  Look at the product key shown on the label on the computer.  Which edition of Windows is on the label?  If the label says Home Premium Home Premium dvd is likely a recovery disk only.  So if there is a recovery disk, so it can reinstall a new copy of Home Premium and all reset the status of the plant.  You will lose your programs and data.

  If the Premium family edition dvd is a dvd retail then you may be able to do a repair on-site modernization (aka ' install fix') of Vista Ultimate with it, but please answer these questions first.

Also when I try to Bravia Sync between these two devices, the TV seems that certain signals to detect devices connected, but then it says no devices listed.   Fixed it myself. Took out the HARD drive and it starts in mSATA SSD with Win 8.1 with none of the drama. Reconnected it hotswapping, formatted as a primary partition, the installer on the disk HARD not restarted and now it works.
