failed to initialize graphics

I have downloaded a game of free ride games, Alice in the Wonderland. When I try to play I get a message graphics initialization does not what went wrong and I can fix it.

What's your Flash Player updated?

Adobe - Adobe Flash Player Install

Can get Shockwave too-

Adobe - Adobe Shockwave Player

If Flash Player does not help you can do better ask help of Free Ride Center (link at the bottom of their homepage) as their versions of the games would be different from a copy retail because of their game adds for free with and play with no for a price options.

  • Rollercoaster tycoon 2 "failed to initialize graphics system' on Windows 8

    Hello

I recently bought a new computer that has Windows 8. I installed Rollercoaster tycoon 2 very well, but when I try to run the game I get a message saying "could not initialize graphics system." I looked at various websites and tried different ways to get the game to run, such as the running in compatibility mode (the game worked fine on Windows 7), reducing the 8 bit 256 colors and decreasing the resolution up to 640 x 480 game. Unfortunately, none of them have made a difference, and I still get the same message every time I try to run the game. Any help or advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

Well, I just had the same problem, but it was fixed for me when I ran it in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7. As it was not compatible for Windows 8, I just tried every version in turn.

If Windows 7 CM still does not work, I suggest to try Vista or XP as well.

I have also don't work in reduced color or resolution, then maybe it will also stop work?

I just upgraded to Windows Vista 64 bit to Windows 7 64 bit.  I now have problems of execution of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.  I get an error that says: "failed to initialize graphics system '.  I think the problem has something to do with the program you want to run in 256 k colors.  I installed the new video drivers on the Dell Web site, but it did not help.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

See if you can use a Compatibility Mode setting to run in 256 colors?

  • Error Windows XP Mode: "device failed to initialize for mode video full screen.»

When I try to run an old MS-DOS application in Windows XP Mode, I get the following error in the system under MS-DOS 16-bit: "the device video failed to initialize for mode full screen.» I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 edition.

The program starts in mode text very well, but when he tries to enter graphics mode, the error message described above results.

It would seem that the emulation of the video driver in Windows XP Mode isn't quite complete as far as emulation goes. The application is an old one that was written in Borland Pascal 7.0 and used the BGI graphics programming interface. There is no equivalent version of Windows, and I would like to be able to run under Windows 7. He ran under a native install of Windows XP Pro, switch mode full-screen graphic as needed without any problem.

Is there something that can be done to make it work under Windows XP Mode in Windows 7? The emulator of map graphics of virtual machines may be adjusted/changed somehow to run full-screen graphic mode?

I had the same problem too, so instead of using the windows mode I downloaded dosbox and the programmaX interface. It's great for running applications in DOS on windows (all versions as far as I know.)

    www.dosbox.com

its pretty easy to install just choose a directory to install to. Then to install the interface you simply point to the directory where you installed dosbox. When you start the interface (programmaX), there will be a button to the top of the upper part called Assistant. Just click on the wizard button and follow the pages. If you want to create an icon for it in windows just goto tools... create a shortcut, and then click ok when the box is in place. ;)

Best of all, its all to is free with the exception of pay for you're internet usage.

    Hello

I think you should first update / reinstall the driver for the webcam / software.
You will get the webcam software / driver for Win 7 of the Toshiba UE driver page:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

before you would be stars the webcam driver installation, I recommend you to uninstall the pre-installed software (Control Panel-> programs and features)
Then restart the laptop and install the new downloaded drivers

    Hello

Seems that the software of webcam has stopped working.
I think that you should first try to reinstall this software.

First remove the software of the webcam of the system.
Then clean the system and the registry using CCleaner!
Reboot the laptop twice and run CCleaner several times to make sure that everything has been properly cleaned.
Download the software of the webcam from the European driver Toshiba page, and then install it.
Restart the unit. Launch msconfig (in RUN type msconfig) and go to the Startup tab.
There, you must deselect landmark from the webcam software. This prevents the automatic start software. Restart the unit.

Now, if you do want to use the webcam, select all programs-> Toshiba-> webcam software and start it.

  • QuickTime Player 7.7.9 for Windows failed to initialize error 2096

I tried to open QuickTime Player 7.7.9 in Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 with the latest updates for February 2016 and a pop-up message with the message of: QuickTime failed to initialize error 2096. There was also something to check that the application has been installed correctly.

I opened the Panel configuration/programs and features/QuickTime 7 and selected repair. Open Setup ran the repair and closed. I restarted the computer and I tried to run QuickTime player with the same result. I uninstalled QuickTime player, restarted the computer, downloaded and installed QuickTime Player from the Apple web site.

I tried to run the new QuickTime Player that sent the same message.

I have somehow found and executed the installer of QuickTime Player 7.7.6 (1680.95.31). I am able to access the QuickTime Player. I checked the updates and ran the update for 7.7.9 and get once more: QuickTime failed to initialize error 2096.

