Export rules Foglight

Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to export the rules to a new instance of an instance of Foglight?  We set up a separate foglight for non-produits env and I want to move our customs regulations export and import if possible rather than recreating each of them.

Thank you

Chris

The easiest way is to use the cartridge Foglight IDE everything bundle up and install that cartridge on the new host.  It can be used for rules, metrics, dashboards etc...  http://fglide.apmcentral.org/

    You have a question on export rules and schedules to import into a new instance of the foglight...

    Long story short, ive reinstalled our foglight instance

    I have the plugin vfoglight of surveillance, covering the major part of the environment. I have several custom build rules in the old instance that I do not have to manually rebuild

    Can anyone offer any assistance on this?

    From the configuration options as rules, variables of register, measures derived and related FMS to another:

    1. any amended export options of configuration of the source of the FMS:

    > fmshost - srv fglcmd [.sh] - port 8080 - usr - pwd foguserpwd1 cmd - foglightuser util:configexport - f fmsconfig.xml edition

    2. manually edit the generated XML file to remove all items except the selected configurations. Make sure that you do not corrupt the XML file when you perform this operation.

    3. import the edited. XML file that contains only the settings selected in the FMS target:

    > newfmshost - srv fglcmd [.sh] - port 8080 - usr - pwd fogusrpwd1 cmd - foguser util:configimport f editedfmsconfig.xml

  • export rules

    Is it possible to export off the coast of the IPS rules so that the export rules?  I use a 4240 IPS 6.x and via the GUI, I am able to export a "Summary" of rules, but not the rules themselves.

    Is it possible to do this through the CLI or GUI?

    I would like to know if this is confusing

    Thank you

    Evan

    No, your 'rules' are placed in configurations, signatures of cisco are downloaded in a format compiled and installed on the hard drive as files and compiled sensors in the signatures database. I don't think that you can see more details on a signature in the cli, you can in the GUI, but I could be wrong

  • Copy the settings of Notification E-mail off Foglight v5.5.8:

    Hello

    I am currently looking to upgrade my system Foglight V5.5.5 at V5.5.8: to take advantage of new alarms set up in overall Administration.  A step that would preserve the time for the upgrade is the ability to configure all the settings of the alarm on my Foglight Test Server and move the table to the Production.  I heard that there is a cartridge PSO there that can do it, but I was wondering if there is another way to achieve this.  Anyone sings it before?

    P

    You can export rules/registry variables once you're done set them up in your test environment. Please make sure that your test and production environment, both are compatible Foglight version. You can use the JMX Foglight console as well for rules/registry variables.

  • Looking for a method to search for rules that use a particular registry variable

    Hello

    "mark".

    Mark,

    One method would be to export the foglight configuration to a file using the fglcmd program. You can find the file in the registry variable that interests you. You will see references to registry variables in the section rules.

    Example of export of the foglight management server bin directory:

    C:\Quest_Software\Foglight\bin>fglcmd.bat - usr - pwd foglight cmd - foglight util:configexport f filexxx

  • Bug in "DBSS" - not available on a database mirror? Or a real failure?

    Does anyone else make false positives on 'DBSS' rule - not available for mirrored databases?

    Once every week or two I get a fatal alert "Not available" for the 'DBSS' rule - not available on all databases mirrored to my server.  It takes only a few minutes in Foglight, then goes back to a normal state.

    I looked at the newspaper database monitoring for the mirror and the principle, all SQL server and Agent logs, all the server event logs... nothing.  The history of all mirrored databases have no signs of availability according to the real itself SQL Server issues.

    The only reference to this rule Foglight is:

    https://support.quest.com/search/SolutionDetail.aspx?ID=SOL76183

    Go through the article, I looked at the data stored in the "DB" State for the affected databases, it says "Not available" for the times, that the alert has developed.  However, I can't find anywhere on the current SQL Server where this error can come.

    I have not particualrly want to go rushing to false positives fatal alert indicating that my mirror is not available

    Any thoughts on what I might try?  Everyone knows about this problem?

    Or is this just a blip?

    See you soon,.

    Thank you, Paul.

    We opened a proof of support as well.  It turns out that we have the updated version of the cartridge, is currently under investigation.

