of 9184/9263/9215

  Well, obviously, I flood the forum tonight.

  I've never used NiDAQmx before, so I'm looking for examples of code in CVI for a cDAQ-9184 with AO 9263 module and an AI 9215 module. I imagine that there are examples of code for hardware compatible with different names, but after a quick search using [help] [NOR example Finder] I could not achieve what either.

  9184 chassis has no specific software.

  If you add the 9215 to loss of material select and check "Limit resusts to material", next search for 'analog', you will find a series of examples which can be executed on the module. It goes same for AO module you have.

  Looks like you want something like this (Image of the M series user manual):

  

  If you want to measure a finite number of impulses, you must use the 'soul two edge separation - Finite.vi buffered"is shown in the screenshot in your example finder.  You must connect your two signals to the entries ' to the ' and 'GATE' of your meter.  On many boards (for example, plugin M series), the default lines used are:

  CTR 0:

  To THE: PFI 10 (PIN 45)

  PORTAL: PFI 9 (PIN 3)

  CTR 1:

  TO THE: PFI 11 (PIN 46)

  PORTAL: PFI 4 (Paperback 41)

  If you don't want to use the default values, you can edit the lines used with a channel property node DAQmx PFI:

  I can't find a sample program for mid-7604. Example Finder NOR will not yield any success. Is it possible that I have not a driver or a service pack installed?

  The motor amplifier or the disc is the part of the system that takes control of motion control and converts current to the motor and we have no examples for readers. However, you should be able to find examples for your particular motion controller in Finder example NOR > Input and Output material > Motion Control

  Examples of NO-Sync include a number of modules. As a result, some of the terminals listed in the examples are not available on the SMU-6674 t.

  BoardClk is only a valid terminal on the PXI-668 x modules. This terminal is used internally by the multi-device PXI_Clk10 software disciplining. With the PXI-6683 (H), this terminal can be used for single-device PXI_Clk10 discipline as well.
