failed to install CamStudio in window 8 proX86

http://CamStudio.org/

Hi Alain,

  1. What version of Camstudio you trying to install?
  2. The question is limited to the installation of Camstudio?

We will try these steps and check if that helps.

Method 1:

I suggest completely uninstall the traces of camstudio into the computer and try to reinstall in a clean boot state.

Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows:

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note:
Once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps in the step 3: to reset the computer as usual.

Method 2:

After my research, I see that most if users solved their problem by installing the correct Visual C++ Redistributable package.

The computer is missing the correct C++ runtime components for your type of version of the operating system. (x 86 or x 64).

Installation of the next update may solve the problem.

Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 update 3

  • Windows 8.1 fails to install in the windows store.

I go to Windows store once a week and update fails to install every time.

    Hello

There have been similar problems happening when you use a cell phone type of internet connection.

    Maybe even fixed line...

One of the workarounds I've read is to start downloading from another connection, pause the download bit after it starts and then continue with the original connection, if desired.

He has also had similar problems with 3rd party security programs. If you have one, turn it off...

In some cases the program must actually be deleted with a removal tool, not just uninstalled...

Are you in any kind of error message?

  • Failed to install (restore) on Windows 2008

I try to install RoboHelp 7 on a new system Windows Server 2008 64 - bit (very similar to Vista) who has never had any Adobe product is installed. Still, the installation fails and cancels all changes to the system. The files are created in the default installation directory (C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 7), then they are automatically deleted when the installation program fails. I tried to install several times, rebooted the machine, disabled UAC, run the installer as administrator and tried other ideas I've seen on these forums, but nothing works. I have exactly the same problem with Adobe Captivate 3, but not with other non-Adobe programs I've tried. The exact message in the InstallShield Wizard is, "the wizard was interrupted before Adobe RoboHelp 7 could be completely installed." Your system has not changed. To complete installation at another time, please run Setup again. »

Thanks for the replies. I managed to solve the installation problem actually two things:

I went to where RoboHelp was unpack the installation files (7\RoboHelp C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Adobe RoboHelp) and set all the EXEs to run in Windows XP compatibility mode.

I opened a command prompt in this directory and run the installer of RoboHelp directly without user intervention: "msiexec /i"Adobe RoboHelp 7.msi"/ passive." This installed RoboHelp using the default options.

It is apparently a problem with InstallShield on Vista which was experienced by many software manufacturers. I found the solution from Symantec for this page: http://tinyurl.com/3g2bl4

  • Office Jet 7110 fails to install correctly under windows 7. is there a resolution?

The printer appears as windows and unknown device indicates that the device does not work correctly. HP says that the printer is not available for download (Windows 7 64-bit), but the supplied driver will work.  Tried to remove the device, restart the PC and try again with the same results.

    Hello hegfla

Try the following steps to install the printer. I noticed that there are two variants of the Officejet 7100 Series driver (HP) and the other (Microsoft). If does not work, try the other. Let me know what happens.

    1. open devices and printer
    2. click on add a printer
    3. click Add a local printer
    4. from the existing use select option USB port (or spend USB001 of IP address and then enter the IP address), and then click Next
    5. click the button of Windows Update to get all the support window 7 drivers updated
    6. once the update is complete. Click HP from the left menu, then select the Officejet 7100 Series in the right menu, and then click Next.
    7. follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation.

    Hi Luigi,

Don't worry about wasting my time. I love doing research and constantly learn new things.  I found another post on this site which recommended the .NET solution.  Here is the link to this article: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/e3d8edeb-1a3b-42d3-a635-070264696db5.  Unfortunately the user in this link has failed to let us know if it worked for her or not.

If this does not work (or you don't want to go through the above steps), you must contact Microsoft Update Solution Center http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527#tab0.  Click on Contact a technical support engineerand accept the agreement.  You will receive the free e-mail directly support from Microsoft Support staff.  Don't forget to let them know all the steps you have tried so far so that they are not duplicated.

If this is resolved, I'd be happy if you referred to this site to let me know how it was fixed.

    Good luck