  • VPN problem taking in charge the VRF CSR

    Hello community,

    I am currently evaluating CSR at AWS (60 day trial) and already around the usual problems and specialty architecture network AWS design.

    I can't open a TAC case, because we purchased no license. We will, once this last problem is solved.

    Current configuration:

    • Two councillors in a VPC in two AZs
    • Transit between two advisers of the GRE tunnel
    • running supports the BGP VRF
    • using door VRF
    • the RSC is connected to several AWS VPC (customers) via the AWS VPN feature - route entirely mesh based VPN--a VRF customer - all running with BGP
    • Link to local is done in the same way: entirely mesh route based VPN - using door VRF - all running with BGP
    • VRF import/export rules

    It works fine - no problems here. All HA tests work as expected. So far, so good.

    Now, we had to create a VPN connection to a special local location of our society. We should create a policy based VPN location (no support for VPN road based there). It is a two-to-one VPN. Two advisors of the connection to a gateway onPrem. The two tunnels, run the same field of encryption. OnPrem routing is based on the State of the tunnel. We put this tunnel in the VRF door of entry. Routes are injected to the door VRF routing table by VPN process (reverse-way static in crypto map). To get these exported to consumer VRF routes, there is a network statement in door VRF BGP process.

    Well, this also works fine if we do this only with CSR A. Reachablity is out. CSR B the delivery of the CSR due to taking work supported the VRF VPN. However, if we establish the second CSR B tunnel, there is something strange happens.

    Tunnel is very well implemented. Traffic through the tunnel at CSR B is accepted and routed to the destination. Created at door VRF on CSR B traffic is routed in its own VPN very well. However, traffic from a VRF client who reached CSR B (traceroute proved that) is not routed through the VPN tunnel, despite the VPN client routing table is to say. CSR A running the same configuration, there is no problem. Only on the CSR B.

    I don't understand this. If remove us the configuration of the tunnel of CSR and create only tunnel on CSR B, it still does not. I don't understand why, because I did a comparison of config and found no difference.

    Someone at - it an idea, whats going on?

    How can I debug this problem?

    CSR - A:

    B 172.29.13.176/28 [20/0] via 1.1.119.182 (vrf - default), 3w4d

    CSR - B:

    with route (doesn't work is not for the customer VRF)
    B 172.29.13.176/28 [20/0] via 1.1.119.182 (vrf - default), 00:00:02

    No itinerary (work, because only sent by public transit to the CSR - A)
    B 172.29.13.176/28 [20/0] via 192.168.254.53 (vrf - default), 00:38:23

    This problem is hard to describe, I would really appriciate discuss with a TAC engineer in a WebEx. Is this possible?

    Thank you.

    Hello Tobias,.

    The problem you describe is going to be outside our CSR platform expertise. Looks like the CSR works well and HA works as well, and now you're trying to find a solution to a problem of network/VPN that you are facing.

    Our team is led to find an internal resource to resolve your issue, please allow us a day or two to get back to you with an answer

  • FDMEE - LCM problem

    Hi all

    We are having a problem exporting our rules of loading data FDMEE for our largest application in LCM.  When we click on export, it still fails (all other elements are able to export successfully).  The SharedServices_LCM.log file contains the following error message:

    Unable to connect to 'FDM Enterprise Edition' during application export. Received status code - with "500" error message - "Error 500 - Internal Server Error Error 500 - Internal Server Error of RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol - HTTP/1.1: 10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error the server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented him from meeting the demand.". " Does not cause possible error no server available for connection.

    We have the DLR 2 224 so I don't know if the size has nothing to do with it.  Export of our other small application of the DLR works very well.

    Any ideas?

    THX,

    Mike

    This problem is solved now.  Open a SR with Oracle ran newspaper and came across this line in the ERPIntegrator log:

    oracle.jbo.TooManyObjectsException: Houston-25013: too many objects correspond to the oracle.jbo.Key [4019 primary key 9]

    We went in the AIF_BALANCE_RULES table and saw 4019 was a number RULE_ID.  We have removed this rule and then tried to export rules in loading data via LCM again.  Then we had another error in the log:

    oracle.jbo.TooManyObjectsException: Houston-25013: too many objects correspond to the oracle.jbo.Key [4110 primary key 5]

    We have removed the table AIF_BALANCE_RULES, and then re-run LCM 4110 and magically it worked.  So it was clearly something on both of the DLR LCM disliked about the primary key.

