Exception code 80000003 crashes ie 7 and sidebar on a clean install of Vista Ultimate 64
Hi all
I want to thank everyone in advance * beep * 1 built in (DVD burning directly downloaded from the microsoft technet web site).
Virus/Malware protection: no (because I've been connected to no more than 3 minutes, did not visit all other sites as microsoft.com or google.com on this pure install and am sure it's not either 99.99%). I'm also behind my wireless linksys integrated in the firewall (model #: wrt54g), although my computer is directly connected by a LAN cable.
I partitioned the 640 GB HARD drive in a 200 GB C drive and 400 GB of storage using Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise server.
I did a complete reinstall of Vista Ultimate 64 bit (even once with Service Pack 1 built in). I really don't want to do an upgrade, like #1) I already activated my new copy of Vista Ultimate 64 and also #2) I don't want any additional programs installed with the original operating system on the system (Windows Vista Home Premium).
I backed up my old Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate (pre and post authentication).
I have installed any other programs.
I tried to download the current drivers for my system to...
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2100&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3820307
who has not solved the problem. In fact, install the drivers HD Audio actually killed all my sound capabilities (which was running under the ultimate copy before hand).
Just in case it is important, I changed the drive letters to the following
C drive: remains the same
Drive D: (original Image) has changed to drive F ("F' actory_Image)
Space additional storage on the HARD drive (from partition). S Drive created (by Yann "S").
-Errors-
My question arrise when I open IE7 and try to goto several websites which (I'm fairly certain) makes a system call the IE 7 plant. I'll post all the errors below. This same exception also blocks the windows sidebar in a few moments of implementation of the operating system.
The following errors are created when in stall 'certain' drivers (from memory, I think that the HD Audio driver)
"This program could not have installed correctly".
If this program was not installed correctly, try reinstalling using settings that are compatibiel with this version of windows.
Here are the errors thrown by the sidebar and IE7.

Thanks again in advance.

Jayjay,
Thanks again for the quick response. Finally, I discovered that I have installed a copy of the bad/debugging of my BONES from the site web technet. While I'm still holding my breath, I have not seen any recurrence of the previous major problems (i.e. crash IE7 & sidebar). I'll see how the drivers for my sound card, but it seems that windows sees as HD Audio device. I can just "let sleeping dogs lie" and call it all off. No matter, I'll make a backup of this 'success' more returned.
Thanks again for all your support.
Also, FYI, it's the 32 and 64-bit version of ie7 crashed. I think it had something to do with the file "mshtml.dll. Anyway, that's how I found the solution to...
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/ASPNET/32760139/IE7-crash-mshtmldll-Err.aspx
It is a 32-bit system, it also seems to describe a lot of problems that I came across.
With audio beeps, I ended up having the work to reverse the default windows (again, it is in the older operating system).
In addition, some other oddities that I would like to post (in case some unfortunate soul happens to have the same problem and stumbles on this page).
(1) during startup (before the windows loading popped up bar), it would always be 'check' my hard drives connected, say something to the extent of the "Drive?: checked and OK" or something similar.
(2) this particular build continued throwing exceptions to a player that I had ever installed software, wording of error below is very accurate (for the part that I copied).
Failed in the declaration of report file
d:\rtm\enduser\officeconvertors\src\core\html\imain.c, line 352.
Cannot open the registry key for converer!
In any case, for those who want a solution, try to upload a better copy of Vista. I personally just installed the Vista Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 2 Beta.

Reinstall and download the dvd to install Windows Vista 32.
Hello
I would ask you,
How can I rewrite my original Windows Vista 32 on dvd? (download, so I can fix my laptop which had original Win vista).
Thank you.
Hello
Here are the different methods to reinstall Vista.
The choice that suits you.
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:
"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Problems after doing a clean install of Vista Home Premium and service pack 2
I see that others have the same problem as me, but there is no way to comment (that I can see) on the thread I've read. After a lot of problems, I did a clean install of VISTA Home Premium (came with my Dell PC) and when I installed service pk2, all of the same problems that led me to do a clean install appeared. I can't the computer to recognize and install the keyboard and the mouse of the blue tooth. (Don't tell me to contact the manufacturer, because they came w / the computer and say "Dell" on them!) He told me that the enumerator does not work. Then I launched Quicken, and when I tried to save a registry check for print, he gave me the msg "Quicken launcher has stopped working". He was a key reason I did a clean install. The only improvement is that I can at least open Quicken, which he would not let me do before. How to uninstall service pack 2?

I do a new install of Vista Edition home premium and it gave me an error message "windows could not start, status: 0 xC0000001 ', even not all components of the computer are brand new and aparently work well, can someone point me in the right direction?
Thank you
Justin
I try already and my system is configured to boot from the cd first dvd room.
After that start the DVD vista sytem shows the error 'windows couldn't start error Oxc0000001.It is not a DVD - RW SATA is?
If you need Intel drivers Matrix to exploit your readers to drive HARD and DVD - RW, DVD - RW SATA won't work properly (owners of Intel motherboard you lucky guys don't have this problem). Need to install drivers of matrix for the DVD - RW being recognized (the egg before the chicken scenerio), hence the need for an IDE DVD - RW.
Second, make sure that the BIOS can identify your DVD player correctly. If shut down you the computer and it stops, stops and restarts when you restart the computer again, the BIOS has not yet saved the change of equipment.

I want to put Vista Ultimate 64-bit OEM on my Sony Vaio VGN-FW21E which has Vista Home Premium 32 bit installed. I intend to do a clean install.
My question is I am able to restore the settings of Vista 32 bit and the factory once I installed Vista 64, either through the Sony Vaio Recovery Center or using recovery partition that is not on my machine?
The laptop was purchased second hand off ebay and didn't come with any disks. The product key sticker is present on the underside of the laptop.

Yes, you can reinstall clean 32 bit vista
you need to get the sony vista recovery disc
or use your recovery partition
It depends on how you install 64-bit whether if the recovery partition is left untouched or not
You can also reinstall the 32-bit version of this way
borrow a microsoft dvd vista
Make sure that you borrow correct 32-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
ask also sony how to make this recovery partition recovery disks now before you go ahead and install the 64-bit vista
then you have reinstall disks for 32-bit vista

There is no download available on the Net and your hard drive as failed now, you are unable to make the recovery of the disks.
And you cannot use from recovery disks of a different brand or model (laptop) to reinstall Vista on your Tower / Desktop

Error code (0 x 40000015) at the location 0x0000ec96 when installing Vista Ultimate 64
I've just set up a computer and I am trying to install Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. As soon as I put in the product key I get setep.exe Application error "the exception unknown software exception (0 x 40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x0000ec96." What can I do?
Hi MEMason,
1. what type of installation? Is - this facility upgrade or custom (clean) installation?
2. do you have an extra adapter connected to the computer?
3. What is the size of the RAM (Random Access Memory) installed on the computer?
4. do you have 32-bit processor or 64-bit?We recommend that you first perform an installation without a key and check if the problem persists. This means, proceed with the installation without inserting the key during installation.
If the problem persists, we recommend that you simplify the material, for example, if you have an additional video and RAM card, then disconnect / remove the system and run the install to see if the problem persists.

Hello:
Before attempting to install Vista, I have a set of recovery disks where you find all the drivers for Vista.
There will be none for your PC on the support page.
To help you get started, here are the links to the drivers I should work for your PC.
1 chip set. First, install and restart. First download is what you want.
