Export indesign cs5.5 to JPEG with/without background

Hello everyone.

I have a document with a tree (I did it myself on indesign) and a text on the side, and I would like to record both in the form of jpeg file. I tried several ways to do this, such as the export of the file and save it as a jpeg file, but it seems that when I do that there is always a white background, so I was wondering if I can somehow save it with or without this context because I need to print it in a paper bag (and the paper bag is black!).

I hope you can help me.

Well, it's not really important if the jpeg background is white unless you print white ink or you pring the background color to the bag at the same time, you print your images. Under normal conditions, the white areas are simply places where no ink is projected on paper. If you want a white ink, jpeg is not the right format because it supports either spot spot color channels, and would need a plate of special color for white spot.

But back to printing on a black bag... This lady has it all other black bags with things printed on them? It is the printer, or is she just order bags from a dealer?

  • Workspace export InDesign Cs5

I am trying to import my workspace to work in a new mac mini (lion) at home. I have a backup time machine (mac Leopard pro) work computer and I went searched the XML in your Applications / Adobe Indesign Cs5 / Presets / Indesign workspaces U.S. /en_. He was not there, I did a search and it did not. I created a new workspace with a unique name on the new mini and I could not locate where the file has been saved.

Any idea on how to export a workspace?

  • How to set up default InDesign CS5 in the system with InDesign CS4 has the default value?

How to set the application default .indd InDesign CS5 when you installed CS5 and InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS4 is the current default (InDesign CS4 has been installed after the installation of CS5)

Thanks, but I already tried at first, but is not effective.

I think that its because of this reason:
The two - InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS5 have their application/program/exe named "indesign.exe".

Installation of either InDesign CS4 or InDesign CS5, sets a default for the 'indesign.exe' Windows path. In this case, since InDesign CS4 was installed later (after InDesign CS5 was already installed), the "indesign.exe" which has been staged "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS5 has been replaced by "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS4.

But after long google and searching through regedit, I have the solution:

    1. Search for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InDesign.Document\Shell\Open\Command in regedit
    2. Change the value of the attribute (default) for "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe" '%1' / / including the quotes

  • Placement of the JPEG in InDesign CS5

    All,

I am creating a document, InDesign (CS5) intended for the screen alone (iPad), and I have a series of images of the same size that I will be flowing into the document - one per page.

Photoshop images are JPEG files (although I tried with TIFFs too, just to see without success) 732px x 72 dpi 1024px, then fill the top of iPad screen down and must be somewhat narrower the width of 768px for the iPad, it's OK.  Then, I created an InDesign document to 732px x 1024px, thinking that the images would pass in 100%.  However, I find the place images at about 50% or less, despite the Transform in ID palette mean the picture is 100%.  Its very special.

I looked through ID prefs to see if the document I created has a pre-set native resolution of, say, 96 or more, but can't find anything.

No idea why even Photoshop images and the identity document size do not match?

    All advice appreciated.

    Thank you

    /Timothy

When you select the Selection (black arrow) tool scale percentages are ALWAYS shown 100% becaue the framework is 100% of its current size (which is logical for someone). If you want to know the extent of the CONTENT of the image, you should use the direct Selection tool or double-click the image to select the content.

Which raise the question of how you do the frame when you place? Click on and release (should you give 100%, but see below), click and drag or predraw framework?

There was a bug, which may still exist, I think that in CS4, this ID casued scale of some images via click and release which had dimensions of the particular image and (I think) have been saved at 72 dpi (this last part is not exact). In addition, if the source directly from the camera image and has not been saved in a Publisher ID sometimes has difficulties to decide what size and resolution to use.

You posted in an old, dead, forum. But now, I found your message... Acrobat is not compatible with InDesign, they did not need to work together. You should NEVER use always distill with InDesign, export. Acrobat Pro preflight tools has, and the only version you can buy is Acrobat Pro DC.

  • Lines on images when exporting Indesign to JPEG

I get lines on the images when you export a jpeg file to indesign (with links to illustrator who have incorporated pictures into feathers). Help, please

The simple solution: do not use EPS. Use HAVE with PDF compatibility. No vector fonts, nest them.

    Hey Willi,

Sorry I'm new to this. Here are the answers to your questions and I hope you can give some tips.

    1 OSX 10.9.2

2 indesign CC2014 (I just started to use during the last two weeks)

3 illustrator CS3 (files that have been given to me, have been created to CS6), I made a few changes to fonts that in CS3 before I had CC bought, but I tried one of the files transferred directly into CC instead of CS3 back and he still has the same problem.

    4. the file I linked IS an eps, I always do an eps because with all my files I leave the fonts in the file have and save a second file, the eps where I saw all the fonts to save all of the possible problems of fonts. But you think that I shouldn't do this?

    5. you can see the lines in Indesign only when high-quality screen, they do not seem to remain in the same position, but at 100% and 200%, they are quite noticeable while 600% zoom, they become less bright. These are dotted lines, they appear differently in each different photograph. I'm not export in PDF, a jpeg file because its for on a Web site. If the lines are perceptible in the jpeg format. I just tried a pdf and they are also in the pdf file. We did not think that what was happening only to images, but in a single file where there is a shadow on the text, he did boxing odd sam-lines around the text.

6.I exports the JPEG from Indesign CC

    7. I open the jpeg in Photoshop.

9 seem to stay the same size. You don't see them at all in illustrator eps files.

    10. I can't talk about it. How would know that? Where is that located setting? Thank you

    11. I don't know how to look for color mode - modes are that indesign CC is in CMYK mode. Illustrator CMYK. But when I export as a jpeg I change into RGB in the export process. How can I find the color space? I'm not very technical minded. I'm sorry. That's why I freak out when I get questions like this. I thank very you much for trying to help me.

