F4140 Printer ink cartridge problems

I recently bought a new black ink for my HP F4140 printer cartridge and the printer still does not work. The color cartridge is empty and has been for years. This fact has never created a problem for me because I print only in black and white. Recently, I wiped and reloaded XP Pro and all my data. At the same time, I rebooted the disc for this HP printer. This could be the problem, I will have? Does anyone have an idea how to remedy this situation before you buy a color cartridge? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hello

Try to make a stand-alone COPY (black).

Let me know if this makes a copy of black?

  • Printer ink cartridge problem e-all-in-one-HP Officejet Pro 8620

Previously an 8500 a, nothing but problems. When a cartridge has failed, had to replace all 4 cartridges.

Is the new 8620A best and HP didn't solved the problem.

Would like to know before you buy.

    Thank you

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus (the predecessor of 8620 Offciejet) and it is not necessary to replace all cartridges at the same time.  Unlike the Officejet 8500 series there is no "expiration of the ink" in the 8600 Pro Officejet or 8620 models.  I replaced the cyan cartridges and black months apart in the 8600.

I was very happy with my Offciejet Pro 8600 Plus *, currently replaced by the 8610/8620/8630. 8610/8620/8630 using the same cartrdiges and print like the Officejet Pro 8600 series heads.

    * Also and Expert HP, HP made products available to me on the basis of a loan for the assessment.  I liked the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus enough that when the loan period is on the rise, I bought a to replace.

  • Printer Photosmart D7560: message 'ink cartridge problem '.

I received an alert of yellow ink.  I replaced the cartridge CORRECTLY, closed the access door and I had the 'ink cartridge problem' indicating the cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.    The cartridge is new and I reinstalled it 5 times already.  I unplugged the power cord - both ends.  I turned the machine and then turn it on again.  YET I still get the 1) 'ink cartridge problem', 2) the warning of ink and finally 3) the printer does not print.  Can someone help me?

The document here can help solve the cartridge error message on your Photosmart D7560 printer.  If the steps in the first three steps do not resolve the problem, you will probably need to replace the cartridge.  In this case, see here for cartridge guaranteed, assuming it's a HP cartridge.

    Hello

    1. which version of the Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

3 are you facing the question with any specific application?

I suggest to print a test page for the printer and check.

The printer prints part of a page, prints blurry ink or prints faded or inaccurate colors only: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-printer-problems

Since you are faced with the question with the printer cartridges, it would be best to contact the manufacturer of the printer.

This error message came in January so I replaced the blue ink cartridge (I use genuine HP cartridges) it is now once again, so it takes the printer not the cartridge. There is nothing about it in my "documentation" and nothing relevant came in "troubleshooting."

Hi there JanePr, welcome to the Forums!

I understand that you see an error message on your Photosmart C310a on the ink cartridge is missing or damaged. The print head may have a problem that could trigger this error. I have a troubleshooting guide that I recommend that follow you, however, if you have already tried no steps, ignore them, as the replacement of the cartridge.

  • 'Ink cartridge problem' with model C309g

I inserted a new black ink to the my Photosmart C309g. I want to only use black instead of having to buy the colors as well. When I put in the dark, the screen comes up with 'ink cartridge problem", saying that the following cartridges (all color and black in the photo) are missing or damaged. Is any way to get the printer to work with the black only? I can't make it past the 'problem' screen and it will not bypass it with me I'm trying to print something in black and white.

Thank you in advance for your help!

@khuransh, you will need to replace the color cartridges until you are able to print again. The printer will not work without the color cartridges if you try to print in black. Color cartridges mixed with black to form a true black color. So when the colors are missing, the black will not work.

@creditcard, the same applies, if the cartridge of yellow that came out, the black will not work because she needed some than yellow to form a black.

I have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet 6700.  When I inserted a new cartridge, there was a false message that says the cartridge was exhausted and cannot print. I tried 3 times with 3 new cartridges with the same result, so I called HP Support. They sent me another printer parts and missing parts had to come from my old printer.  I need to remove the old printer ink cartridges carriage and install it in the HP an Envoy.  I can't seem to understand and am afraid to break if I push or pull to hard.  Does anyone know how to do this?

HP technicians two first talked on the phone told me there was a lock on the side to get (that I never found).  The third stopped in the middle of our conversation, he looked up and said that HP 6700 printer ink cartridges carriage is not removable.  Thanks for your advice and I hope that this information might help someone else. - Paw - Paw

  • deskjet1512: supplied with the printer ink cartridges seem to be bad.

With my printer ink cartridges are different from those shown on video installation.  The contacts in video are on the long side & albums, contacts of mine are on the top and the short side.  They don't fit in.  The number of cartridge amounts to 61 and corresponds to what is printed on the printer.  I can't make them fits correctly, they won't with the long (blank) side out but not attach or stay in.

    Hello @dawna4d55,

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you encounter some difficulties to install ink in the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 1512. I would like to help.

I agree that the printer takes cartridges #61. I have the 2540 all-in-one (almost exactly the same model) at home and I also found the initial installation of ink to confusion. When I realized that the main cartridge sticker or label should be facing while he sits on the cartridges and readable installation is a breeze.

For your reference, here are some resources that may clarify the configuration of ink:

    Two questions:
First... it takes a LONG time for the computer to open itself.
Then, when he did initiate... I opened the section of ink cartridge
to install the ink & transport of ink would not come to the Center.
SO... I stopped the printer to start again... and now, the
screen has a spinning wheel indicating "cartridges controls."
It lasts for more than half an hour.
HELP... This is a new printer & I can't open.
    Thank you kindly.

    Hi @paulallah,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 which took a long time to initialize and is now stuck in a mode 'check' cartridges after the reboot it because transport would not move to the Center. I would like to help with that.

I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer.

If that fails to solve the problem, you might want to speak with HP Technical Support as there may be a hardware problem.

You mentioned that you are using a Mac running OS X 10.5 Leopard or more. The HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer is only compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • Not compatible HP Photosmart C4480 printer ink cartridge

HI - first time here - I have a HP Photosmart C4480 printer and have recently installed a new black ink cartridge - genuine HP 350XL - bought in Tesco and already used a few times.  I printed a page today, and when I went to another printing, the printer says that the cartridge was incompatible.  I had not touched the printer between the prints. I tried out both cartridges and resettlement but still get the same message.  Also tried to turn again printer.

I could understand if there was a problem with the cartridge and it was rejected as soon as I installed, but does not understand why this happens between the printing of pages.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you
