He did not know how to do, so I ended up add me as a parent again using my new alias.  Now I can't use the family safety website at all, I get a message saying that something went wrong, please visit the forum Exception Type: 1F88A3ED.  I can't find information on this particular problem, can help you please.

Hi there - this happened to me, and the only way to fix it was to remove the second version of me on the family safety website. I hope it will work for you too!

  • How do I create a Parent account to Windows Live family safety?

    Hello

I have a Windows Live account and I have created several others to implement parental controls of Windows, but I could not.  With all the accounts that I created, I continue to encounter one or two messages error with or the other account.  It is said that "this service is not available at this time" and other States that the account is not registered as a Parent.  I read the comments to discussion threads where advice is given on how to fix known issues associated with these error messages, and none of them work for me.  When I connect to Windows Live with an account, any account, they look alike, and it is never an option to add a child with the exception of the link subsumed under permissions.  When I click permissions and click to add an account, all that I see is the ability to add social media accounts in my Windows Live account.  I tried almost every permutation I can think to solve this problem.  Provide advice.  Thank you.

  • Family Safety Windows blocking is not enough

I have activated Windows parental controls for a child account on Windows 8.1 and disabled all applications that are registered except Chrome.

I tested and it blocks a lot of things, but allows much more than just Chrome.

I disabled the downloads in the center of the family, but downloading files via Chrome still works.

Once connected was - this child account, I opened regedit and was able to tinker around in the registry and change everything that can create or modify a standard user account.

Notepad works.  I created a .bat with some commands file and saved to the desktop.  Then, I clicked on it and run the script without any problems.

Turn off all the sliders to block applications seems to give a false impression that the user is locked a lot more than they really are.

Are there other applications and executable blocking settings that can be activated in the parental control?

How can I set this up so that the child's account runs, which is expressly authorized in the white list and no other programs such as regedit, notebook, random scripts, etc.. ?

I want this Windows system either as malware as possible evidence all being usable for surfing the web like a Chromebook, but this does not do.

If the download blocking only works for IE, I couldn't remove Chrome in the list allow applications, but this still does not resolve the other issues listed.

  • Why can't I delete Windows Live Family Safety?

I used Windows Live Essentials 2011 Setup to remove Windows Live Family Safety, since it doesn't seem to work in Win8. However, if I type 'Family' on the start screen, it appears here. If I choose that, I get a dialog box indicating that there are compatibility problems. If I right-click and choose uninstall, need me "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and features" and it is not listed there. If I open the parental controls control panel, it still appears as one of the suppliers.

What should I do to get rid of him?

My computer hangs at startup / commissioning for about 5 min.  This happens only to start initial and not when the disconnection / log - on different users, only the initial start-up of the machine.  Event Viewer identifies the above error.  How can I fix it?

Note: Make sure to set up a password for the administrator account to prevent other users to change or disable the Parental control.

    6. Under child account, activate the Parental control.
    7. Under Windows settings, you can now put in place restrictions on the activities of your child's computer by implementing deadlines, control games rating, content, or title and allow and block specific programs.

I put my parent account and created my accounts of children too. When I'm in the "Parental control" function via the web (Windows Live > all Services > Family Safety) doesn't even recognize that I have (WLFS) installed. It says at the bottom of the service of FS 'Computers' page (but none are displayed, I 3). He also says "job settings parental control only on computers that have integrated security family filters. Install the family safety. "

I go to the part of uninstall and reinstall. I don't think it will change anything because I tried it on my desktop as well. I SCREW Suite installed on this pc as well so I'll try to install while security is disabled.

  • Family safety does not wab browsing activity report

    Hello

I set up parental controls for a child almost a year back

and it has worked perfectly until about a month.

Now he sends to empty activity reports

claiming that it was not any web browsing activity.

But I know for a fact that this activity takes place.

Is anyone know how fix/Debug this?

    I already checked that:

-Name of the PC comes to /familysafety.microsoft.com

-On the website: date/time of last activity reported for this PC

is correct and up to date

-On the website: 'Activity tracking' is on 'ON' for the child

-On the PC: WPCMon is NOT running (in Task Manager)

If I log in as a child, or like me

-On the PC: Family Safety icon appears in the taskbar.

When I connect as a child popup icon says:

    "Family safety monitors your account."

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1. which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

    2. what type of internet connection do you use? Is it wireless or wired?

This problem normally occurs when the parental control settings are not configured correctly or recording. You may need to configure the settings to see if it helps.

You can check this by blocking a Web site and try to access it from the browser. Also, make sure that the child's account does not use proxy connections.

You can also update the family safety filter and check the results.

How to update the family safety filter?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Live/Family-Safety-filter-FAQ?woldogcb=0

Also, you can disable the antivirus if installed some and check.

    Caution:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

Have 3 computers of children that have been purchased with windows 8 is installed.

Eager to safety for the installation on each family.  Having the option of family safety is problem to work on two of them.

When you view the user account, it says family security is enabled; However, it is not.  When you try to view the available parameters for the family safety in these 2 accounts, I get an error message every time... "Cannot change the security for the family."

Tried to delete accounts, add, install a new one, etc.  Nothing works, still get the same results.

Spoke with MS tech support three times, no one can help me.  Someone had the same problem or advice on how to correct the problem?

    Hi Cyndi,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

From the description of the problem you are facing problems with getting the option of parental control. To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. are you logged as an administrator of the computer?

2 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

You can check the settings of UAC (User Account Control) If this is allowed, then try to disable the same and see if the problem still occurs. Follow these steps for the same thing:

    a. press the Windows key and from the splash screen, type UAC and on the right.

    b. click on settings and select change user account control settings and check here.

  • Windows 8 family safety

I bought a HP Pavilion g6-2218nr with Windows 8 (64 bit) for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas and really want to activate the security settings for the family.  No matter what I do, when I go into parental control settings, I get an error "Sorry, we could not make changes to parental controls settings."  I tried:

    -Updating of the BONE

-a clean install of the operating system

-change of a local account to a windows account that is linked to me (parent)

-modification of a local account to a windows related to my daughter account

Either way, once I started using a Windows account, I tried to go into the settings of PC more-> account settings Online-> permissions-> parental settings and try to activate the parameters of family from there, I see the error "there is a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to receive this message, try again later. »

    Hello

It is a feature of Microsoft and we see the following:

    "Take CARE, worried Parents

Attention, parents concerned.  Microsoft technicians on the phone admitted that parental control does not work on Windows 8.  Do not assume that Family Safety for Windows 8 will work by simply placing.  I had to stop my child's portable computer and will probably have to reinstall Windows 7, like parental controls has blocked no adult content even after all the web good filter restrictions.
