Fail to connect to Citrix with limited user, but succeeds with the Admin user

On one of the facilities of our clients located on a Citrix server, users cannot connect to the database when they are limited to users. But if the same user is promoted to the administrator, it can connect.

The Application uses ODP.Net to connect. In the installation of the other tools that use what ODBC works for limited users.

The OracleConnection.Open method throws an exception without error message.

We have installed the Oracle Client 10.2.0.1 where the provider .net is also installed on the server (otherwise it wouldn't work for the admin user either).

Anyone have any idea on why this strange behavior happening?

This is a known issue in 10201 and should be solved by patching the customer until 10204. You do this by applying the patch of the database to the client, and you can get the patch of 10204 database on Metalink.

  • IKM SQL file Append-controlled fails when it is used with the Scheduler

    We have an interface in our package where we use IKM SQL file Append-controlled. It is supposed to do an insert/truncate a local file destination. This step fails with the error 7000 run with the Scheduler. Looks like some sort of permission error.
    When the package is run manually (in the same location as the Planner), he runs this interface successfully.
    Any suggestions?

  • How can I connect Epson R1800 with the new iMac?

The printer is connected to my iMac plus old (2009) with the cable provided with the printer and an ethernet (Sonnet simply fast) adapter. It seems that the new iMac is a 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector). Although my Sonnet connector seems to fit in the port, I can't get the computer to recognize that there is a connected printer. Until I can do that, it seems that I can't download the printer driver and everything what I need Epson. (Old iMac died, failed to retrieve the latest driver from there).

    So do I need a different Ethernet adapter? Alternatively, I have USB ports available, how to connect to the printer with a USB connection?

    This printer has a USB port so just connect with a USB cable to the USB port on the iMac.  Download and install drivers from here: printer drivers Epson v3.2 for OS X.

    After installing drivers go to Scanners & printers/system to complete installation.

  • cannot access the files of another user with the admin account

    I'm on a computer with Windows Vista 64-bit home problems.
    I normally have the computer configured to connect automatically to a non privileged user and rarely use the admin account.
    Recently, I downloaded an update (Finally, more like a relocation to the latest version) and realized that I need the admin account to install properly for all users that UAC would make things a royal PITA with a zillion prompts.

    I quickly disconnected and logged in as admin. Then, I realized that the installation file has been stored in the "downloads" folder in my regular account.
    Worse still, I could not access this folder, or I couldn't tab of future security. All I could do was to 'change the property' to my admin account, but I really didn't block me on these issues. Even from Explorer using "run as administrator" gave me problems, although the DIR command in cmd.com would be the list of people.

    I used the "change user" function to log my account regular and checked the Security tab and saw that the "Administrators" Group had already read and checked 'total control '. Why can't access the admin account? As an admin with XP, I had free access to everything I wanted to leave that I wanted.

    I had a network with 2 computers.  The main computer was a Windows XP operating system and the secondary is a Windows Vista operating system.  There was a modem connection and the router. Due to a storm and a leak in my ceiling in my main computer got wet and I couldn't use it.  I have connected the modem without the router directly to the secondary computer, but it is not recognize the modem.  "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." So I ran the diagnostics and received a message that there could be a problem with the modem or the network router.  I did the thing 'ipconfig' and there is no gateway.  Is there anything I should do to make this secondary computer main computer?

    Thank you for being a member of the community of HP support.  I understand that you are unable to get the applications to connect from the front panel of the printer and you get a message "Problem with the printer" in connected HP.

    Connected HP sometimes gives a false report that there is a problem not specified with the printer. HP has been able to reproduce the error.  If there was a genuine mistake, the message would point to the problem (low on ink, paper, etc). Unspecified error message does not prevent you to use ePrint.

    Regarding applications is not enabled on the front panel of the printer, HP is aware of the problem and working on a solution. It is recommended that you have your updates of product set to automatic on the front of the printer in order to receive the update as soon as it is available.     I'm running Essbase in version 11.1.2.3.505. For some reason, I can't create or delete applications in Essbase using the native admin account. I suspect it may be due to the fact that I wore recently users another environment via LCM HSS & that the roles were somewhat detached/altered in the HSS database. I checked that the commissioning for the admin user has full administrator for the Cluster Essbase HSS rights. The ID works very well elsewhere in the suite of the EMP, workspace, planning, etc. But the option to create or delete applications are greyed out. I have a workaround, where I can use a user newly created/configured to handle these tasks. I'm not sure how LCM would allow the superposition of the admin account properties in the HSS schema.

    FYI - check the table CSS_USERS, the creation date is the date of construction original (as well as all other indigenous users) - so I don't think it's relevant. I guess the problem would lie in CSS_PROVISIONING_INFO, CSS_ROLES, or a similar place. After opening a SR with Oracle, they recommended that I restore the entire schema I quickly rejected. He is not a danger, because I use the workaround. But it would be nice to have an overview of the pros on what is happening / what has happened.