  • InDesign CS5.5 crashing during their epub export

I have an ebook in a few days and I hit a brick wall. I'm working on a 300-page InDesign document which is connected internally (no cross references). There are also some external http links. The text was delivered to me in Microsoft Word doc format. I found that InDesign disliked the links generated by Word and crashed during their epub export. I took me a while to understand that one. If I had no choice but to remove manually all 1600 links and add a link to them, and then tested a few pages. Success. It took 10 days.

Now that I'm ready to export, InDesign collapses, and this time I do not know why.  I removed all styles, all links and all text in the hyperlink - still in accidents. I suspect that indesign doesn't like TOC in large documents. The problem is, once you have called your table of contents, you can not delete it! So, I tried to copy + paste a few pages in my old test docs I know used to export without problems - and they do not have a table of contents. These exported correctly, even with the new style and links intact. Without crashing. But my original 300 page document still crashes whenever I try to export to EPUB.

So a solution - even if it is cumbersome - is I can move all my content page by page in a fresh document - with styles and links intact - and it won't crash. I started to test this with 5 pages, but InDesign is weird as arising from the text on the even or odd pages only, and not always to let the stream of content on the new blank pages.

I have included a link below in a zip file that contains the indd work and crash indd. At this point, I suspect that OCD is at the origin of the accident, but I'm not entirely sure.

    http://CL.LY/402G2M410l182D1R1J1v

    I tried the things:

export with NO link and NO style (in which case it was a https or & question) = always accidents

IDML export and then export as EPUB = always accidents

I have a few days left, so that all help figure this out would be greatly appreciated!

    Nathan

I would like to have better advice for you

Your conclusion seems to agree with mine on Sunday, where it seemed that the difference between a crashing and a non paper document was a harmless little extra line.

All I can offer is that this kind of problem is not really normal for InDesign, but EPUB is a rapidly changing area and so I'm afraid they are a domain which is not as developed as the rest of InDesign, and clearly, there are serious problems.

You can take it to the top with the support of Adobe, of course, but I don't know that they will be able to find you a solution in due course. Maybe someone else who treats the ePub files that I can weigh with some more useful tips.

I wonder if you can divide your document into several smaller documents and make a book (INDB file) and who then export. It can allow you to avoid going beyond the limit that you travel upwards.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, and I particularly regret what I can I have provided false hope that led you on the path of optimism while eating in your time. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help.

  • Large Volume of data merge issues with Indesign CS5

I recently started to use Indesign CS5 to design a piece of mail marketing which requires the fusion of data from Microsoft Excel.  With small spots up to 100 pieces, I don't have any problems.  However, I need to merge 2 000-5 000 items of data through Indesign on a daily basis and my lap top current was not able to manage the merger of more than 250 pieces at a time, and the merge process 250 takes 30-45 minutes if I have the chance and the software not crushed.

To resolve this problem, I bought a desktop computer with a second generation processor Core i7 and 8 GB of memerory, thinking that would solve my problem.  I tried to merge the track 1,000 of data with this new computer, and I was forced to restart Adobe Indesign after 45 minutes of no results.  I then merged 500 pieces and the task was completed, but the process took less than 30 minutes.

I need help with this problem because I can't find another software which can design my mail merge the way that Indesign can, however, the time it takes to merge large volumes of data is very frustrating because the software crash from time to time the after waiting a good 30-45 minutes to complete.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • Problem with resizing table InDesign CS5

I have problems with resizing of tables in InDesign CS5.

The width can be entered and a decrease, but the right height do move up nor down when you pull in the lower right corner or anywhere else on the base of the columns.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Is it a bug or maybe just me not understanding things correctly in the help...?

  • Exporting to PDF from InDesign CS5

Probably a real simple question to answer, but I am confused.  I'm trying to export a bulletin 6 pages in .pdf format from InDesign CS5; It comes out as a 4-page document in the following sense: the first page is fine (vertical on letter size), the 2nd and 3rd pages appear side by side (horiz. / letter) like pages 4 and 5.  Page 6 is again very well (vertical/letter).  I never had this problem with CS4...  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance, Wharton

  • A previous version of indesign CS5-exporter

Hi all... I need help to export my CS5 document in a format that allows to open a program of CS2. I said to export my CS5 document? But what extension enter on the end of my document? Export with the IDML extension? Or do I have the .inx option, which I did not? Also, if I am able to export, if I make changes to the document in CS2, how to make this return to CS5? Thank you guys so much. Really appreciate your help.

It is well documented that InDesign has helped will never save return a SINGLE version.

    CS3 could save in CS2.

    CS4 re-recorded in CS3

    CS5 re-recorded in CS4

With CS5, you can use the file > export and choose IDML (InDesign Markup Language)

Then open this file in CS4 and once again use file > export and this choice of time. INX

Then open that in CS3 and file > export and choose new INX

Do a search on the forums to keep backward compatibility - there's a big thread about it.

Be warned that all new features that are in CS5 that aren't in CS2 will be lost during the conversion.

It would be preferable for all participants, if the person with CS2, upgraded to CS5.

  • InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra?

Has anyone tried to see if InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra? I have creative cloud and CS5 on my machine, but due to some of the things that I have to work that only work with CS5 to CS6 I have to keep my old software. I hesitate to upgrade to Sierra until I know if InDesign CS5 will work or not.

If anyone has tested this, I would be recognizing the return flow, thank you.

It really depends what you do with it, and a large part of the framework has changes in the operating system for how the application is designed to run in. Your workflow can cause problems when the application works for others or you might be able to use it, but keep in mind has more no support for CS5 Adobe or Apple, so do not expect to solve any problems that you can discover.
