• Question connection with Blast after upgrade to view 6.1.1 ("your office may have a security certificate not approved")

  Hello guys,.

  We are facing a very strange problem with Blast after the upgrade to view 6.1.1. Let me show you the scenario:

  We have two security servers (paired with two servers connection).

  On both servers security (and on the servers of connection), the default self-signed certificate is used.

  Secure Tunnel, PCoIP Secure Gateway and Secure Gateway Blast are activated.

  Users access it from internet via Netscaler which balance the traffic load and present a trusted signed certificate.

  For now I won't go in deeper into the Netscaler configuration, as it was working fine.

  We were on view Horizon 5.2 and everything worked fine! ...

  After the upgrade to view 6.1.1 we are unable to connect using the web browser! We can open a session and select the desktop, but as soon as the connection to the desktop is launched, we receive the following error message:

  "Your Office has been disconnected.

  Try to reconnect to the office...

  Your office can have an untrusted security certificate. Click here to accept the security certificate, then try to connect to your desktop again. »

  

  If we click on the link, we are redirected to something like https://Blast_External_URL:8443/r/F386565D-D068-4AC1-BFD3-3A903CBEB235/certAccept.html , receiving a blank page with the following text:

  "Could not resolve the route of proxy for the request.

  Just before the upgrade, we have been able to use the HTML Protocol! We have does no change at all, so I really think it's related to some changes introduced by the new version of Horizon view, but may not know what is causing the problem.

  No problem connecting with the customer to view Horizon (PCoIP and RDP).

  If in the external URL Blast Secure Gateway, we insert the hostname of the server security instead of the external URL (Netscaler), we are able to connect but of course only from our local network.

  Someone at - it ideas?

  Yes, I found a solution for this. In our case the issue was resolved by changing the configuration of Netscaler.

  In the past, we use SSL offloading and worked all protocols. It seems that with the new version of view SSL offloading does more work.

  Change the Service and virtual server on ports 443 and 8443 for SSL to SSL_BRIDGE solved our problem.

  I have workstation 7.0 and you want to use the expand Disk feature. I have a virtual disk of 60 GB, which is NOT taking any space or the file size is currently about 33 GB. I want to increase from 60 GB to 80 GB, but I want to understand how this will be repeated as I threw it off the coast of thought, this would be a quick thing that I assumed it was more a thing of config (given that the disc has not been extended to 60 GB already), but it seems to do took ages on the creation of a temporary in the case of virtual disk file. When he got like 20 GB, I cancelled the process that I was afraid that it would create a file of 80 GB and I have only 50 GB left on this disc!

  Thus, the questions are:-

  -It creates a temporary file of 80 GB?

  -If so, why?

  -It will have to develop the real virtual disk to 80 GB file to complete the operation? (I like to have it use only properly!)

  the simplest and by far cleaner to do is to add another disk.

  You can expand the vmdk you now - but it will not work if you have snapshots.

  It will not grow as the partition, so you should always use third-party tools to extend the partition - as extpart.exe or gparted LinuxLiveCD.

  To answer your questions:

  the disc will not extend to the new nominal size of 80 GB and develop it does not use a large temp file.

  Expansion may add a few mbs only - but then you will always fix the partition.

  Attention - the expansion is done in place so you must know how to manage the partition expansion before trying this.

  Unfortunately, we do not know what operating system your guest is - so we cannot tell you how to do better

  By 'old' are you referring to the AirPort Express (model A1084) to 802.11 g? If Yes, then you won't be able to use it to extend the latest Express with a wireless connection between them.

  However, you can use it in a roaming network configuration, which would force base stations to be connected by Ethernet.

  There was only a sybol bit down on your screen that you can simply press on and each open window would be minimized.  I don't know which computer I have, it's one with windows 8, but I use the classic interface.   You should be able to get on the desktop by left clicking your mouse pointer completely on the lower right of the task bar.

