Excursion to Smartphones blackBerry and deleting multiple messages

I had the ride for 24 hours and have had blockages my 4 BlackBerry previous combined.

5 times, I selected a number of e-mails (note - E-mail synchronized to Exchange through BES) to delete, and as soon as the process begins, the unit freezes with the little clock icon in the middle of the screen (hands frozen in place). The only way to fix this was to remove the battery and restart the device. VERY frustrating because the tour takes FOREVER to restart.

Does anyone else have this problem or developed workaround?

Thank you.

I chose before deleting before and he has released 50 messages at a time and did not even see a timer. I imagine more emails most likely would be to heppen but this shouldn't happen on say 10-20 at a time or even 30-40. especially pretty forcing you to have to pull the battery.

There are 4 possible things that could be the cause.

1 shift of BB software - reload resettoctory or software should fix this

2. 3rd party software interference - find out what apps are running in the background by opening the application switcher

3. Exchange/BES Server lag - not much you can do, but your could restart servers, or delete and readd to the system

4. memory leaks - check your memory just before doing a mssive delete (registered options) and then, if you can get to this betweentimers, check once again, then check again after battery pull. compare all.

Another thing you can do is to accumulate 50 emails, check the steps of tests for numbers 2 and 4. When Delete Deletes 25 of them. After that timer and battery remove, delete the other 25 right away and see if you get a timer then.

  • Smartphone blackBerry, deleting multiple messages

    Hello world

I'm new to the scene of BB. I have setup my phone to get multiple e-mail accounts. I wonder, how to delete several messages at the same time? (I don't know how to do it individually)

    Thanks for your help

If you want to delete several messages click and hold down the Alt key and roll the ball control to select, and then click the menu button and select Remove. Another way is to highlight the date that appears on the top of the post, and then click menu to select delete before. This option allows to delete all the mails below the date.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to delete the message

My granddaughter has sent me a message an image and and a voice message. It was one of those who have been passed several times. I'm unable to remove the message. If I go in the menu and select "delete prior" for a given date, all messages for that date will delete except for the message that I've referenced. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could continue?

Try pulling the battery: when the device is turned on, remove the battery, wait 1 minute and turn the battery on the device.

And after that try to delete the message.

  • Removal of Smartphones blackBerry and reading the emails in Outlook not reflecting only not on Blackberry

I've set up by O2 of BIS and links to 3 email accounts.  They are all IMAP.  I start Outlook to connect to these accounts from my laptop.  Almost everything works perfectly.  Always receive emails for delivered to Outlook and Blackberry OK.  If I open an e-mail or delete it on Blackberry, then this is reflected in the accounts of e-mail OK.  All emails deleted on the Blackberry are displayed in a basket on my email account.  What does not work, it is when I delete or read an e-mail in Outlook.  This is reflected on the Blackberry and I have to manually read or delete messages on the subject.  All the settings for accounts on the Blackberry look good balance that is wireless enabled, the victories of the mailbox and delete on handheld and mailbox is enabled.  If I do a balance now, nothing happens, read and deleted messages are still on the Blackberry.

    Any ideas anyone?

You need BES to do, only BIS is not enough

  • Deleting multiple messages from phone

Is there a way to delete emails multiple (or all) of my phone inbox? They just keep piling up and I have to do each one individually. Even when I go to my Inbox via PC and delete them here they always remain on my phone.

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but it's a problem and a pain to deal with. It should be fixed in the next update to 2.1. Because now I would recommend either using Gmail for all your email or you can try K-9 mail a free app on the market. I've been using K - 9 since I had the same problem as you with 200 emails and no way to remove them. It is also a way to delete all e-mails that are now in your phone in one fell swoop. It will remove all well. Move the menu, and then click settings. In settings, go to Applications, then Manage Applications. Now, scroll down to Email and select it, click clear data and don't worry about the warning. Now, go to the e-mail engine and clear data here too. Will be deleted after this all your emails from your phone. Now, make sure that your stock email app does not download more to change to manual recovery and not automatically. If you choose K-9, it is easy to set up and works very well. If you use hotmail or yahoo, it could give a warning about this, but they do not work for me. Gmail can also be configured to retrieve your emails from other institutions. The choice is yours.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry and Smartphones are interchangeable on e-mail networks?