    This problem is solved for us... for now.

    THX,

    Mike

  • DRS-Backup Script

    Hi all

    I have a script to back up all the DRS Rules in current vCenter and import into the new vCenter for migration, but has a few virtual machines to host rules "run VMs on host" type. So, I found that there is a way around to create such a rule by creating groups of MV and host groups, and then the rule. But I can not find how to get the already existing groups in old vCenter and import it into the new vCenter. That's what I use to import and export rules of the VMAffinityType-

    Export-

    If (Test-Path-Path $outfile) {}
    Remove-Item $outfile
    }
    Get-data center | %{
    $dcName = $_. Name
    $_ | Get-Cluster | %{
    $clusterName = $_. Name
    $rules = $_. Get-DrsRule
    {if ($Rules)}
    {foreach ($rule in $rules)
    $line = $dcName + ', ' + $clusterName
    $line += ("," + $rule.) Name + ', ' + $rule. Permit + ', ' + $rule. KeepTogether)
    foreach ($vmId in $rule. VMIds) {}
    $line += ("," + (get-View-Id $vmId).) Name)
    }
    $line | Out-file - add $outfile
    }
    }
    }
    }

    Import-

    $rules = get-Content $outfile

    {foreach ($rule in $rules)

    $ruleArr = $rule. Split(",")

    If ($ruleArr [3] - eq "True") {$rEnabled = $true} else {$rEnabled = $false}

    If ($ruleArr [4] - eq "True") {$rTogether = $true} else {$rTogether = $false}

    Get-data center $ruleArr [0] | Get-Cluster $ruleArr [1] | `

    New-DrsRule-name $ruleArr [2] - permit $rEnabled - KeepTogether $rTogether - VM (VM-Get-name ($ruleArr [5..)) (()_$ruleArr.Count_-_1)]))

    }

    Here are the scripts of LUCD!

    Can someone suggest a good way to integrate what I'm looking for these?

    Fixing of the screens showing my current rules

    Thank you

    Have you ever seen need a script to export & import of DRS rules. ?

    In this thread, the rules (including groups) are exported with the vNugglets script, and I've provided a modified version of the functions of Arnim to read the return policy. At the end of the script attached to this post is my script to read information from the CSV file.

  • Concern of Calc Manager

    Hello

    In the version of calc Manager - 11.1.2.3, when I copy a business rule between applications in calc Manager comments in

    the code disappears.

    Any idea what could be? Or is some sort of bug?

    Thank you

    EbrauerP

    1. go to Shared Services in the original application. Take the Group of application corresponding to your request. Then, open the Types/Calc Plan Manager rules. Right click on the rule that you want to export, and then save the file. The exported rule should produce an XML file.

    2 return to Calc Manager and access the application target/rules and then to the right, click Import. Select the previously exported file.

    3. after importation, deploy the rule.

  • Fix CSS error

    I am creating a website for a client and its connection to ice everything works except the ability to display styles css in Ice while my text is in CSS and all styles have been created on the model, so whenever I try to join a region editible page style, he tells me that I need to attach styles to the page.  When I try to join I can't, I don't see that my model and when I tried to reach that (hopefully the css of it he would take) nothing happening (not a surprise).

    I really need to recreate my stylesheets on every page? This seems unlikely.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you

    Hello Angela,.

    Since all my text was created using style sheets it is necessary to apply a class from the drop-down list at all?

    I don't know if I can really answer, since it is based on how you want your region to behave. If you apply the style class to the region, when the Publisher changes the text in the region, it will use the class style associated with the region. If you don't want the region to use the style rules of class while you do not have a class on the region.

    And finally, how can I do an external style sheet to attach?

    You can easily manage styles that are in the head section of the template and move them into an external style sheet. Take a look at the next section of using Dreamweaver to move/export the CSS rules:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSD152C40D-CCA8-4901-BD43-FB9F1471A986a .html

    When you move and export rules in a stylesheet external, Dreamweaver automatically home/links the external stylesheet to the document.

    If you then / link to join the external style sheet to another document in the site (one that is not based on the model), do the following: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WScbb6b82af5544594822510a94ae8d65-7e1ca .html
