Exported JPGs more saturated appear in LR

I have LR5.3. I barely noticed it. Not sure whether or not it has been the case for some time. When I export from LR and make as sRGB jpg images, they are more saturated. Also, when I discovered in the Web Panel images are more saturated. Is this normal?

Yes, ssprengel sums up.

To put everything in very simple terms - and I repeat myself here: use only software successful color with this monitor. Software that's not color management will never display properly on a U2410. No question. Never. So find out who is and who is not, and which includes native applications for OS (Windows Picture Viewer is is not Windows Explorer).

If you send pictures far and don't know where or how they will be considered (including Internet), convert it to sRGB and embed the profile.

Always keep the calibrated and profiled monitor, as well as the color of managed applications having a monitor profile is valid for working with. This is the second absolute requirement that applies especially to the wide range of monitors.

There is no particular reason to use the Adobe RGB preset on the monitor. You can create a profile on the top of the presets, but it is preferable to use "custom", puts the device in its native state without restriction. But once the profiles, do not change the preset.

I have a wide range of Eizo, and if you obey these simple rules there is nothing to her. Everything works as expected.

  • JPG too saturated export

I use lightroom 5.3 and export a jpg file from a file with lots of pink and white.  I have "watered down" the roses in the develop module and it loogs good on my calibrated monitor.  When I export however, colors (pink especiall) are much more saturated (as displayed in windows exporer) or printed by an online service.  The image looks also good via soft proffing in sRGB in perceptual and relative.  Any ideas as to why the change on export.

    Thank you

  • Exports RAW to JPG lighter they appear in the library

    Hello

I'm new to the world of photography and have a bit of trouble when using Lightroom.

I have a new Olympus PEN EPL-5 and Lightroom 4.3 running on Windows 7.

When I import of the FIRST (.) ORF files) they are dark in general, but when export to JPG format, they are more light, similar to what looks like native JPG of the device.  So if I 'fix' the ORF file in quick develop or develop, it becomes too light/bright/sur-exposée.

Let me show you what I mean.  Here on the left is file import RAW with parameters develop = 'none' and on the right is an export to jpg "sRGB" color space

    LR-RAW-import-JPG-export.jpg

Now, if I adjust the RAW format (.) ORF) file in LR, I can get it close to the JPG format to the right above, but when I export, it becomes way too bright

    LR-RAW-fixed-JPG-toolite-exported.jpg

Does anyone have any ideas why the RAW library image is so far off the coast of the exported JPG image?

This 'problem' of course makes use Lightroom very difficult because I can't tell how the changes in LR will truly turn once exported.

I'm open to any ideas on how to correct this problem.

    Thank you

    D

You have a bad monitor profile. It affects Lightroom, but not Picasa Photo Viewer that is not color managed and just ignores the monitor profile.

The immediate way to deal with to define the generic sRGB as your monitor profile. Go to control panel > color management > Devices tab. It looks like this:

If sRGB is not already in the list, click "Add." and scroll down until you see. Full name sRGB IEC 61966 - 2.1.

The right way to fix it is to calibrate the monitor.

  • Photos of more saturated than Library Web and develop.

The photos in the Web Module are more saturated than in modules library, Develop, book or a slide show.  The Web Gallery uploaded/exported seems normal is only displaying in the Web Module.  Here are the screenshots of the classic Gallery, but the other galleries are also affected.

The screen is calibrated using a Spyder 5 and this seems to be a new problem that I remember this problem in versions prior to 2015.7.  Using OS X 10.11.6

The problem is that the Web module does not use the screen profile.  See the bug report, I have just tabled for how I confirmed that: Web module does not use the screen color - incorrect color management profile | Community customer Photoshop family . I linked to this topic, but add your vote me-too and opinion for the bug report to make it more likely that Adobe could give priority to a solution.

  • The exported photos do not appear in the Finder

I just discovered a quirk in the photos that might confuse some users how it confused me for a while.   It seemed to me to export successfully to the photos and videos from the photos app in a folder on my desktop, but they do not. Everything seemed to work. What was wrong?

I used the Terminal command to "show all files" and... that is, they were there exactly where I put them. What happened is that I have selected 'use the title' for the name of the file, but I had deleted all the titles, there is no information. Now I realize that I would have changed my preference finder to show all file extensions, and would have shown the speed to the top with nothing else than the extension:

    .jpg

    .jpg (1)

    .jpg (2)

    .jpg (3)

    etc.

The lesson is, do not delete your pictures titles or if you do, do not export your photos by selecting this option.

WoW!  It's really interesting. Thanks for sharing this!

I tried to reproduce this, and of course, I see the same thing on OS X 10.11.4.  The problem is, that a title erasing does not remove the title but creates a blank title, so that the picture has a title that is invisible.

As a test, import three new photos to multiple:

The first has a title, the other had a title, but deleted, the third party has never had a title.

When I select and export with title use 'as filename', only two photos will be displayed in the Finder.

The problem is, that deleting a title does not remove the title, but adds an empty title. If the photos are exported with the filename ".jpg".

And even make the Finder always show file extensions will not reveal the exported '.jpg' files in the Finder.

