  I just deploy the tomcat in windows server 2008 and to test whether it is installed correctly. When I opened the IE9 and type in http://localhost: 8080, he goes to the homepage of tomcat successfully. However, when I slap http://127.0.0.1:8080, it shows that Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage (normally, these two methods are the same for the homepage of tomcat). Then I try to diagnose the connection problem. The problem found is - the remote device or resource does not accept the connection.   I have a REST GET service that supports p1 and p2 as a parameter and returns a base line. I am trying to build the web service reference. {I select REST as the webreference and then give it a meaningful name and attachment of the URL with the URI suffixed (2 settings) for example http:xx.xx.xx./xyz/customer_number/{customer}/salesrep_number/{salesrep_number}, no proxy and I select the name of the GET, JSON, no output basic authentication method. Now I have 2 parameters - salesrep_number and customer to define and try to run a test and he complains not FOUND, are not just URI syntax since it is what has been set in the RESTFUL Web service and it works from the workshop/Restful SQL service but fails under References webservice under shared components. Any help is appreciated.

  You mentioned 'he doesn't like the character '.' at the end.' -What exactly do you mean by "it"?   Just to be clear, you don't need to modify the RESTful Service module that you defined under SQL Workshop > Services RESTful - which must remain in its URI template using {client}.  The & nom_element. I already mentioned the syntax is specifically designed for the URL you set in shared components > a Web Service reference.

  Lets try this - take a look at the example of Service default RESTful, oracle.example.hr, installed in your workspace under SQL Workshop > RESTful Services.  In this module, you will see a empsec / {empname} example.

  1. If you test this example with the button 'Set Bind Variables' and provide a valid employee of the KING name in the value field, click on test to make sure that you managed to get the JSON result.  Take note of the URL generated for this test.
  2. Now access your application and create a web service reference based on this particular example, through shared components > Web Service References > Create.
  3. When executing step by step through the wizard, set the URL to the empsec / {empname} example, but replace {empname} with & EMPNAME. for example http://hostname/services/hr/empsec/&EMPNAME.
  4. Now, run the Wizard Page, and then select form > form report on Service Web-> step through the wizard, selecting the web reference service that you created in step 4 and click Next until you reach the last step of the wizard, where you will then click on create to complete.
  5. Change the page created, and then run the wizard to create a new item and create a new item of type page text field, with the name EMPNAME - to correspond with the binding reference variable in your URI.
  6. Run this page, enter KING in the text field and click on submit.  The region of results on the page should then be filled with the JSON result returned by the web service.

  If you can get this example to work, you will be able to compare the empsec / {empname} example with your own, which should hopefully help identify all differences that may ask questions.

  Look in the html for j_password page and find the code defined in the javascript code. Then using the same algorithm add of the java code to do the same thing in your script. It is possible that it is not javascript, for example, it could be a java applet or something else outside, although it is not likely. Your in-house developers created this app? If so ask them to give you the snippet of java code or algorithm to allow you to set a password in clear text for a "j_password".

  I searched and read about everything I found, and that you can not solve this problem. Help, please!

  I have a flex project 4 that works beautifully locally. It allows a person to complete a form that is sent to a cgi script. In turn, as cgi script querries a remote server and responds to my flex application with an xml file that I use in the rest of the application.

  MyApp-> script.cgi-> server-> xml-> MyApp script.cgi file remote results

  Unfortunately, I get security and http errors when you try to use this app on my school server. I included a file of cross - domain.xml of information on the remote server, but given that the information that I need for my application is an xml file that came out of my script cgi in my cgi - bin, I don't know that the cross-domain file is even necessary. Is it? I * get the error before that information is written to the cgi - bin... so the xml file I need is never written. On the cgi - bin, the permissions are set to allow to write and perform, and outside of my application, I am able to run scripts that write to the folder.

  Y at - it a server (Apache) that could prevent my working flex application?

  Is there something I need to put it in Flex? On init(), tried URLLoader and Security.allowInsecureDomain ("*.mysite.com"), but nothing seems to make any difference.

  Try to run the cgi on your school server script without calling it the app to exclude it.  There may be problems with access to the xml file that you load.  If the file you load via the script is located locally on the server, then you are right, you won't have a cross-domain file.

  That said, if the appeal of cgi of the flash application via a url which is a complete domain instead of a relative path name, so you will need file cross-domain if domains don't match exactly.  For example if the swif is located in http://mydomain.com/swf.html, the cgi also should be located to http://mydomain.com.  Hope this helps troubleshooting.  I found HTTP service calls to be more difficult to resolve because of all the things that must be right in order to make them work, but I use them a lot.

The site works perfectly in FireFox and Safari support however nothing via the HTTP services when using SSL. I read the Wired article http://weblogs.macromedia.com/lin/archives/flex/security/index.cfm on the use of SSL with THE de Lin Lin, however I am confused as how to implement the changes that she mentions. Basically, she mentioned a couple of the reasons why the httpServices would not be able to load data in the event of connection via SSL. I've read about the Adobe TechNote at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=fdc7b5c & SSP = rss_flashplayer_fdc7b5 c , but it was not clear either.

  I think I found the solution of optmial for me. In my case, I didn't have to double the number of communicates, so here it is, all download event data and a code for this example:

  dispatcher.addEventListener (DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA, uploadCompleteDataHandler);

  private void uploadCompleteDataHandler(event:DataEvent): void {}

  var result: XML = new XML (event.data);
  dataString = result.data.@text;

  }

  Event.Data contains 'raw server rΘponse' so that you can retrieve your data from there.

  Are you sure there's not another web analytics web application processes running, have you checked the processes running on the machine, you will need to kill or stop one of them to release the lock.
