Router Linksys wrt54g2 v1 keep disconnecting every few hours

Hello

The router works normally, and he cuts the wire and wireless connections all the few hours that I need to get out

power and return to power, to make it work again

Any advice?

Ofer

Open the configuration of the router and on the Configuration tab page, reduce MTU size to 1300 and click on save settings... On the Wireless tab, click Advance wireless settings and change the tag to 75 interval > change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 > click on save settings... Now, the cycle of power to the router and it should fix the problem... If this does not resolve the problem, update the firmware on the router and reconfigure the router.

  • Logging of IPS by returning every few hours?

For an initial installation, I have configured to log all packets of perpetrator/victim pair, covering events in detail and not meant to be all the time. He will be off to see if this reduces the amount of storage that is consumed so we can monitor events for a longer period of time, but I have a question on that.

The Wrap event store (to see the release of store event stat) he says the envelope of logging I see?

If so, is there a way to monitor the availability of memory for the store itself so I can see what affect the different settings have on memory available logging?

    IPS # display statistics event-store

    Store event statistics

The number of times the event store circular buffer = 16

The size of eventStore from version 5.0 (1) is a fixed 30 Meg. Its a circular eventStore for wrap (new events overwrite older events). The usual deployment of sensors includes a sort of remote event monitor application that pulls events from the sensor. The eventStore acts as a buffer to allow the application of monitoring remote face busy sensors. If your eventStore encapsulates all the few hours then the tracking app should be able to cope with all generated events. The concern would be if the eventStore constantly wrapped up in less than 10 or 15 minutes. When you do that, you can be losing events and would need to adjust the signature of sensor configuration only the alarm on significant events.

  • Instability Wireless: Atheros AR9285 briefly disconnects every few minutes

I bought an ASUS K50ID on Newegg and tried to connect to my Netgear wireless-N, through its Atheros AR9285 (who claims to have installed the latest drivers)

Connections starts without a hitch, but after awhile, I noticed that the connection would be cut at random for just a second.  It was not bad enough to attract my attention just browsing, but when I tried to use Windows Live Messenger, it disconnect me every 5 or 10 minutes, and then I would sign immediately.  He would say that he had to reconnect to the network, is not just a problem of software with WLM.

I have disabled the option to turn the card wireless for powersaving (also, it's funny that it uses by default this option to 'on')

I looked for manual updated driver, but Atheros website is confusing and sometimes in French and is not my card the list of drivers, only for more information.

I checked my router settings, etc., and it seems fine.  It of just that sanded Atheros AR9285 and its lack of will to stay connected! Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

P.S. I also disabled the IP assistance service, someone said that it can solve. There can be no.

    Hello

Check with ASUS updated drivers manually as well as possible firmware updates for the
Netgear router. Also check the placement of the router - if it is closer to 6 feet or too far-
is there a lot of electrical interference or metal in the line of fire - or too many walls - different
floors of level - or just distance.

Of course there would be something wrong with the new computer - or the router.

Check with the ASUS support and their forums.

  • My screen keeps dimming every few seconds, even if I changed the settings and saved!

Hi I have Windows 7 and I have passed to the control panel and changed the settings for power. I got my high-performance switch mode, changed the settings so that it only fades every 10 minutes and saved. However, my computer keeps dimming of the screen at very low about every 7 seconds! I have to make it brighter, but it fades again! Sometimes it fades it right after she cheer up! I even tried to make a personalized plan, but it did not work. What can I do to make the screen stop all seconds dimming! I've tried everything!

You are using a laptop computer monitor or a desktop monitor / external?  This is much like a monitor that has its own management food or, as with many TVs, the ability to change the brightness in response to changes in ambient light levels.

    Hello Jansen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. you made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur if the display driver is outdated or because of the presence of an infection such as viruses or malware.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Update display driver of your computer from the manufacturer's Web site and check out them.

    Please see these articles:
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Update-driver-hardware-ISN

    Update drivers: recommended links
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers-recommended-links=Windows-7

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Microsoft safety scanner run and check the issue.
    Reference:
    Microsoft safety scanner
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • For v.15 auto update on TUE and now I get hangs (freeze XP SP3 completely) every few hours. Help!

    Question says it all.

I think I should get off until bugs in v.15 are developed. How do I do that?

    It's good to know.

For the moment, I think that maybe my problems were related to the material. Fixing the voltage of my video card seems to have solved my problems. Without blockages with Firefox since then.

It seems that Firefox may only put a heavy strain on the video card is causing problems. Weird, but that seems to be compatible with all the symptoms. Not sure why v.15 would put more stress on the video card, but it may have been a coincidence.

Icon problem seems to have disappeared as well. Can only assume that it was somehow connected.

  • Run a package every few hours

Hi, I create a package that runs some pl/sql and then send me the results, but what I want to do then this package to run daily at 15:00 is defined and then send me the result as it does normally now.

My question is how do I go to do this? Please provide a code example. My name of the package is daily_error_check.

    Use DBMS_SCHEDULER (or DBMS_JOB):

    ORACLE-BASE - Scheduler (DBMS_SCHEDULER) in Oracle Database 10g

  • Laptop keeps disconnecting the connection but not others

I have two laptop computers Toshiba Satellite A300D and A500-13F and a new Linksys WRT120N router. A300D has an Atheros AR9281 wireless network adapter, while A500 has Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN, and both have Vista 32. It's the A500 which keeps disconnect the connection, it's as if it keeps restarting from the router. It will do this every few minutes and I can't do anything normally on the internet.

I tried to do something but nothing works. Updating the drivers for the adapter on the A500 does not resolve the issue, although A300D works normally without updates, so there must be something wrong with the adapter on the A500. I also have sellected maximum performance in Power Options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings > wireless card settings, because I read somewhere that energy-efficient settings can interfere with the adapter. I thought that this solution worked until he started to lose and by restoring the link again. Everyone guess what else could be wrong? I generally know how to fix things, but the wifi is a new thing for me and don't know much.

Yes, in this scenario, this could be the problem with the adapter. Then I suggest that you contact the hardware vendor.

  • Adobe stock keeps disconnecting me

    Hello

I was in my account profile etc settings investigation, but I have not found how to, how often should I be disconnected, I found nothing to do, even not the possibility, to state it diary. I'm worried about security, I want to be able to work - looking photos constantly without a break, I don't have the time to log in every few minutes.

Can someone who is Adobe explain that to me and to repair or change settings, so we can decide how many times, or if ever we want to close the session and is not some stupid automaton me will disconnect every few minutes. God I hate robots!

    Hi Nicole,.

Don't know what could happen, but can empty your cookies and browser history and see if this corrects the issue?
