WMP gets script errors by using some of the dialog boxes in "find album info".
I sailed on the "fix it" MS and found one of the correction as tools that seemed appropriate, this one:
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/I ran and it said that jscript and vbscript for registration was corrupted,
and he advised me to reset the WMP library.I allowed him to fix these items, rebooted the PC and before anything else.
Re-entered the site and ran the same fix - it new tool.Guess what? He finds the same two errors and offered to fix them again.
These tools do not work for WMP 11 XP SP3?
Thanks for any info.
The error real jscript in WMP 11 was fixed by deleting cache, cookies and favorite Web sites
data saved in IE8. Once this is done, WMP was very good.Perhaps the "fix - it" tool should be updated in order to study this possibility.

Hello and thank you for reading my post.
I just configured Windows Media Player (WMP) 11 after that he downloaded automatically by Microsoft Update and is surprised that, when I insert a CD purchased in the store in one (1) of my two 2 CD drives, he would recognize that a CD is here and with the right number and durations of his songs, but it would NOT automatically identify the CD and these songs.
I found that I could get this information by manually entering the library (even if I don't permanently transfer the tracks on my hard drive at all), right-clicking on a tracks is on the air and by selecting Find Album Info... a few steps after that and all is filled in the playback in WMP, but the NEXT CD requires the same steps for ITS information appear here as well.
Do you have any ideas about this, please? I think I checked all the right boxes, but would walk by them with you gladly to the case where.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely, Bram Weiser
PS My system is Windows XP Home Edition SP3. If you need more specific information/settings, please let me know. Thank you very much!
I think I'm something...
bramweiser-do you use IE6?
Edit:
-close wmp
-go to internet explorer6 > tools > options > advanced > http1.1 settings > uncheck 2 boxes below.
Press ok.
-now insert your CD/media and that's it! -

"Find Album Info" script in Windows Media Player 12 error
Hi, a problem with WMP 12. The "Find Album Info" function does not work. All goes well until you click Finish to confirm that you have found the information from the album right when the window comes up saying there is a Script error. Then I can only exit by pressing on cancel without updating music files. This has only started happening recently. I tried unsuccessfully to restore music library. Can anyone help?
Thanks for the answers and information. I found a solution by chance more than anything else. Had tried library of reconstruction, but did not work.
When the "Find Album Info" window is open it is script in the upper left corner:
ISP. Music.metaservices.Microsoft.comIf you point it cursor on that he "Refresh" appears, click the script and it refreshes the window just like clicking Refresh on I.E. This treatment cures the problem, if it doesn't first discount a few time a couple of times and it does not work. In addition, so far, has been recurring problem.
I hope it works for you Widgeon3.

WMP12 no longer allows me to find album info
Used to work fine but now when I right click and choose "Find album info" I get "an error occurred in the script on this page". Ripping with ininfo works very well. Is there a solution for this. No update is available.

Medai player 12, when I right click on a song to find album information, it is considered to be an album, it's the results of the research have artist and album (normally it is artist, album, and song). If I click to change side of the end, not just info of this song, some other songs in the same folder get changed and listed under the same album. I don't think that this problem is caused by the corruption of database of the library, because it doesn't happen that some of the songs, others are OK. I moved the songs promblem to another computer and the problem persists. I think somehow the media player have problems recogonizing these songs but I'm not sure.
Hi Delphinium,
Given that the problem persists, try the following steps to reregister the files related to Windows Media Player and check if it helps.
To do this, follow the steps below.
a. click on Start in the search bar to start, type in cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.
b. at the command prompt
Type regsvr32 wmp.dll, and then press ENTER.
Type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then press enter
Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then press enter
Restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved.
This problem can also occur if you try to songs using third party, ripping software rip.
You can also try to add album art manually the problematic songs.
For more information, you can consult the following link:

Recovery 'Where' in Finder Get Info
I need to be able to see what the URL of a file has been downloaded from to determine if this file is legitimate. Because Finder displays this information on the 'where' line in the read window information, I hope that there is a way to get it back. How this is possible, with naked AppleScript or shell script?
In Terminal:
LDM-name kMDItemWhereFroms file
or
LDM-name kMDItemWhereFroms-raw file

Windows Media Player 12 (WMP 12) does not respond when you use "Find Album Info".
Dear friends,
I notice a problem to update my album information. I recorded a small screen cast for so I hope this helps to demonstrate.
I tried to reset the library, are most of the songs/music to AAC (iTunes, no DRM) format.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It eventually will come back so I don't know if it is a bug or just design.
Thank you, in advance.
Hello
1. are you able to update the information of the album for other types of files?
Try to read the file in the clean boot state and then update the info from the album and check.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.