Any ideas why 7.7.9 does not work to me that computer gremlins are playing with my mind.

  • libnipalu.so, failed to initialize

    Greetings,

    libnipalu.so, failed to initialize

Maybe you need to run updateNIDrivers

    Quit (core dumped)

We ran updateNIDrivers (release attached), which does not seem to change the installed RPM packages (also attached to the command "rpm - qa |") ("grep ^ nor"). But the problem persisted. Previously we tried to uninstall/install with no luck. I looked around the forum and saw this message appear elsewhere, but without a solution to this particular problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kemens thanks for the reply and pointing me to the form of discussion. A brief tutorial, using NI-VISA with Arch Linux (or Ubuntu 14.04), which breaks down some of the install steps and highlights of the things to look for is more useful to this Council.

The issue was the process OR native (nipple, nipxirmu, nisvcloc, etc.) do not bind to the boot. When the box is restarted, these processes are not running which causes the application to abort (during the first call of service VISA). Once they started, everything went well.

There is a workaround for this problem/solution hackaround. See the doc attached for instructions with an example for the nipxirmu.

  • Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings does not work on Windows 7. The error is: could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw.

I can't get my Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings drive on my computer.

It gives me the error message: could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw.

What exactly is DirectDraw. and how can I make my video card and the driver compatible to it. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the drive.

    Help, please!

What kind of graphics card you have and you have the latest DirectX and video card drivers? If this isn't the case, update them.

  • Error in the launch of TES Oblivion. It reads: failed to initialize renderer. NiXAdapterDesc::GetDeviceCaps () failed.

    Here's the thing.

I had just recently completely reinstall Vista on my Dell Inspiron 1521 because recently there KSoD was (BlacK S Of Death creen). I was told that I also had to reinstall my Drivers and Utilities. I had Windows running after that I reinstalled Vista (finally able to reach the screen connection.) and then tried to install The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I got some kind of error message during installation and when I clicked okay, it shut out of the whole thing. So, I took my friends advice and jumped into the CD Drivers and Utilities that came with my Dell. I extracted, unpacked and installed all the drivers available on the menu (except those who say such as Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile on them, I don't think that those who are very important, so I only did those those.). After that I did, so I took another slap at reinstalled Oblivion. This time, he actually completed the installation. I was so excited, I clicked on the logo of oblivion on my desk, and when this menu appeared with classical music (the one that offers you the options game, Options, data files, Technical Support, etc.) I clicked Play and then the black window appears as if its going to work and then just stops and this error message is displayed: failed to initialize renderer. NiXAdapaterDesc::GetDeviceCaps() failed. Then everything closes, I tried several times and got the same results each time.

The main reason I'm being so complete in this regard is to let you know EXACTLY what I could probably help find the problem. Another thing... I'm absolutely stupid with computers, I tried Googling the error message and I found sites where people have had the same problem but they have started talking about all this driver stuff I didn't understand even remotely. I have NO Internet on my computer, unless there is a way to disconnect a cable from my PC at home and connect it to my laptop so it won't be (could this work? If so which cable I have unplug my pc at home and my laptop? Never tried it before.). So I ask, if anyone out there who is willing to help has the answer to my problem, could you tell me how to solve this problem, as if you were talking to a 6 year old? That or just make so that even the dumbest, most computer-illiteriate person could understand. I know almost nothing about all this stuff of pilot. When I reinstalled the drivers on my pc I just follow the instructions step by step that my friend gave me, but had next to no knowledge of what exactly I was doing.

EDIT: I played oblivion on my PC countless times before KSoD would have on me without any problems at all except that it could be a bit of lag... That's all. It has completely worked until I got the black screen of death on my Dell Inspiron 1521 and had to reinstall vista and all the drivers.

    Hello DJS4400,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

GetDeviceCaps() is a DirectX routine call made by the game engine for you check the details of the video card, what it is capable of supporting, and after that the game engine make certain decisions about what all the things to initialize for her. If that is a failure, it means that the game engine is not able to read your video card correctly.
Most likely, this would be a problem with the drivers and of course, could be a problem with the card itself.

Try running another game and see if it works. If it isn't, definity your drivers need a second look. If it does, this means, oblivion has a problem with the drivers you are using, or else they have not been installed correctly.

    I would first try:

Click Start-> then type ' Device Manager "in the field of research-> game controller, select device-> next Manager, select sound and video-> This will drop your card-> with the right button on the map and you should have an option to update the drivers."  Once you repeat this test.

If still no luck, right click again on the map and select Uninstall (you may have to restart after that) and then return to the driver and reinstall.   In most cases if you need to reboot, when your computer starts it will try updating the driver automatically from the site.

Please let us know status.  Thank you!
