  I have a Satellite L650-11R(that's what's written on the box) and my problem is that I found the latest drivers for my Mobility Radeon HD 5650 series and when well even as the site of AMD says that this driver is mobility graphics cards when I want to install the computer tells me that these drivers support not my graphic instrument and if I go to Device Manager the only card that appears is the VGA! So now the only drivers that I can install are outdated (8.753.0.0)
  And im wondering why I am condemned to use these wwhen out-of-date driver clearly there's more recent avalible?

  Why you are looking for on the AMD Web site directly to the latest drivers? All drivers for your computer is located on the Toshiba official European driver download page:

  And I don t understand why it s a problem with older drivers. Not always the most recent driver is the best.
  In addition, only the drivers provided on the official website of Toshiba are pre-tested and designed for your laptop. Install the other drivers that happens on your own risk

  Yes, before you install the new video card, you should go to Device Manager, click to expand the display of the maps, right-click in the graphics section and select uninstall.

  Depending on the operating system that you are running, if there is a driver uninstall box to check, check this box.

  Instead of restarting the PC, simply close it down, unplug it, install your new video card and you should be all set, and as Eric posted, you install the new drivers in Windows 'normal' mode

  If you lose your integrated audio system (you can according to the model) If your new video card has an HDMI output port, you will need to go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting.

  It will be either automatic or off value.

  Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out.

  After reboot and return to windows, you should have the on-board audio back.

  Satellite L500D - 16L belongs to the series of PSLT9E.
  You can choose this in order to get all the drivers for the laptop.

  But in many cases the driver versions are not similar to the latest versions available on the pages of graphics card manufacturer.
  To the point that the Toshiba drivers are modified and released the mobile use FRO drivers ATI/NVidia don't support overheating protection that helps to control the temperature of the GPU.

  The use of these drivers is therefore always at you own risk

  Further to have better graphics during the game, I bought recently NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256 MB AGP 8 x video card. Since I installed this card, windows has installed its driver game by default "Microsoft generic display drivers" and the quality of the graphics is off nominal. Also the 1366 x 768 resolution widescreen is currently not available. The best resolution I have now is 1024 x 768. In this resolution, the graphics of Windows seems very strange on my LG 19 "widescreen monitor.

  I tried to install the graphics card drivers on the NVidia site for the old version of Windows, but the drivers are installed with an error message "Pilot" not Compatible with this Version of Windows.

  By default windows drivers has release date older than the drivers supplied on OEM for Windows XP.

  Please help me to get the drivers for the AGP card compatible with my Windows 8 Pro.

  Or how can I force install the older drivers in Windows 8.

  Windows 8 compatibility reports that NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 graphic card is compatible with Windows 8. Check out the link

  You can check if you have downloaded the 64 bit version of the graphics driver rather than 32-bit.  It could be the possibility for this error message.

  Or select the option on the Nvidia site to scan your system to find the correct driver?

  The fact is that Toshiba to recommend to use the Toshiba graphics card drivers because this driver has an overheating protection. These drivers one specially designed for the use of the laptop and it s not recommended to use any other rivers that are designed for desktop use.

  If you use other drivers, you can do so at you own risk!

Now I have a qosmio g40-10 with nvidia geforce 8600 with 512 video memory. Because this card is purely not enough for the high-end gaming today, I want to update at least 1 GB of video memory. Like many people here, I tried to find some information online but its just waste of time. Logically that laptops Toshiba chassy is almost the same, of course mounting screws can be different, but ultimately, it's a project. The only problem is the motherboard, I heard that this motherboard is unable to accept certain graphics cards.

  If you have some info on this please let me know.

  I guess that you know very well that the possibilities of upgrade on mobile units are very limited; especially GPU or CPU upgrade and laptop manufacturers offer don t any kind of support. Because of the design specific common problem for mobile units is cooling system. More performance means more heat and more heat, compromised of portable computer hardware switch or damage.

  Manufacturers of portable don t support cela and don offers t any helpful info about it. GPU upgrade in my opinion is not a good idea. OK, you can do with your laptop that you want and play a little bit, but I'm afraid that your project is too risky and will not end with success of m.

  If you need a more powerful computer I think it's time for the new portable computer with more powerful hardware. What you think so.

I already upgraded my PSU from a 300w to a 750w power to manage the new graphics card. During the installation of this new graphics card the computer will start show him Press esc for boot menu screen and after a while, it will go to a black screen with a cursor. I put in the disk of driver installation accompanying the GTX 780 from the start. Now, I looked online and saw a lot of people who update their bios but I couldn't find really any help for a motherboard very FRIEND 7.09 Pegatron 2ad5. And the actual task of updating a bios seems daunting. Attracted me here to see if it was something I had to do or if there is something else I could try or should I give up on my dream to get the GTX 780 to work in my config.   Most of the 7xx manufactured NVIDIA video cards are active UEFI and your PC does not have the right level of BIOS.  Your PC needs to have a BIOS version 8 level.  If the BIOS of your PCs supported the UEFI mode and secure boot you have a different problem.

  Looking for a different graphics card that requires no UEFI BIOS. You may be able to locate a Sapphire AMD graphics card that will work and be near the same level of performance. Glance at the series Sapphire R9which are not marked UEFI.

  The 780 NVIDIA or any graphics card close in performance will eventually be GPU bound.  This means that the graphics card will not reach its full potential of your PC with the design of the processor and motherboard.

  I recently bought the Zotac Geforce gtx ti 750. I also upgraded to a unit of 650W POWER supply. My ride is a h8-1223 and my motherboard is M3970BM.

  When I installed this graphics card, I got the blue HP loading screen and then a few beeps, then a black screen with the cursor in the upper left corner. From what I read, I thought that this graphics card should be compatible with my system.

  I tried to look on the HP support site to update my BIOS, in case that is the question. However, my turn, the available upgrade is for M3970CMNR and to be honest I don't know if it's important that my motherboard is actually M3970BM.

  Any help or advice that can be offered would be appreciated. If this card is not compatible, is there a list of graphics cards that are compatible with my system? My budget is of the order of $200 CAD.

  I just can't justify the risk to try to update my BIOS without knowing if it's good. I decided to return this GeForce gtx 750 ti and try another card. I encourage everyone with my PC do even.

  Update the graphics card in a laptop computer, you * must * have a portable 'MXM '. 'MXM' port resembles a port PCI-E inside a laptop computer.

  They were somewhat popular about 5 years ago, and models like the Acer 5739 G had MXM graphics cards.

  However, it is difficult to build a laptop that is scalable and ultra-thin. Today laptops use to be thin, and MXM is not popular.

  From what I see, no V5 - 573 G model has never included MXM. No MXM not = no setting a level, sorry!

  DanskeN, if you think that graphics performance are not what you expected, it could be that the application is using your integrated graphics Intel instead of the dedicated Nvidia chip. Set up the "Nvidia Control Panel" and click on "Manage 3D settings" and you should see a tab "program settings". Here you can play with or not your programs use your Nvidia card. It should above all be auto - personally, I only had a problem with a game, XCOM, using the built-in default graphics card!
