  • Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service, Virtual Disk Manager Interface not registered

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on this laptop as a new installation about six months ago.  Since then, I don't think I ever ran diskmgmt.  Today, I joined a new external hard drive usb, it reported the drivers installed fine, but then the installation bombed at the beginning.  I went to verity, what had happened and has run diskmgmt.msc (as an administrator), but she came back with the message "Unable to connect to the virtual disk Service" and also a small OK msgbox appeared with the title "Virtual Disk Manager" and the "Interface not registered" message

I disconnected the USB hard drive and tried again diskmgmt, but no change.

I restarted in safe mode, tried diskmgmt, but no change.

I ran sfc/scannow, but it has reported that it found no errors.

I checked that the virtual disk service has been configured as a textbook in services.msc, and event viewer showed that when I ran diskmgmt he started VDS and then stopped VDS.

I tried again, but still not like before.

    Is there some dll I can't regsrv32?

    Thank you

    Hi trinidadg,.

Also try the following steps, you have a problem connecting to the Web sites.

Try to do a System Restore to an earlier date when your computer was working well and try to run a scan for malware removal.

Try to reset the Proxy settings to connect to the internet, as some malware enable proxy settings that block your ability to browse Internet sites.

    To reset the Proxy settings:

Click Start-> in "search programs and files" type CMD-> in the programs in the list right click CMD and click 'run as administrator '.

In the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:

    NETSH WINHTTP RESET PROXY

    Restart the computer

  • Unable to connect to the web.

I have an Inspiron One 2305. Yesterday morning, everything was fine. Before noon I couldn't connect to the web. The network connection shows that I am connected. I always get an error "unable to connect to the page. I ran anti-virus and malware. Still nothing. Do a system restore I can connect on a single page. Try to leave this page and I get the same error. Can someone give me an idea?

At this point you can repair or reinstall Win 7. Make sure that all of your personal files are stored on a medium firstexternally.

To do a repair, you will need your reinstall Dell Win 7 drive. Start with a hard disk check

    • Click Start > run
    • Type: chkdsk c: /f
    • Click OK
    • Accept offer to run chkdsk at the next startup, and then restart. CHKDSK runs before Windows loads. Be patient as this can take some time, depending on the size of your hard drive.

Unlikely that chkdsk will solve the network problem, but check it anyway...

Then run a check of Windows system (CFS) files:

    • Click Start > run
    • Type: sfc/scannow
    • Click OK
    • Insert the Dell Windows reinstallation disc, if/when requested
    • Restart when done
    • Check again networking

If this does not help, make sure that your files are backed up! Restart, and then press F8 before Windows loads. Look for the option of repair that may be on an advanced options menu. Follow the prompts. See if that solves network problems. And don't forget to visit the Windows Update site and reinstall all updates that are missing after the repair.

  • Unable to connect to the Web Services Proxy/unused (a HP 7500 JO)

    Hello

    Here's the situation:

    Previous installer:

.  I have connected my 7500 for the corporate network (IP = 172... series)

.  registered the product with ePrintCenter

.  used a PC under Windows to print (and scan) with the printer

    .  web proxy entry "webproxy.phila.gov".

.  However, because homeland security rules, I could never work, so I just let it go

    Current situation

.  has taken the home printer and set up on my home network, i.e.,.

    -using the 192.168.xx.xx series

-Router broadband Netgear ' G' (1 years) set up at the 192.168.xx.254

    -SSID & encryption assigned

-printer, the value 192.168.xx.155 (static IP address, the subnet and the gateway assigned as well)

-My DNS is identical to the bridge and it works fine for all the internet access to this day

-with the help of a PC and a Macbook Air to print and scan and everything works fine

    .  HOWEVER,.

-Initially, 'web services' were active (carried over from when I was on the company neetwork?)

..  Are looking for, found and downloaded updates

-When I went to hp.com ePrintCenter he showed the product as 'registered '.

..  He would'nt I would like to connect (with a name and a password I had used previously), or create a new account

..  I never remember getting an email address of the printer

..  and I had never been able to send anything to the printer to print because of my problem of network security

-Yes, after trying all sorts of things, I:

..  I tried to get another email without success

..  tried to re - enable web services, but he said I need to 'proxy', and I discovered that he had always "webproxy.phila.gov."

..  I have reset the values by default web services and network values

..  I put the static IP address return address in (i.e., printer, subnet and gateway (it has nowhere to put in a DNS one))

..  printing and scanning to 192.168.xx.155 works fine

..  From my iPad AirPrint works very well

.  BUT, I still can not online and therefore web server, web services are not enabled, therefore not ePrint

-everytime I try, it says it needs a proxy

    - but I don't have a proxy installed on my internal home network bit

-Comcast/Xfinity, my ISP, do not use a proxy

So, I'm dead in the water.  I can't figure out how to get the web services enabled; I do not use a proxy, so I don't know how to go beyond this issue. How to regenerate address of the printer; and so, how do I connect an account on the ePrintCenter (or get them to send me my old account information).  I'm dead in the water and cannot use a feature most of my printer that I desperately want to be put in place and functional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Tommy

Problem solved, but I don't know exactly how I did it. However, I went back in and let the printer assign the IP address. Then I turned the printer off and on again. Last I kept pressing the button "Printer e-mail address", who has repeatedly failed, but then finally went through and print the 'printer' page, I quickly used to connect to the ePrintCenter and put everything in place.

    Now it's working.

  • Unable to connect to the Web site

I can get www.calphalon.com to load but am unable to connect. When I created the account, calphalon did exactly the same thing ebay-t - it does not recognize the security code even if it is correct. I did exactly what I do on Ebay when I ask a question to a seller - I use Internet Explorer. You have created calphalon account no problem and am able to sign in and out of my account without any problem with IE, but when I switch back to FF (updated 22), this is a go. With FF, the sign of the popup box is much too small and is completely empty. When I go to the tab of the client service to register a product (this is why I am on the site), I filled up on the sign in info on the page and the kickoff, nothing happens. It's as if I never hit the Send button. It does not seem to convey anything at all. I have signed up for newsletters, but cannot access my account on ff so it seems I'm going w/IE when I get on this site.

    in response to the OP:

START_TAGmeans that your ksoap2 Analyzer receives a message html, most likely an error from the Web server. most common would be a 401 authorization required, but others are also possible.

ksoap2 cannot handle http errors, you must expand its features (or live with it). improve download the ServiceConnectionMidp of the class of the ksoap2 and extend it.