I am a user of BB Curve which is changing jobs to another employer who uses the Motorola what. Can I use my curve if the employer does not use a Blackberry corporate email server? In other words, the BlackBerry and Smartphone are interchangeable on the e-mail systems?

You can use the curve not BlackBerry Enterprise server. But you can use BlackBerry Internet Service and integrate professional email address via POP/IMAP/OWA and still continue to use BB. Your IT will know if they have access POP/IMAP/OWA.

  • Smartphones blackBerry and email roaming

I'm new to Blackberry and have set up my email to my handheld as it comes in my Inbox mailbox.

I'm soon going on foreign holidays and don't want my emails to push while I'm foreign because of the cost of roaming.

Does anyone know how can I activate pushing off the coast while I'm away?

Do you know if your on a BES (receipt of company e-mail on your device and your device is configured by your IT Department), or BIS (just receipt of personal e-mails)?

If your on a BES, then your IT Department can disable forwarding of e-mail on your account and then turn it back on when you get home. I believe you can also go into Messages. Options | E-mail settings and set the "Send Email to handheld".

If you use only BIS, you can enter in your BIS carrier site and go the section filters on your email account. You can then set the filter to not forward messages to your device.

  • How can smartphones blackBerry I delete an unwanted icon

I have an icon on my home screen which is a small globe with the number 1 next to it. It's a kind of notice, but I can't remove it. Any ideas gratefully received

From your home screen, go to your Messages folder, press the menu key, then select the display folder.  This icon is probably a browser Message or a WAP Push, so look in these two folders first.  If you see the message in one of these folders, you can view and delete it from there.  If it is not in one of these two files, continue to search in other files until find you it.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Camera of Smartphones blackBerry and sounds and ringtones gel

    Hello

    I just got a BB bold 9700. It's a T-mobile phone, but I use it with rogers.

I noticed a problem because when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the screen "saving...". ». I can hold the BB menu button down and out, but the "saving..." screen "down the rest. I can do an on/off switch and he gets rid of him, and then it gives me the following message is displayed:

    Untrapped exception:

    Application

net_rim_bb_camera (238) does not. process is completed

I noticed that when I press 'sounds and ringtones' under options it freezes as well (and I get the untrapped exception: net_rim_bb_options_app (242) Application is unresponsive; process is complete). Similarly, I can get by using the BB menu key.

I should also mention that I can't return to the frozen functinos if I go out with the key of BB menu until after I restart.

The screen shows the way the following:

    V5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)

I just did a wipe of security and have not added all the apps or anything like that.

    Your help is appreciated!

Do after a wipe means that it is a question of OS, mem, dat file corruption or device problem card.

Plud in a PC and use mass storage mode and find and delete all .dat files in pictures and video files.

Try a new mem or diff card or with a.

Try the OS upgrade with this version, and if it persists, you may have a bad camera.

    Outlook?   Google Calendar?  Another program?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

The most transparent way is synchronization with Outlook, via the Desktop Manager.

Step 1 install Blackberry Desktop Manager Manager of
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/

    Step 2
Connect blackberry to your PC via a USB cable and let the blackberry device driver install. During the device driver installation is complete, it will warn 'material installed successfully' in your windows taskbar.

    Step 3
Run the Blackberry Desktop software and choose the option SYNCHRONIZE.

    Step 4
Now choose CONFIGURE and you can select the CONTACTS, CALENDAR, NOTES, and databases TASKS by clicking on the boxes next to each. After you select each item, it will ask you which application you want to synchronize with, there are OPPORTUNITIES for all.

    Step 5
