  You posted in an old, dead, forum. But now, I found your message... Acrobat is not compatible with InDesign, they did not need to work together. You should NEVER use always distill with InDesign, export. Acrobat Pro preflight tools has, and the only version you can buy is Acrobat Pro DC.

• Kerning issue between InDesign CS5 in a single machine vs another

  I'm having a problem with the kerning of one machine to another in InDesign CS5. When we have customized kern a font in a single spacing of copy machine seems fine. When this file is opened in another machine, the alignment of the fonts all changes. If someone has encountered this problem, someone could find a solution? It does not appear that the ID is silicate kerning instructions in the file.

  You may or may not have seen my follow up post in the forum, but in my case it was a problem of different versions, 7.0 vs 7.03... I thought that the machines were at parity, but our group had updates disabled on my machine, even after I applied the update. Uninstalling and reinstalling indesign and then by the 7.03 update fixed the issue. Thanks for your help.

• Make agricultural issues with AE CS5

  Hello, we are trying to install a render farm with 7 computers that are all connected to a periphery. All systems are running the rendering engine of the AE CS5 and all fonts and effects have been installed on each system. Each system is by looking at the record shows that we have created on a network client. I make sure in rendering parameters to activate the multimachine rendering and to check to skip existing files (allows a rendering of several computers) option.  I then collect the files and I make sure to enable watch folder render and also check the number of machines that will be returned. I make sure that the collect source files of selected comps is also selected. So when I send the files in the folder of the watch, some computers will see and begin to make the model and sometimes they won't. It seems to be random. Is this normal? I tried to change settings in memory and multiprocessing preferences on the rendering of the engines section and seems to be working at the time where that is not enabled. It's funny because when I made directly from my computer alone, it makes it much faster when 3, 4 or even 5 systems are running together. Now my system uses a settup in raid 0 with 3 drives raid system. I tried implementing the file look inside this raid0 setup in the main system and it does not seem to increase the speed with the then render farm. Any ideas or advice that everyone has with the rendering farms would be great!

  Well, do not of course: then do not use MP? It's actually pretty clear: you have effects in your projects that depend on temporal magic or are somehow usually no MP or network can be secured (MB resembles anyone?). Therefore, the issues seem to be pretty much what you would expect - it everything works in quirks mode and due to intense network activity for example when a temporal effect must decode several frames for analysis and can block a source element, see wait times where other bodies never kick. I'm afraid that this is beyond looking for a technical cause. This may be inherent in your entire workflow and how you structure your projects...

  This isn't really a problem. Fonts to store the glyph shape, not color.

  If you want your glyphs set color, create a character with the desired color (e.g. red) style and assign keyboard shortcuts

  Insert your glyph and use the keyboard shortcut to assign the character style.

  

• Data merge images shrink down proportionally to fit the image if it does not fit 100%

  I do a merger of large data of some labels and want the images to be narrowed proportionately to match the image if it is too large to fit 100%.

  What I've read, this is only possible with the data merge feature in InDesign. However, I think that it is possible using a script? In addition, there are three frameworks and I would like it to apply to one of the managers (once again, if this is possible).

  If this is feasible, how would I go on this subject? Is anyone able to write a script for me? Or have an existing one that I could use? I have had a look but couldn't find something similar.

  If you call pageItem by name - it returns 1st occurrence not all of them.

  You must browse the pageItems and check names.

  I just run in a new issue with Indesign interactive files.
  I made an interactive magazine for a client for one year.
  I downloaded a PDF question.
  Then when I went online to open the acrobat reader file gave an error that the file is not loading properly because the file was "complicated".

  The file works correctly with Pro and the hard disk drive.

  
  I uninstalled Acrobat Reader on the PC and the file online now opens correctly very well.
  But my client users have the same problem on the opening of the file online. Is there a new glitch in the online reader?

  Any ideas?

  A screenshot would be useful, but it seems that the post will in excess.

  When you open a file in a version newer than the text not redial using the new text engine until you interact with it, somehow, but then recomposes it using the rules of text of the current version and reflow is normal, but often the results of changes for purposes of line that can cause oversets in tables or at end of chapter.

  You can place a PDF file in an InDesign document, but you cannot modify it. You can make small amounts of editing PDF documents in Acrobat Pro.

  I wonder if your client is thought to an Acrobat form, where users can add data to text boxes and so on.

  I had trouble with InDesign (CS5) two years ago on my macbook pro. I have reinstalled twice which slightly improves its operation, but still it would crash when I tried to add pages or view my images placed in a high quality display. I thought that my problem was the lack of RAM (4 GB), I had on my laptop because Photoshop and Illustrator would be would break also occasionally with large files.

  But... I have just recently to plug an iMac with 16 GB of RAM, and any transfer to my laptop using the migration wizard. InDesign crashes now without opening it at all. Photoshop and Illustrator work very well.

  I tried inDesign as a guest user and it's the same problem.

  I have read forums and have tried to locate the preferences folders to move, but they are not here:

  Drive hard/users / < USER > / Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign / < Version # > / < language > /.

  Disk hard/users / < USER > / Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign / < Version # > / < language > /

  I have also considered uninstalling and reinstalling on my iMac, but how do I do this without a hard drive?

  Please let me know if there is more information I can give you that will help you will help me, I need inDesign for my major work for United and darn fear!

  I'm having a problem with InDesign CS5.5 running on 10.7.5. I have two empty gaps that I need to remove, but every time I try, it asks:

  "The affected pages contain objects. Delete pages anyway? »

  I click OK and InDesign crashes all the time. There is no object on the page, I applied without a master unhid and unlocked everything and he can not know! Does anyone have a solution?

  Altogether. Resave as .indd (preferably with a new name in order to not replace the old file) didn't continue with the new file. Export to .idml has the effect of eliminating a lot of stuf that does not need to open the file (old record data and previews, which is rewritten) then sometimes it removes any minor problem that happens.
