Explorer Windows opening in 'my computer '.

By default, Win Explorer opens in the user account (ie: my documents or my pictures etc...).  I remember that if you add an order letter to "% SystemRoot%\explorer.exe" ln the Win Explorer shortcut properties box. Explorer opens in my computer (ie: list the drives).

Does anyone know the command line that you want to add to the Solution Explorer to open it in the default workstation?

Thank you.

Maybe, but it's Vista.

Quite simply, referring to the box properties on the shortcut Win Explorer.  Specifically the Traget box.  A few additional commands must be added to open the Explorer in my computer...

To add the computer to the boot:

1. create a shortcut to the desktop.
Start > right click on computer > display on desktop > right-click on the icon created just the desktop > click on create a shortcut.

2. start > all programs > right click at startup > either open, is open to all users > drag the computer shortcut in the startup folder.
See screenshot:

Reset. You will see the computer folder opens automatically.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

    2. what web browser do you use?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 2: Also I recommend you to scan your hard disk from the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

  • Explorer Windows stopped working when opening a folder

    Hello

I get this error "Windows Explorer has stopped working" for the past few months, every time I try to open a particular folder that contains 10-15 .avi files. This folder is located on an external hard drive and when I plugged the hard drive of a computer running XP it's the same thing. It throws this error and gives me 2 options,

    1. check online for a solution and restart the program.

    2. restart the program.

According to the option that I chose it closes all the windows in the Solution Explorer, and nothing happens.

I tried to copy the file from external hard disk to the local computer and the same thing happens when I try to access it. I don't think that's the problem with my computer as the same thing happens also on the XP machine.

    Please suggest what to do.

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model

Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.