  I just installed a Linksys WRT160N router. The signal started of good about 50 to 70 feet of the location of routers. Now the signal is part as low in many, 54 Mbps. I was wondering what options I might have to install a wireless for the expansion of the signal bridge. I configured a network encrypted with WPA2. Any advice would be appreciated to help me buy the right bridge. Also, I wonder what would be the technical difficulty to install and configure. I have configure the WRT160N myself if it means something.

  I updated the firmware on routers to the latest version. He used the firmware from 2007. I have udated the Intel wireless adapter to a newer version of the driver. I choose channel 8 in the range of 2.4 Gig for the router and choose channel 8 for the adapter.  I increased a couple of options for the adapter wireless beyond the default option. I don't have that options a, B and G for the adatper, no N option. I guess that you may not have everything. Now the signal is very good (54 Mbit/s) and I always use WPA2-Personal.   1. What is the exact error code or message that you receive, when you say 'Explorer.exe '?
  2. Exactly when you receive this error message?
  3. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
  4. When you say, "preparing your desktop", you see no latency during the Windows logon?

  According to your description, the question may arise due to file system corruption. Thus, I would you recommend to disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer except the mouse and keyboard, restart your computer and check if your screens hung up on "preparing your desktop". Apart from this, I would suggest trying the following solutions and check if the problem persists.

  Method 1:

  The opening of explorer.exe, if you get the error "Server execution failed", then I suggest you to try the hotfix in the following link and check the issue.

  Error message when you try to start Explorer.exe in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2: "Server execution failed".

  If this method does not address your problem, try the next method.

  Method 2:

  Try to run a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor to check any file corruption:

  After having developed the disc, you will need to extend the partition into the too guest OS.

  Assuming that you have only one disk D:\ C:\and in the virtual machine and the extra space on the virtual disk is adjacent to the drive D:\ you can use the diskpart utility to extend the D:\drive (partition), unless it contains for example the pagefile.

  To develop the diving D:\, follow these steps:

  Start-> Run-> cmd.exe

  DiskPart
  list volumes

  Select volume # (the number of the disk D:\)

  extend

  output

  output

• How to extend your VMFS on Esxi host capacity

  I have an IBM X 3650. I originally had 3 discs with a RAID5. This host machine running 2 servers virtuial. We decided to add 2 virtual servers on that host computer and increase memory, HD capability and add an additional processor. Everything goes well until I tried to understand how to develop a data store on the host computer.

  I have setup a test machine (very similar to the production host same controller raid, same type of machine) to play with trying to figure this out without screwing up my production box. I found mutiple documentation for older versions and some esxi4.1, but nothing that helps me. I am very new to VmWare. I have the camera showing a capacity of 1.09 TB but the VMFS volume shows 830,52 GB. I will be happy to provide you with all the necessary information to help get this resolved.

  The article assumes that you already added the new capacity of disks / on the existing game/logical RAID drive.

  Looking for a script to extend the hard disk to SCSI 0:0 on a given VM according to the following logic.

  1. take a CSV entry with vmnames

  2. check each VM in the csv file if hard drive connected on SCSI node 0:0 corresponds to 15 GB.

  3. Enter the data store that have the drive and check if the free space is greater than 46 GB

  4. If the hard drive is equal to 15 GB and the data store that it hosts have more than 46 GB of free space, and then set a new size of 20 GB to the HDD. (e.g. to increase the size of 5 GB)

• Extend your virtual drive without removing stereotypes?

  I've seen a lot of comments that describe how to develop one of the size of the virtual disk - by removing its snapshots.  I hope there is a way to increase my space without having to do it.  At this point, I take a snapshot after installing a logical grouping of applications.  For example, I have a snapshot of XP in its State prisine, one for VS 2005 and one for VS 2008.

  I guess I could add another virtual disk, but then what?

  Have you considered using templates instead of snapshots for your purpose? Snapshots are a great way to create a milestone in time (and back), but I also found useful for deployment of standard images models. I believe that over a period of time (depending on the number of changes) virtual machines with instant will have the problem disk space usage and performance degradation. One way to fix this is to scrap & create a new virtual machine from a desired image

  Mozilla creates very, very little extensions / modules itself. An Add on Firefox for Chromecast must come from a 3rd party or Google Developer.