Media Player - CD - find Album Info - always offline when you use Wifi
I mainly use the Wifi with my computer. When I go to rip a CD information does not automatically like it does when I use a LAN cable. I get a pop-up asking if I want to go online - how to make WMP to recognize that I'm already online? It probably isn't a setting of WMP but some more global setting which is the origin of the problem, but if it can't be stopped, he'd save me a lot of frustration. Also, as soon as I activate the option online go - another popup box appears looking to enable a modem dial-up (which I don't have and never had with this computer) - but it can help to diagnose the problem.

Where to find icons of the CVI
Hi all
I need to complete my menu and the related toolbar with some images. I would use similar icons to those that are present in the environment of CVI tool bar.
Do you know if there is a directory in the tree of the BCI where to find icons CVI?
Can someone send me General icons free download URL?
Thank you very much
Sergio
Hi, Sergio,
I don't think the CVI toolbar icons can be extracted by other means just PrintScreen as...
Anyway, you can use the icon, like IconsExtract or @icon sushi or IcoFxexctractors. IcoFx is editor of beautiful icons as well.
But do not forget that some images may be copyrighted, so you are not able to extract or copy them for use in your application.
First, take a look here: icon of National Instruments library
You can use portals to search for the icon:
Or download some sets of free icons for free:
Fugue and Diagona (pinvoke) icons
Set of icons Crystal Clear (Everaldo Coelho)
24 sets free PSD (Ganato design)
GNOME 2.18 professional Scalable Vector Icons
Toolbar button icons by ~ iTweek
But remember about copyright and licensing rights before reading (most of the above available for free under the Creative Commons Attribution licenseicons)!
In additional, I won't recommend to mix different icons, but take some time (and probably money) to develop your own design...
And read this: 10 mistakes in icon design
Best regards
Andrey.

Cast: more specific type where the object EXPECTED
I extend an interface that expects an argument of type Object. My implementation of this interface knows that the object passed is a specific class, I've defined. I can't compile my code no matter what I try, because of the error "incompatible types.
In my case, I set my own observer / Observable class. Below is the method of observation which does not compile:
public void update (Observable obj, Object arg) { if (arg instanceof Message ) { message = arg; if (message.success) { System.out.println("received success notification "); // do some other stuff } else { System.out.println("received failure notification "); } } else { System.out.println("received notification without a valid Message"); } }
I tried a few other forms that do not work also. I like to keep my interface like that so that I can reuse it in other places. What I really want is to cast 'arg' of a generic object of type "Message", but this does not seem to be supported in the desktop. Thoughts?
You are missing a cast. Also, I don't see where the variable 'message' has been declared.
Try this:
If (arg instanceof Message)
Message message = arg (Message);

Try to find all THE objects that point to a column...
Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production
PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
CORE Production 11.2.0.3.0
AMT for Solaris: 11.2.0.3.0 - Production Version
NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
I have several patterns, all that have tons of objects that point to a column in a table.
I tried looking at v$ sqltext and v$ sqlarea, but it does not appear as expected.
There is a view that I can watch that will show me all the objects that relate to a single column?
my situation. Had to change the structure of data in this one column. Changed the default value of a Y a l I have packages, functions, triggers, etc... dealing with this single column. I make sure I have go through EACH of them and modify them to reflect the change in the column of the table. And still, it extends over several patterns that point to it.
I can't forget all the objects. Is there any one place to find it?
Thank you.Use the mode - DBA_DEPENDENCIES
select * from dba_dependencies where type= 'TABLE' and name = '
'; Another gross way...
select * from all_source where lower(text) like lower('%
%') group by owner, name, type; But, this will not search in the views & MView queries.

How will I know where to find an object?
When there is already an object placed on the block diagram, how will I know where to find it in the hierarchy of the functions Palette?
(Specifically VI Scripting - crosses, in this case.)
You can find a range where it is enabled by get the context menu drop down for the item (right-click if you use Windows). In the second section of the menu the first element (in most cases) will be the palette that contains the object. For the crossbar for GObjects.vi the first item in menu in the second section is VI Scripting palette. For a larger? the first item on the menu is the comparison. A primitive as array to build, you go down to the first element "pellets" in the menu. It is still in the second part, but is not the first item.
You can also select Replace in this context menu. The first enumerated palette will be the one that contains the item. However, it takes two clicks compared to the other to the above method.
The Palette list detailed help files have on the line under the name of VI. You can access this by clicking on the link detailed help at the bottom of the window context ehlp.
If the object is a VI, Show VI hierarchy include VI selected lib and see the full path in the labels of VI will show the location on the disc, but which does not correspond exactly with the paddles.
