Printer Photosmart D7560: message 'ink cartridge problem '.

I received an alert of yellow ink.  I replaced the cartridge CORRECTLY, closed the access door and I had the 'ink cartridge problem' indicating the cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.    The cartridge is new and I reinstalled it 5 times already.  I unplugged the power cord - both ends.  I turned the machine and then turn it on again.  YET I still get the 1) 'ink cartridge problem', 2) the warning of ink and finally 3) the printer does not print.  Can someone help me?

The document here can help solve the cartridge error message on your Photosmart D7560 printer.  If the steps in the first three steps do not resolve the problem, you will probably need to replace the cartridge.  In this case, see here for cartridge guaranteed, assuming it's a HP cartridge.

I'm sorry to hear that you still experience this issue. There is one step more that I would take to solve this problem. It's a hard reset with the cartridges taken out of the machine. No user settings are lost with a hard reset and it will attempt to restore the printer to a known working state.

    To make the following reset:
    1. remove all the cartridges of the machine and close the cover.
    2. with the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet and turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    3. then disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
    4. wait at least 30-60 seconds
    5. plug the power cord into the wall outlet first. If a module with the power cord, make sure that the light of the module and then reconnect power cord on the back of the printer
    6. the printer should power back on by itself, but if not use the power button on front panel to turn on machine.
    7. once the printer indicates that the cartridges are missing, open up and put ink inside the printer and see if it will work eventually.

After the reset above; I would replace the faulty cartridge at this point. If still a problem after you have replaced the cartridge, repeat the procedure of cleaning the contacts to ensure that the contacts are clean and that all the process of packaging materials have been removed.

  • Photosmart 7510 magenta ink cartridge problem

I have a photosmart 7510 bought 17/05/12 yet but it is in warranty.  I had problems with the magenta ink.  If I do an estimated ink level, it shows that I have a lot.  It was again last month, and he doesn't get a lot of use.  Magenta has suddenly stopped working.  I reported a revised print quality, it showed that anything for magenta.  I removed the cartridge, cleaned, cleared the area of sufficient ventilation with a PIN and followed all the instructions, then succeeded him.  New diagnostic print quality report showed a sufficient amount of magenta.  I printed a page, then lost magenta again.  I did this 3 times now.  Cartridge expiration date is 08/22/15.  I had the same problem with yellow several months ago, but here it is finally resolved itself.  Are there more steps should I take to get the magenta to work?  There is more than half of the bar display for ink available, when it shows I have ink on my report.  I am beyond frustrated.  At all time, for levels of ink from the printer itself shows I have a lot of ink, even when the test page for diagnostic andprint report show no magenta.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hi woodjams,

    Thank you for your answer!

If it works and stops intermittently and you have tried these steps several times, so I think that the problem lies in the printhead itself.

  • Printhead 7510 gliding is more to the center when I open the printer to change the ink cartridges.

I have an all-in-one Photosmart 7510. My slides print head is no longer the center when I open the printer to change the ink cartridges. It remains in place on the right side. I can't access the cartridges. Otherwise, the printer can print pages without problem - it is not blocked when printing. I have had this printer for during 9 months - it is a new problem.

Thanks, but I returned the printer for a replacement - it was still under warranty.

  • 'Ink cartridge problem' with model C309g

I inserted a new black ink to the my Photosmart C309g. I want to only use black instead of having to buy the colors as well. When I put in the dark, the screen comes up with 'ink cartridge problem", saying that the following cartridges (all color and black in the photo) are missing or damaged. Is any way to get the printer to work with the black only? I can't make it past the 'problem' screen and it will not bypass it with me I'm trying to print something in black and white.

Thank you in advance for your help!

@khuransh, you will need to replace the color cartridges until you are able to print again. The printer will not work without the color cartridges if you try to print in black. Color cartridges mixed with black to form a true black color. So when the colors are missing, the black will not work.

@creditcard, the same applies, if the cartridge of yellow that came out, the black will not work because she needed some than yellow to form a black.

This doesn't seem to be a problem with the printer itself and not Windows. I also suggest to contact the manufacturer. In this case, HP.

  • Photosmart 7510 - black ink cartridge does not print

Recently, I replaced the ink cartridges on my Photosmart 7510 C311A. These are all the "genuine HP cartridges ', full.

Black ink (with the symbol of the Pentagon) does not print, not at all. I ran through the standard troubleshooting steps:

    Cleaning of printheads

    Cleaning of copper contacts

    * Check for a good evacuation

My colleague in the corridor as the printer even so I borrowed his black ink cartridge and tried: same problem. The printer does not record that there is a problem, but when I run printing tests, where there should be a black ink, there is absolutely none. All other colors print correctly.

The printer doesn't lack NOT of the printer "align" test however does not offer a suggestion of what to do from there. I've not seen - in test reports - an indiciation of the misalignment.

Suggestions on what to do now?

I had the same problem. I had replaced the empty cartridge black and suddenly, no ink. Finally, what has worked is
    (1) I removed all the cartridges and cleaned the copper connectors with wet Publix.
    (2) I got a wet paper towel and he pressed repeatedly on the silver circular vent that would be under the black cartridge. I did until no black came. Let it dry.
    (3) I replaced all the cartridges and on the printer. I went to tools/clean the cartridge. I did it a couple of times and he finally printed black ink! I confirmed by going to tools/align, and align the cartridges successfully. He had kept before crashes when the black ink did not work.

  • HP Photosmart Plus all-in-One: ink cartridge problems

I have a model B209.  Last week, I decided that I would take the four staples of cartridgesto used, because they have a recycling program.  I wanted to only buy black ink, so I bought 2 separate packages of the 564 Black.  Has opened a package and installed as usual.  All I keep seeing is problem Catrridge of ink: the following ink cartridges seems to be missing or damaged.  see status screen on your computer for more details.  The question is # 1 status display has not yet shown on my computer. #2 I can't even to other options on the Touchscrren of the printer.  I have read and watched videos of people who give directions and instructions on cleaning the print heads.  I tried to remove the printhead, soaking in the water, leaving back dry and enforcement.  I did these things repeatedly.  When I soak the print head in the water, the water changes color.  I hope that I have accidentally hit the wrong part of print head when I removed it from the printer.  Please help, because it's my only other option when I can't access wifi to my portable device used for the printing of tickets, Groupons, etc..  Thank you!

Your printer requres all 4 cartridges to be present, that is why the printer tells you that the cartridges are missing can may not last.

Some newer model printers, which use the cartridges with integrated print heads, can operate with only the black cartridge only.

But the B209, separated print head and ink cartridges, if not all the cartridges are installed, the print head does not work.

My printer ran low on ink... I replaced both cartridges, after which I was instructed to print an alignment sheet. It does not write legibly. On my old printer, I used to be able to "clean head", but it does seem to be this option on this printer, or is it?