As a workaround solution, do not erase the title completely, but use an underscore character, as in the empty title '_' or similar. There needs to be a visible figure, a space is not enough.

  • Photoshop does not include metadata in exported jpg

When I export my photos as jpg in Photoshop, the jpg images contain not all metadata.

I have RAW files from Sony and Nikon cameras with the metadata (date taken and the camera info). During the processing of the images through Lightroom, metadata are correctly transferred to JPG files. When I opened the pictures in Photoshop, I can correctly display the metadata by file-> file Info... so Photoshop recognizes correctly the metadata. It just does not write it for the exported jpg images.

    How can I fix?

No idea, maybe in an another half dozen feature releases export as will be to provide the same functionality as Save for Web.

Hello, I'm trying to export jpg high-resolution printing, 3000px.

    2 questions:

Should what settings I do for this export?

How can I check what size he is after export?

In Mac Help, Lightroom 6, no cc.

    current settings under:

    image resizing

    resizing to fit - enabled

    3000px long edge

    Resolution 300pixels by thumb

    do not enlarge: checked

    Thanks for the reply

also if a request for a photo output is simply, ' high resolution jpeg, 3000px ' would be - that give what I need?

It is an unfortunately typical piece of nonsense about what you need to submit a photo. This is a meaningless statement. You should ask for details. It might be, they don't really know what they want, or they can not properly express what they want, or that they are so poorly informed about digital photography, all they tell you is nonsense.

How can I check which is the number of px?

If you choose to export with long edge to 3000 pixels, you should not check. I just accept that Lightroom has given me what I asked. But if you check, your operating system can tell you the size in pixels.

  • I see the pictures on my screen of smartphones more saturated and more compairing dark looking for my laptop screen

I take raw photos what kind of an export thing make me see, on my smartphone, I can see on my laptop

If you have calibrated your computer screen to watch 'correct', there is no way to do it with your phone.

If it's just a matter of viewing the raw files before they are changed, it will depend on the viewing app. When a raw file is considered first of all, it is normally the preview JPG which is indicated first, then raw data are interpreted and the display is refreshed with these data, which usually contains none of the improvements of the camara because of the profile of the camera. In the case of your phone, the preview JPG is probably what you're going to get.

If the exported JPG files are different, it is often due to the calibration of the screen or you forgot to select sRGB as the color space of output when exporting.

  • Export jpg from Lightroom 5.6 does not open in other applications

Recently, I noticed that the exported jpgs of Lightroom 5.6 cannot be opened in Canon DPP 3.14 and cannot be resized using Image Resizer plugin. Two of them that I use frequently.

I've seen talk about this question re other applications also. Does anyone know if there is a solution?

    I am using 8.1 Windows 64 bit. 5 D Mark ii

It's a problem with 5.5 (changed the placement of some of the internal headers of JPGs and other applications, including the DPP, could not open them), but has been corrected to 5.6. I just check on it by exporting a jpg file and open it without problem in PLR 3.14.15, Windows 7 x 64. Are your 'old' LR 5.5 jpgs?

  • I can't export photos more

I can not export photos more, when I press the button export the normal screen comes up but slightly different and NO export... button would not because I don't have 10 days left on the trial period would be there? It's never happened before!

The export button is sitting at the bottom of the export dialog box, in accordance with the attached screenshot. Your photo does not show the bottom of the Panel, it ends just above the bottom. We need to see the whole Board, not 90% of it, if (with apologies if this is a stupid question) can you confirm that the entire Board is located within the display area of the monitor and not partially off the screen?

Export JPG with NO exif, 'Except' comments

    * I find that for a number of things I export LR with no. Exif JPG files, but must KEEP comments in the Exif data.

    Why? you ask...

    (1) forums, when I want to post a JPG with Exif of NO... BUT when I post comments automatically post comments or Description of the photo.

    (2) I Upload files jpg with no exif of a Magazine I take party photos for... and on the comments section is where I list the names of the people in the photos.

    * Even on sites like SmugMug and glitter... Comments get downloaded... but sometimes you don't want the EXIF on everything.

Minimize embedded metadata is TOO small, right? (wipe the comments too).

    Looks like a good FR.

  • Some imported more saturated jpg... why?

I am a Flash slideshow and each slide is a jpg file. I created and saved all the jpgs with Photoshop, but some of them are extremely too saturated when imported into Flash. The part that confuses me the most, is that it's not all of them. There are a few that are perfect. I've tried everything I can think of to fix including: Save as a different file type (I tried tiff and png), all importers together, separately of their import, import directly to step straight to the library and adjust the properties of files jpg (I tried using the imported jpeg data and allows you to manually adjust the quality). Nothing I've tried doesn't change anything.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Furthermore, I use CS3 and XP Pro.

  • A few color images are more saturated, creating almost a neon effect. Show the same images in IE

When you view JPEGs on a web page, I often notice that images appear too saturated, creating almost a neon effect. These images seem normal in the photo shop, and they appear normal in Internet Explorer.

It seems to happen more with darker images.

This may be due to a problem with the profile for your monitor screen colors or color profiles embedded in images.

You can disable color management to test this.

You can set the pref to 0 on the subject gfx.color_management.mode: configuration page to disable color management.

You have to close and restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
